Jeppesen Distribution Manager (JDM) Mobile combines the functionality of our desktop platforms with the convenience of a mobile app and enables new capabilities to improve the avionics database update process. Download avionics data wherever you are using a cellular connection then transfer to storage media. JDM Mobile Benefits: • Download and transfer avionics databases wherever you are • JDM Mobile available on iPad and iPhone • Ability to download databases direct to the iPhone/iPad • Ability to transfer databases to removable media via the Bad Elf Wombat • Filter services by phase of update (available to download, transfer to device) • Filter services by aircraft tail and data type • View service information by aircraft tail, including cycle information and charts serial number • Ability to queue up all service downloads to the iPad using the “Download All” feature • Date stamp of last successful transfer to media by service • Links to important Jeppesen web pages and documents • Access to help guide and videos within the app • View account information (customer name and account number) Note 1: This application requires the Wombat device by Bad Elf which is no longer being produced. So this app literally does nothing. When will Jeppesen support transferring updated Nav data to our planes from the most common device we have with us at the plane - our iPADs! It’s kind of unbelievable they are ignoring what seems like their customer’s most common use case. Shame. ### 1/5 — Can’t write to SD cards. *2025-08-15* What is the point of this app? It can only be used to update the databases using a Bad Elf Wombat, which hasn’t been available for many years. Why not update it so it can send the data directly to the SD bard via the lightning / usb port and a standard card reader ? Very disappointing and frustrating! ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-07-15, version 1.11* If the app can’t update the avionics via an SD card, what is the point of the app given the Wombat Elf is not produced. ### 1/5 — No longer supported by Jepp *2025-06-18* Apparently, you need a Bad Elf Wombat to use JDM on iPad. Jeppesen doesn’t have an IOS solution where a pilot can download new databases (without “Bad-Elf Wombat” which is an unknown and unavailable device)? As a pilot, we’re required to haul around a laptop? Wouldn’t it be REALLY easy to modify your app so the user can download the databases to a memory card? Up your game, Jeppesen. ### 1/5 — USB C Support *2024-05-25* It should be so easy to add support to II load the downloads to a USB drive. Please add support, no need Bad Elf anymore.
