### 3/5 — Can’t sign in

*2026-04-12, version 2.0.9*

I have tried to sign in to my account for the past two days and I either get an error message or an opening video from Jeff that keeps looping. I have a current subscription but can’t use it and have no other way to access you

### 3/5 — GPS tracking isn’t accurate

*2026-01-15*

I really want to love this app, but the GPS needs work. I’m just getting back into running, so I’m doing the 5k plan. I like the voice coaching and all of the features in the app, but the GPS tracking is frustrating. I did a 17 minute run/walk/run workout today and the mileage on the app was .5 miles shorter than my Garmin watch. That’s a huge difference for such a short run (and makes it really hard to do the runs that are distance based because they are so much longer than they should be based on actual GPS.) I will keep using the program for the 5k, but don’t know if it would use it for longer training programs until the GPS is improved.

### 2/5 — Good concept but…

*2026-01-13, version 2.0.8*

My phone is put into running belt and I’m relying on my watch. I don’t have it as an available app on watch and it doesn’t “redisplay” what is running on iPhone to watch. I spent more time messing with this when I could have done day 1 of training.

### 2/5 — Watch app

*2025-12-10, version 2.0.8*

Why is there not an Apple Watch app to go with this?? There was years ago. Am I missing something?

### 3/5 — Needs Apple Watch Heart Rate Integration

*2025-09-29, version 2.0.8*

I just started a timed 5k program on this app and I’m dismayed to find it does not include my heart rate data from my Apple Watch. :( I have to start an outdoor run workout on my Apple Watch to keep my heart rate in the correct range? I can use Intervals Plus and get it all, but I wanted the coaching aspect in the Galloway app. May need to cancel the trial. :(

### 4/5 — Needs a smartwatch connection

*2025-09-11, version 2.0.8*

I am really liking the app so far I just wish it synced to a smartwatch so the calorie burn and GPS could be more accurate

### 3/5 — Some good some bad

*2025-09-07, version 2.0.7*

It crashes sometimes, it doesn’t tell you your current pace like run keeper and it often doesn’t record my workouts. But I
Love Jeff Galloway and his coaching methods, just wish this app was a bit better.

### 3/5 — Fix the app

*2025-09-04, version 2.0.7*

I’ve had so many issues with this app in the past few days for some reason. It was working fine until recently. It’s not generating my workout and I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app so many times already and I’m getting very frustrated. Please fix whatever this issue is

### 2/5 — Lots of issues lately but good plan

*2025-08-23, version 2.0.7*

I have loved using this app for my run Disney training but as of late I have multiple training sessions that have not saved or it’ll look like it hasn’t saved and then I come back for the next session and it has. Normally I just screen shot the recap screen to save it for my own tracking but I shouldn’t need to do that. Plus it sometimes doesn’t calculate pace if I switch from treadmill to outside.

### 3/5 — Doesn’t work if not connected to wifi

*2025-07-19, version 2.0.6*

When it works, it is a good app. However, if I am not at my house on my WiFi, it will not save any of my activities. If I pause during a training run and am not in range of my WiFi, it will lose everything I have done and will not resume the workout. A training workout will pretend to generate but will not work if I don’t start it at the house.

### 3/5 — Not what I expected

*2025-07-16, version 2.0.5*

I was hoping for an app that could take a beginner walker to a run/walk level. This is not that. I like the music to keep the pace, but even the lowest pace is way too high for someone just starting out! There is zero warmup time as an option. I’m sorry I can’t use it.

### 3/5 — Needs a lot of improvement

*2025-06-05, version 2.0.5*

Such an infuriating app, it’s exactly the set up I’m looking for, except it’s very buggy. Once you start a session, you can’t get back out to the main screen even in you kill the app.

### 3/5 — Inaccurate miles

*2025-04-11*

I am 73 and have been running for over 50 years. I started using the run/walk/run method while training for my first marathon. I did a year’s subscription. My goal was to complete it and I did without injury. The app is great with tips to help along the way and I like to hear when it’s time to switch from run to walk. I am training for a half now and decided to use one of Jeff ‘s training plans. I think the training plan is great but the app’s mileage is inaccurate. I use Strava as well and the app is off by about 1.5 miles. I reached out for help and the app people gave me suggestions but nothing I tried worked. I’m sticking with Strava for accuracy in mapping miles but will continue to use the JG app for ratios.

### 3/5 — Not very accurate

*2025-02-20, version 2.0.5*

I love the tips and the plans but the gps is very inaccurate to the point of being useless. I have to also use Strava to get accurate mileage and route info.

### 4/5 — Great for training!! GPS flawed, though.

*2025-02-03, version 2.0.5*

I ran my fastest Half Marathon after training with this app and adopting the Run/Walk method! It is indeed a game changer. I am running faster now when I am about to turn 40 than in most of my 20s. The one thing I hope gets fixed is the GPS... it is patchy and loses signal quite often (even after fixing the phone settings). That said, this is a great training app if you want to use the Run/Walk method! I highly recommend it. If the GPS issues are fixed, I would easily give it 5 stars.

### 3/5 — It’s great BUT….

*2024-10-29, version 2.0.5*

Overall a pretty good app and is great for new runners. Jeff’s tips and tricks are great! However, the app will not work without Jeff’s audio coaching. It freezes and will not track your workout. His audio coaching is great as mentioned. But after using the app for a while, you’ve heard it all.

### 4/5 — Overall great

*2024-08-29*

I am a beginner runner and absolutely love this app. There’s enough stats detail for me, and I love the coaching feature. The only issue for me is that Jeff gives nutrition advice. I’m 15 years recovered from an eating disorder, and it’s still even triggering for me to hear things about not restricting from cravings, because “… then when nobody’s around, you’re going to eat and eat and eat…” Yikes! I’d love to be able to turn off just that portion of the coaching. For now I’m just reminding myself to ignore those bits. Otherwise, I love his tips on cadence, reminders to relax, talks about why walking is important, minutes countdown, encouragement (“You’re halfway through the workout now, keep going!”), etc.

### 3/5 — When do we get an Apple Watch version?

*2024-07-30, version 2.0.5*

I’ve reinstalled the JG app on my phone and ran a magic mile, and simultaneously recorded the run on my Apple Watch. Some interesting differences in the recording of the splits and the duration of my run. Will be happy when the Jeff Galloway team makes a watch compatible version that reads my heart rate. When that happens I’ll gladly pay for the app.

### 3/5 — Love this app but lately it’s broken

*2024-07-06, version 2.0.5*

I’ve been using the Galloway app for run walking for about a year now and have loved it. However, the last few outside runs I’ve done, it has not captured my miles ran even though I’ve got location services turned on. Reached out to support and they have been great but nothing has worked to fix it yet. Hoping an update gets pushed out soon that fixes this.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2024-06-19, version 2.0.5*

I won’t be using this app much longer. I’m just looking for a replacement. I have watched the seconds timer and it sometimes lags or jumps ahead so timing is off. The app has frozen on me a few times in the middle of a run so it doesn’t log my run at all.

### 3/5 — Almost good

*2024-06-15, version 2.0.5*

I really love the run/walk training but I just canceled my subscription today because I can’t hear Jeff’s voice in my headphones enough and there is no way to turn the volume of his voice up. It just became a safety issue for me. Hoping this is something that improve in the future.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Low quality app. High quality content

*2026-01-21, version 2.0.8*

using the app for the first time I shut it off. Awful music and if I tried to use my own, the programming would pause. I did some research on how to fix that. So I came back to the app to make the adjustments. Now I can’t log in. Not recognizing my email or my Apple ID (I’m signing in the same way I subscribed). I give up. I wanted to love this.

### 1/5 — Intro Video Looped FOREVER

*2024-12-22, version 2.0.5*

Really wanted to try this app but couldn’t get it off the darn intro video. I tried deleting and redownloading, restarting my phone and nothing worked. Ultimately deleted because of it.

### 1/5 — Method is great. App is completely broken

*2024-11-17, version 2.0.5*

App stops working mid runs. Completely unreliable. Broken.

### 1/5 — GPS is still a mess

*2024-08-11*

If you simply read down the comments you will see the developer respond that they will work on the GPS issues. Many of those comments were well over a year ago. The problem is it is not fixed. So…the main function you get with this app is to hear Jeff state “start running”. I was 8 miles into my 9 mile run last week when Jeff chimed in that I was “halfway there”. The magic mile obviously won’t calculate because the GPS isn’t even close to accurate. The developer suggested some issue resolution but none of that worked. They then told me to request a refund. My gut is they know they have not fixed major issues in the app and probably have no plans to.

Jeff G program is fantastic but I would stay far away from this app.

### 1/5 — Could be brilliant- but it’s terrible instead

*2024-07-18, version 2.0.5*

Shoe tracker doesn’t work. So I lost track of mileage on my shoes!

Pace isn’t accurate. It jumps around wildly while your running and it’s useless. I just chose to ignore it.lack of integration with Apple Watch.

Cant preview a program properly before you choose it. Then if you choose it and it’s not right for you you can’t exit a program. So annoying.

I contacted support several times about a number of bugs they kept saying were fixed. They weren’t. Despite updating the app to the latest version and deleting the app and reloading I still had all the same issues. They haven’t updated this app for six months despite it being fairly new. I tried to love it and work with it for six months. In the end I gave up.

Conversion from miles to kms is off when calculating magic mile pace. When I used a training program to run an event, there were two weeks of wind down post race left in the program that just disappeared after the event - so it finished early and I was left with no training guidance. So many glitches. Then I’d write to support and give them detailed information to help them fix - and they’d just say - oh yes the shoe tracker is supposed to automatically track your distance. Oh yeah - you should be able to just continue your training program. Not helpful!

If they fixed these glitches this app could be brilliant - but it just doesn’t do what it says in the tin!

### 1/5 — Please tell me that….

*2024-07-09, version 2.0.5*

…the wam up distances and times are not factored into the final statics of overall run times and distance! That was a fatal flaw that I send email feedback some eight years ago with the original Lolo app. Inexcusable if that hasn’t been addressed. 😑

### 1/5 — Didn’t track correctly

*2024-07-07, version 2.0.5*

I have ZERO data after my run., except that I ran for 24 mins. There’s an absurd 33k number for my pace AND while I was running it showed distance, but when I saved the run, the distance disappeared. There was also no map of my run as shown in the app pics. I really wanted to love this app, but it failed everywhere and I paid for the yearly subscription.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t make sense

*2024-06-21, version 2.0.5*

The app calculates paces that are markedly slower than anything close to my “magic mile.” I’ve gotten slower following the program to the letter.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-04-08, version 2.0.5*

You can’t listen to your own music and get voice queues
There is a skip button that doesn’t work
Once you have started a program you can’t exit it, I restarted my phone it still opens to the running program
Couldn’t log back in

### 1/5 — Where is my Lola Jeff Galloway App that I paid for!!!!!

*2023-12-26, version 2.0.5*

Loved my Lola Jeff Galloway App. I paid for it, how are you allowed to remove it. If Jeff Galloway thinks I’m going to pay for this one he can go walkies!! When he refunds me for my Lola one I might consider it, but not this one … it’s terrible.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love the app but Apple Watch not picking up

*2026-03-19, version 2.0.9*

I love the App and as a new Runner and new to exercise and training for my first 5 K & Half for RunDisney 2027 Princess Weekend! It is helping me!
But the only issue is it is not picking up to my Apple Watch and exercise rings for Apple health workouts!

### 5/5 — Run Ready

*2024-04-29, version 2.0.5*

I really enjoyed using the app to prep for Disneys Springtime surprise weekend. I have run races before, but this was my first time doing 3 in a row and wanted something to help me be ready for that. I enjoyed the coaching prompts and even used it at Disney for the long race. It takes the guesswork out of coming up with my own plan as it auto generates which I really liked. I would definitely use it again to train and keep myself accountable.

### 5/5 — Great tips!

*2024-04-28, version 2.0.5*

Jeff Galloway’s app has been great for assisting in healthy safe running for success. The tips he gives during the training have helped me learn to breath better, pace myself, and run without injury. Great app for someone who is interested in being a runner at any age without injury.

### 5/5 — Works perfectly for me

*2024-04-26, version 2.0.5*

I only use the free version to track time and recording runs and it's sensational for that. Will look to upgrade when running is more embedded in my life.

### 5/5 — Very pleased with app

*2024-04-25, version 2.0.5*

I have been attending RunDisney races since 2015. My late brother had wanted me to run them even earlier. Now since 2015 with the exception of the pandemic era. I have run in one or more races each year and I turned to Jeff Galloway when I first met him at the run Disney expo pre race days. His books then his beeper device and app are all inclusive of my training. Have enjoyed the improvements on the app and love its ease of function.

### 5/5 — Training and motivation

*2024-04-25, version 2.0.5*

Using this app has really ramped up my training. I started running last year in preparation for a fall 5k and the Jeff Galloway app was recommended. It is very motivating using the run walk run interval setting and his calming voice reminds me to breathe. Gives helpful tidbits and encourages me to go beyond my expectations for myself as a runner.

### 5/5 — Love the app-makes me want to run!

*2024-04-25, version 2.0.5*

I have read all of Jeff’s books and continue to run because the walk/run method allows me to run as I age. I have trained for 3 half marathons using his app and have been so encouraged by his coaching on the app.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2024-04-24, version 2.0.5*

Been using the Jeff Galloway app for months now with huge improvements in my running times and my running form as well!!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-04-24, version 2.0.5*

This app will make you a better runner

### 5/5 — Worth it!

*2024-04-24, version 2.0.5*

I love this app. I love the helpful tips while running, the daily tips in the app, and the encouragement along the route. His voice is soothing and helps easy my mind to enjoy my run. Worth the subscription!
