I was genuinely excited to finally begin my badge journey, especially with America’s 250th anniversary approaching. Unfortunately, that excitement was very short-lived. The site repeatedly crashed, and I wasn’t even able to claim my first badge. It’s incredibly frustrating to be excited about participating in a program, put in the effort to get started, and immediately run into issues that prevent you from participating at all. At this point, I’m seriously considering deleting the app and my profile altogether. The last thing I want to do is invest my time and effort into a program only to be let down because the platform can’t reliably support the people who are trying to participate. I really hope these issues are addressed, because the concept is great, especially with the 250th anniversary, but the experience so far has been extremely disappointing. ### 1/5 — Been waiting *2026-08-14, version 6.2.2* I found out about the 250 badges never really wanted badges. But then I was like heck yeah. I have 5 trips planned for other badges but I’m still waiting on one from July. It’s been over a month and half and no one from the page has even emailed me back from my concern. Let alone thinking I had a log in issue that day, I reset my password (despite already logging in the day prior successfully) and it took after the 250 was closed to even get that back. It wouldn’t allow me in and then when I reached out through email, I was ignored. ### 1/5 — Application stability and availability *2026-08-13, version 6.2.2* The one time I actually tried to claim a badge—specifically for the 250th anniversary—the application was so unstable that I couldn't even log in. When I finally managed to sign in, the page just froze and kept spinning while I tried to secure the badge. I even reached out to customer support to report the issue, but I never received a response. To make matters worse, they sent out an email stating they would fulfill all 'eligible' badge requests, yet completely failed to define what or who actually qualified. ### 1/5 — No response *2026-08-13, version 6.2.2* Have tried multiple times to contact them and never a response. Tried to check in but got an error message. Kept trying and even came back July 5th to see if the error was fixed. Nope. Numerous emails sent to the “support” address with no response. Either get on the ball or discontinue this altogether. None of these trails are near me and we have all kinds of trails around that aren’t list so you can’t check in or even upload photos. I shouldn’t have to choose a trail on a list to upload photos.
