### 5/5 — HI MR ERICKSEN

*2022-01-26, version 2.0*

I heard about this app and I wanted to use a new type of calculator on my phone that isn’t the Apple one. That’s when I heard from peers that Mr. Ericksen has a calculator app. Then I got it and woo I love it.

### 5/5 — Amazing

### 4/5 — Yay. 2.0!

*2022-01-12, version 2.0*

Hi John, great to finally see this update. One question and suggestion. The original formate in a dark back ground with bright colors as the text, could you please offer that as well? Also, I am unable to get my simple additions to layout in a running tape format like they did in your original version. Could you either tell me what I need to do to get that running tape format or along with the original color scheme of Version 1.0 I asked for could you please offer that as well. Again, so happy to see Version 2.0!! Thank you!!!

**Developer response:** Hi TunaTunes, Thank you for taking the time to write a review and give suggestions, it's greatly appreciated! If you tap on the j (in a circle on the top right of the screen), the 2nd and 4th theme choices have dark backgrounds with bright colors. As for the running total, after you press "=" during a calculation, you can press "+", "–", "x" etc. and it will carry your current answer over to your next calculation. Thank you again for your review and suggestions, you may also email me at jcalc.calculator@gmail.com. All the best and happy calculating :)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Display No Longer Works

*2020-10-30, version 1.0*

Loved this app until the latest iOS update. When you open the app, the display is not working correctly. About 1/4 of all characters on the page are displayed. If you tap them one by one, they display correctly.

### 1/5 — Serious bug in the iPhone version

*2018-04-17, version 1.0*

The concept is good and the iPad version is fine but the iPhone version landscape mode does not work at all. The calculator pad does not rotate and the split view that is supposed to show the calculations does not appear.

### 1/5 — Review

*2015-04-13, version 1.0*

Honestly, cool colors.

Honestly, when I opened the app for the first time, I stared at the mass of numbers and words. There is no tutorial whatsoever, and when I tried to type the fraction 4/3 it only let me type the 4 and converted it to .25.

Although A+ on the colors.

### 1/5 — Don't buy

*2015-04-08, version 1.0*

This piece of crap does not work at all you can't even use fractions which you know if your trying to find a calculator that uses fractions then you probably want one that actually uses fractions

### 3/5 — touches trop petite

*2024-09-22, version 2.2*

les touches sont trop petit pour les grands doigts

### 3/5 — Banner

*2023-10-29, version 2.1.1*

This is a large ad banner at the top, otherwise it seems to do the job. Not a fan of the different style proposed, there should be a least one looking more conventional, less distracting. And why is there no Memory function?

### 3/5 — Good app

*2015-05-18, version 1.0*

I think that this app was very useful although I would have liked to see some other tools. I wish that they would have had tools such as sin, cosin, and tangent. Also it good have used a squaring tool and a square root.

### 3/5 — Pretty Good Calculator

*2015-05-14, version 1.0*

jCalc is a pretty standard calculator. It works well and I like hat is is colorful and you can change the theme. Also the i button is very informative for those who aren't sure they are correctly using a calculator. However, the fraction, decimal, and percentage buttons don't work, so that should be fixed. Overall, it is a pretty good calculator app.

### 3/5 — It was okay

*2015-05-08, version 1.0*

It's like a normal calculator. It's helped but I just didn't like that fact that it doesn't have all the signs and buttons I need

### 3/5 — Jcalccc

*2015-04-30, version 1.0*

This app is a very good application to use. There are many options on it. It's hard to use at first but as I used it every day it got easier. I'll be using it in my math class often. I recommend it for everyone.

I reallly like the app. It has cool designs and everything about it is very nice. It would be cool if I had a widget since I enjoy this more than the Apple calculator and would like a widget to replace the Apple one. (This is a student from 4th period AP precalc this year)
