### 1/5 — Let down

*2025-02-24, version 1.0*

This app sometimes shows 2 notes when I can hear more than two notes. I thought great things after I got the jazz guitar chords but I don’t think it lives up to the description or price. The chords sometimes randomly play an octave higher which does not fit the progression. Also the notes sometimes play out of sync and it does not sound like the way a chord naturally plays on a piano. These are the same 7 chords just transposed for each key in major and minor, so you are getting a total of 14 chords, not 200. Quite expensive to buy 14 chords for 90 US dollars.

### 2/5 — Basic chords basic info

*2026-02-04*

Well, I’m sorry to say after purchasing this it does appear to be very basic. It does not do much more than show you the simple chords which you’ll likely already know. It does not seem to indicate any method of playing different chords in combination. It’s just a very basic app and its simplest form. which tends to repeat every other music app out there if you have the Circle of Fifths you already know this info. I assumed it would get me playing more, but it’s really a basic beginner app a waste of money, but I took a risk. It would be really nice if you gave a five minute free trial for us to figure this out. I think this is the last time I will purchase something in App Store without first seeing what it is. I already know all of the theory there is nothing new for me to learn here. Perhaps showing a video on what the app is really like would’ve been helpful, but by the lack of reviews. I could see no information on what this app was again disappointed, and then the app keeps taking me to the other two apps which are basic. Absolutely not for advanced musicians once again unfortunate realization.

**Developer response:** Please update to the latest version - it made the learning experience more self-explanatory and you will be sure to find enough of a challenge for yourself. On the higher levels with ‘ear training mode’ turned on it is almost impossible to transcribe all the chords in real time without training up to it in the app first, there is always room to grow and new voicings to learn and get comfortable with.

### 5/5 — Changing the way I hear music

*2023-08-28, version 1.0*

This app makes a lot of claims for itself and I have to say it delivers on its promises. I already had the guitar version so I knew that the method works but the piano version is even better. If you are serious about improving then this is a good investment. It works in an organic way and you find change occurring as a side effect of using the app. Personally I feel much more musical for using the apps this developer produces.
