You can’t see past orders. No matter how many times I set an address as default an order of $90 just went to someone I sent a gift to last year. Cmon Jeni’s get it together. Your app sucks. ### 2/5 — Rewards system doesn’t make sense *2026-06-24, version 26.2.1* Like other reviewers said, you can buy buckets of Jeni’s ice cream (it’s truly the best), faithfully checking in every time and you end up with like, a waffle cone. You don’t really actually get rewards. It’s really a bummer. The wordle game is fun though! ### 2/5 — Always freezes (pun intended) *2026-05-07, version 26.2.1* Everytime I play the Wordle game, it freezes on me and I lose the chance to gain a puzzle piece for prizes. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Please don’t put a game in there for devoted fans to play if it’s not going to work right! Super frustrating. I’ve written in to their support team with screen recordings of the bug for months, and it’s still not fixed. ### 2/5 — Love Jeni’s Hate the App *2026-04-24, version 26.2.1* I’ve used the app in the past but somewhere along the line it deleted my card info and won’t let me add a new card. It just has a box to type in the cards expiration date and the zip code but I can’t enter the card number nor the CVV because it won’t display a text box. I’ve tried logging out and back in, updating, deleting. Nothing works. ### 2/5 — New Point System is Unfair for Celiacs/Allergies *2025-09-16, version 4.0.2* I keep getting a “free waffle cone/puzzle pieces for a cone” which is completely useless for people with allergies. You guys do such a good job of accommodating flavor wise but now I have multiple purchases I scan the app for that are basically worth nothing. Bring back the old point system or let celiacs/allergies opt out of those prizes. ### 1/5 — Major bug *2025-09-03, version 4.0.2* There’s a major bug with this app — whenever I try to open a reward, the app freezes right as the brown pint graphic starts to get bigger. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app to no avail. Also. Before this, 9/10 times I would win a buttercrisp cone piece. (The worst reward imo) The app was getting significantly less fun to play because of this. Please Jeni’s team, once you resolve this bug, consider upping the likelihood of winning free icecream or BOGOs! It makes it a lot more fun. It’s such a let down each time you use the app. This is my first negative experience with Jeni’s. Please improve this. The puzzle piece rewards are pretty infuriating, just give us a straightforward reward system, God knows we pay enough for the ice cream 😡😡😡 ### 1/5 — Cannot login *2025-07-26, version 4.0.2* App does not recognize prior accounts so when I enter account info it says user info also taken. App needs a distinct login button for users and separate one for new never registered users. Cannot use app due to this. ### 1/5 — Nigh unusable *2025-07-18, version 4.0.2* Since the last major overhaul, this app has proven to be impossible to use to order for local delivery, often forcing me to use Uber Eats (which also means I never get any points for my purchases). I LOVE Jeni’s but this app doesn’t at all reflect the quality of their product, and makes it even more difficult to obtain their product. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work *2025-05-27, version 4.0.2* I love Jeni’s so much, but with the new rewards update the app no longer works for me. It takes multiple minutes to load a single page, and never is able to load once I try to log in. Really bummed as I have been a rewards member since they began. ### 3/5 — Spin the Wheel for Puzzle Piece Seems Rigged? *2025-05-25, version 4.0.2* The app features a fun word puzzle game that lets you earn a chance to spin a prize wheel. The wheel includes puzzle pieces for rewards like a free waffle cone or bowl, free pint, free two scoops, or a free upgrade. In the past, I’ve won a free pint and ice cream scoops, but lately, I’ve only been receiving waffle cone pieces over and over. Since I have a gluten allergy and can’t use the cone rewards, I usually end up paying for someone else’s cone when I’m there. I really wish there were more chances to win other types of puzzle pieces. I’ve been playing for two weeks and just need one more piece for a free pint or scoop—but haven’t been able to get it. At this point, it’s starting to feel a bit rigged. ### 1/5 — Miss the old app *2025-05-08, version 4.0.2* User experience is terrible ### 3/5 — Gamified Rewards V1 *2025-04-25, version 4.0.2* The concept is fun and interesting but needs some tweaking. There’s a disconnect between playing the word game and the next step of spinning the wheel and then receiving the prize/puzzle piece. I have to go find the next step instead of it being presented in the following screen. Having multiple ways to earn rewards is cool. But the relationship between points, tiers and levels isn’t clear. ### 1/5 — New app/platform is awful *2025-04-13, version 4.0.2* Old app didn’t have the ability to add or use gift cards. The new app doesn’t either. The new app makes shopping online incredibly difficult; finding how to purchase online or what flavors the local store has in stock, either for scoops or pints, seems impossible. The app isn’t compatible with Google Voice phone numbers or any other type of VOIP number. The developers fail to realize that one reason these numbers are used over regular cellular numbers due to the rampant data leaks and we don’t want our phone numbers ending up on the dark web. ### 2/5 — Chill with the marketing *2025-04-08, version 4.0.2* Not a fan of the new system. I didn’t want to agree to receive marketing texts, so I can’t use the app anymore. Requested to reset my password and got an email with a link that takes me to a page that says it can’t establish a secure connection. Total dead end. There appears to be status and levels, I don't even know how to use them and I go to Jeni's frequently and I can't use the rewards. There also appears to be a credit system and a point system. There’s infinite deferral and misleading games that tell you it’s to win a mystery pint, then when you win the game, you once again get to spin for a puzzle piece that goes toward a reward. And of course you’re never winning puzzle pieces toward the same Reward so maybe after 16 trips I’ll finally win a waffle cone. Big deal. Reward your loyal customers and stop being so greedy. Almost 7 dollars now for 2 half scoops? And you don’t have the option to add scoops to the largest order anymore. I guess if you want to make it impossible for young families to afford to come, go ahead and enjoy your profits. ### 1/5 — The Worst App on My Phone *2026-01-13, version 26.2.0* I can’t even access the app at this point. It doesn’t matter how many “updates” or “bug fixes” it quite literally doesn’t let me use it. I get an error message every single time I try to enter my phone number to log in. There’s no way for me to access my Jeni’s rewards. PLEASE FIX ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-11-30, version 26.1.0* This app tricks you into buying more to win a reward called “mystery pint” which you would obviously think was a pint of ice cream. But then tells you that you need to buy something to receive the mystery pint. But then you buy something and realize that “mystery pint” appears to be a game you get to play to win a chance at reward, which is actually on 1/4 of any reward you could possibly win and you need this whole thing 3 more times to get anything. Scam. ### 1/5 — Freezes when opening reward *2025-10-12, version 4.0.2* The app has frozen multiple times when I open the reward after playing the daily puzzle. I try to wait for it to load, and after a while I force quit the app. Then when I open it again, the reward is gone and it hasn’t been applied to any of the puzzle pieces. Please fix this bug.
