### 2/5 — Great concept but unreliable

*2025-04-13, version 2.5.12*

Almost really cool! Maybe it’s my phone… but it’s hard for this to work if I’m testing anything over 40yd. I’ve tried so many different ways and still nada

### 2/5 — One Major Problem

*2025-02-13, version 2.5.12*

Don’t get me wrong, I think the concept behind this Jawku speed system is very smart. I find the product very easy to set up and pretty fundamental as far as understanding the app.

But the one major problem I have with this system is the fact that… well… it hardly ever picks up on the times I run. I literally just finished doing two 30 meter time trials and it literally did not record either of them, pretty much messing up my ability to be able to track my improvement from the last time I did the same trial. It genuinely drives me crazy that everything can be so good about the app and the system itself, except for the most important aspect of the system.

I would be perfectly fine if the reaction timing, data records system, complexity of setting up etc were somewhat messed up if it meant I would at least be able to ensure that my times would be recorded. I honestly don’t know what else to say other than the fact they may have wasted a lot of potential with this system by simply not homing in on making sure the primary focus of the system actually worked.

### 3/5 — Not reliable

*2023-05-02, version 2.4.10*

It works about 60 percent of the time for 100 m sprints which is bad. It works almost every time for 40 m dash though.

### 3/5 — Not reliable

*2023-01-14, version 2.4.8*

It works about 80 percent of the time for 100 m sprints which is bad. It works almost every time for 40 m dash though.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money.

*2025-02-06, version 2.5.12*

Chinese garbage that doesn’t work out of the box.

### 1/5 — Setup

*2024-08-11, version 2.5.12*

Setup is very frustrating and not intuitive. Had to do research on my own why mine wouldn’t connect. There aren’t even I stractions on how to charge it. Very underwhelmed and I haven’t even made it to the track yet.

### 1/5 — Jump clip registration fails

*2024-03-26*

I have sent email seeking support as my jump clip registration keeps failing- I have attached photos of the box it came in and I got no response to my query but rather an email asking me how I would rate the help I got from them!!??

Please help sort this out- I cannot use the device in the current form as you have locked the jump test option despite me buying the required goods from the Amazon store.

### 1/5 — Scam.

*2023-04-29, version 2.4.10*

The parcel took infinite time to arrive. I tried to contact customer service multiple times but they never answered. The device has now arrived... It doesn't charge and of course doesn't pair. Stay away from this product and this company. I feel I have been robbed.

### 1/5 — Speed device

*2022-08-17, version 2.4.4*

Product does not work well at all. Not only does it not work it comes with very little directions on how to use properly. ALSO, it comes with a piece that looks like it’s supposed to charge the watch, but does not fit the watch. Lastly, it takes a very long time to pair with which most times it won’t pair the device. Great idea but poorly executed….

### 1/5 — Awful first impression

*2022-06-05, version 2.2.3*

No documentation or instructions.
Clunky interface. Camera won’t rotate to set a finish line.

### 1/5 — Camera isn’t working with watch

*2022-04-26, version 1.2.1*

On the audible setting it’s not stopping the time once you pass the finish line. Only works on movement setting. I see the app hasn’t been updated in multiple years. The camera is clear and I’m still. Paid to much for this to not work correctly. Fix ASAP. Thanks

### 1/5 — Audible on on timer doesn’t work with iPhone 13

*2022-04-26, version 1.2.1*

It’s weird the “movement” race setting works but the “audible” race setting doesn’t work at all and won’t even pick up your jawku watch sensor & im still before the timer starts & it use to work on the old iOS. Please update the app

### 1/5 — Useless unless nobody is at the track

*2022-01-17, version 1.2.1*

Unless you’re a billionaire and have your own track this app is completely useless and impractical. Any person that walks in front of the camera sets it off. Good luck trying to run a 400, 200, or 100 on the track and get a time with people walking in front. I even used the most outer lane and others kept setting it off. All the boneheaded app maker needs to do is use the phone camera to record continuously and start a watch on the screen at start of race. Then after race I can stop recording and scroll back to see time I cross finish line regardless of how many people are on the track.

### 1/5 — Trash Product … Even Worse Customer Service

*2021-12-14, version 1.2.1*

The product is 2nd grade level to many other similar technologies on the market. Some of their video demos we’re cringe worthy even.

I requested a return 11 days after the product arrived and despite detailing respectfully and in thorough detail why it wasn’t the product for us and why we wanted to return it, they ignored logic and their 30-day return policy and denied my request.

Look elsewhere.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best device for sprint timing and vertical jump tracking

*2025-06-19, version 2.5.12*

The JAWKU Speed & Jump are so portable, accurate, and efficient to use. All it takes is the app on our coaches phones, and the sensor and we can accurately track any 10yrd dash, 40yrd dash, or any sprint/agility drill. Our old laser gates took so long to set up and were a hassle. JAWKU solved that problem. We recently just got JAWKU Jump and now we can test our athletes vertical jump heights from any where with only the phone and sensor. Highly recommend. Also, their support team is very helpful. We reached out wi the some questions and they explained to us that it is fine when the sensor disconnects at longer ranges as it will reconnect and transfer the data once back in range of the phone during the test.

### 5/5 — Combine Testing

*2025-02-25, version 2.5.12*

Amazing timing and jump tech we use for our combines

### 5/5 — Nick Williams-Powerlifitng/Strongman

*2024-12-05, version 2.5.12*

So I typically don’t test my vertical or speed training ever, I do Strongman and powerlifting. This time around was a little bit different though. I met the Jawku team at a show and wanted to try the vertical training out to see what kind of force I was putting off the ground and how fast I was accelerating when doing short sprints. I was surprised at how accurate the measurements were and I was surprised at how fun it was to see my vertical jump go up every single time that I did it! It was even cool to see how they incorporated fun sounds and get my competitive drive going like when we were kids with their products to make the experience more enjoyable. I will give this product an easy 10 out of 10 and would encourage athletes to use it as well so that they can track their metrics on the fly versus having to pay thousands of dollars to get it done . This IS a complete game changer for anyone that wants to take their training and athletic abilities to the next level. Check out Jawku speed today and bring out your inner athlete!

### 5/5 — Perfect for Acceleration Drills

*2024-08-13, version 2.5.12*

As a former pro athlete and basketball coach Jawku Speed helps me to make my players faster and more agile. I love when it displays NEW RECORD alert ❤️highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Amazing for self timing!

*2024-08-13, version 2.5.12*

The Jawku is great for timing yourself accurately and easily. Only takes a few seconds to set up and I can track any of my agility drills including a 5-10-5. Also use to track my 10yrd and 40yrd sprints. The sports performance center I train at showed me Jawku, they use them to run through tons of athletes during our sessions quickly.

### 5/5 — Great Product!

*2024-07-25, version 2.5.12*

First of all I want to say this is one of the best ways to time yourself if you are serious about improving your speed. For a way cheaper price you get a product that has the premium qualities of the most popular timing devices. Also it’s insanly easy to use, time efficient and they have great customer service if you need help.

### 5/5 — The update was a huge improvement

*2022-10-30, version 2.4.5*

I must say, I bought this product back in 2020 and was extremely dissatisfied. It wouldn’t even record maybe 20% of all attempts to time runs. And if someone randomly walked in front of the camera just slightly then it would screw everything up. Since 2022, I’ve had zero issues and now have sessions never missing a single time. They have really improved the app significantly. I am really glad I gave this product another chance as it is extremely convenient and simple. I’d highly recommend it now, but not 2 years ago.

### 5/5 — Super cool device

*2022-09-27, version 2.4.5*

It’s great to help track my speed and agility times. I use it 2-3 times a week and I couldn’t be happier with the system. Plus it saves me so much money compared to investing in a time gate. Thanks Jawku!

### 5/5 — Top of the line product

*2022-09-16, version 2.4.5*

I have been a Jawku fanatic for about 2 years now. I first fell in love with the brand when I was introduced to their speed technologies. What I love most is the affordable, advanced technology can be used for a wide range of clients. The wearable technology is easy to use and efficient reporting data. highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Great tool

*2022-09-13, version 2.4.5*

I have three kids that all play sports and they all use it. Two play the same sport and they like to compete to see who can do certain drills faster.
