The app works fine on my iPhone. However, when I start it on my IPad, the screen orientation switches and in 2 out of 3 times during a login attempt with Face ID, my iPad completely freezes. Not even the long button press to power down the IPad works. Hope to get someone’s attention from Jenius here. I had never a logon problem like this with any of my other application on my iPad. ### 2/5 — Limited options for deposits *2025-04-09, version 1.5.2* Unless you have direct deposit available to you, then there’s really no great way to get your money into your accounts. Even depositing using checks is limited and they might make you mail certain ones in. I’d rather just have my money in my accounts and make sure I know where it’s going. Just a heads up, the APR’s are great, it’s just a shame. ### 3/5 — Good start *2025-01-20, version 1.3.6* Needs to have access to statements and the ability hide accounts that are no longer open. It will be interesting to see how this app evolves. The app is missing interest that is YTD and Prior YTD. Also, it would be nice to that the app is viewable in landscape mode instead of only portrait mode. ### 3/5 — Face id works sometimes *2025-01-03, version 1.3.6* I got this app when it was first released a few months ago and there have been numerous times that Face ID does not work. It’ll work for several log-ins and then it’ll say “Error: Please log in with your username and password”. I will then log in as requested and it’ll work for couple of days and then it’ll happen again. It’s definitely annoying. ### 2/5 — Face ID doesn’t work *2024-12-24* App Is very basic but sufficient in that it allows me to see transactions, make transfers, and it lists my interest rate front and center—unlike other apps who try to bury it so you don’t see when it drops. Up until recently, the app worked just fine but now Face ID is broken. I updated to see if that fixes it and no such luck. I rarely have my password on me so this has rendered the app nearly useless at the moment. Beyond fixing Face ID, I’d love to see daily accrued interest. With Face ID fix, App would be a four. ### 1/5 — Makes me change my password every time *2024-12-17, version 1.3.6* It never lets me keep the password I make. Always makes me create a new one to log in. Quite annoying ### 1/5 — I have excellent credit score! *2024-10-22* I asked for a minimum amount of loan for a trip and they denied it , they claim they dont ask for a minimum income ,lied. Ive had loans paid before time excellent history . Which i used to build up my credit score . I was shocked they denied me . My income or 82k ran my credit and lost a bunch of points.! I dont know . The inly thing i like they’re 24/7 on phone . I wish we could chat ! There should be an option for push notifications such as for deposits, withdrawals, etc. I am not able to add or verify external accounts through the app. Otherwise the app is nice just for checking balances and transactions. ### 3/5 — App is new and needs work *2024-09-21, version 1.2.7* The app is smooth and looks great. That said, it’s quite minimal and there’s missing functionality at the moment. I can see more detail tied to my interest rates on the website and none of that can be found within the current app iteration. I will continue to use the browser version, which provides all of this and more, until the app is improved. ### 4/5 — App needs work *2024-09-15, version 1.2.7* Please bear in mind, people, that this is the App Store, and you're here to review the Jenius Bank app – *not* to review Jenius Bank's products or services. So, my assessment of the Jenius Bank app is that the developers have worked to do yet. I think this bank – in its current iteration – and the app are pretty new, so it's understandable that there would be work yet to do. Logging in is a bit clunky; you have to manually tap "Log in with Face ID" in order to log in with Face ID, which you shouldn't have to, and the rest of the app is pretty minimalist. It would be very helpful to be able to copy one's routing and account numbers, for example, and that functionality is not provided, so you have to keep switching back and forth between your other bank's app and the Jenius Bank app in order to tell your other bank what your Jenius Bank routing and account numbers are. This app just has a bunch of rough edges like that. Hopefully they'll be ironed out before too much longer. ### 3/5 — App too new to rate *2024-09-13, version 1.2.7* The download, sign in and information was as expected. One critical feature missing is the ability to access and download statements. I come to this bank just because of the HYSA. The app is simple and smooth, but it does not show the earned interest. But now, everytime I go into the app to check my account, I keep getting an error message, saying my credentials are invalid. But when I go on the site, my same credentials work. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled this app so many times and it keeps giving the same result. ### 1/5 — 🚫Horrible Bank🚫 *2025-11-20, version 1.7.1* Recommend Zynlo or OpenBank or NewTek bank instead if looking for reliable high APY account. Most of this banks customer service team is awful, lazy, not knowledgeable and lacks basic customer service skills. To get even just a basic question answered they often first give out wrong information or refuse to help. I had to ask details about a deposit and timeline for when it would finalize, they said they don’t have access to see any information on any deposit details. Which makes no sense since they are the bank in which transaction happened. Spent 15 min with the rep refusing to do their job. Asked for supervisor who answered question correctly with needed info within 2 min. Deposits take forever to clear often times with this bank. And they use high interest rate to get customers in the door then lower rate immediately after. Awful bank. Transferring to another bank immediately and closing account. ### 1/5 — ⚠️Don’t get this bank *2025-11-06, version 1.7.1* I open this savings account to starting billing my savings. Thinking with this being a new online bank it would be a great start. Got threw application process which was easy but still had to wait a day or two before account was officially opened. Got email it was opened sent up account then link external account which was another process to be approved another 3 days. Finally got it approved then when tried logging in next day account was locked. Call customer service she said she would have to put a ticket in it’s under investigation which idk why cause it clearly shows my name on account. She told me they would reach out to me. Week later I get a email saying account was closed. No call no reason why what a waste of time. And glad I didn’t put money on this bank it’s a hassle before u even do. ### 1/5 — App isn’t working *2025-05-20, version 1.5.4* Can’t log In. I have long, complicated passwords and so this means I am constantly locked out until I can get back home and dig out the password to finally be able to get in. Other than this, the app is fine. I do like how the APR is listed front and center. But overall, the app is completely worthless if I can’t get in, and for that reason, only rated one star. ### 1/5 — PLEASE FIX LOGIN *2025-02-26, version 1.4.7* I can’t sign in the app and it says invalid credentials but I can sign in easily on the website. The first one being that there wasn’t an app the second one being I wish that a checking account match came out as well.
