The app hung for me, then after ten mins a driver called me to say they would be - further ten mins. Having explained that would be too long to wait for me - I was marked down as a No Show. This is blatantly not true, tried to communicate this to them and no joy. Don’t trust this app ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2022-07-03, version 20.4.0* It would probably work if the drivers bothered turning up! ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE *2021-12-04, version 20.4.0* Do not use this app. Taxi did not show up despite receiving booking confirmation text and email etc. ### 1/5 — WORST SERVICE EVER *2021-10-10, version 20.4.0* Booked a taxi 5 hours before the pick up time. Get an email 5 minutes after we were supposed to get picked up saying they couldn’t pick us up and they had no more taxis available. We had baby sitter waiting for us to get home which made it worse. DON’T USE THIS APP ### 1/5 — Great App, poor service !! *2021-10-10, version 20.4.0* Last night my partner received an email cancelling his taxi 5 minutes after his pick up time. He couldn’t get another taxi. I had a separate taxi booked which turned up 10 minutes early, the driver text me (which I read and proceeded to gather my things and walk to the hotels carpark - had he arrived on time I would have been ready and waiting) he also tried to call me but I didn’t pick up as it was loud in the function room and hadn’t heard it ring in my bag. The taxi wasn’t in the car park so I walked to the front of the hotel, checked my phone and saw a text saying the driver had left as I was a no show!!! There are 2 minutes between the first text saying he had arrived and the second text saying he had left - 2 minutes, is that a joke?!? I tried calling him back but he rejected my call twice. I text him and he replied to say maybe if you had answered the phone he wouldn’t have left!! He was 10 minutes early, I had to quickly say goodbye to my family and grab my bag, surely being early you’d understand it may take a little longer. Disgusted. If a taxi has ever arrived early they would always wait until the agreed time and not just leave due to one call being missed. The taxi was booked in my name for 1 person, surely they make extra allowance when they know it’s a girl traveling on her own given the recent news coverage on this. I was left with no way home and no other available taxis. So, yes Mr Taxi driver (who I won’t name), maybe I should have picked up my phone or maybe you shouldn’t have arrived 10 min early, or maybe you could have come in and announced that you had arrived like all the other taxi drivers had, allowing the DJ to announce it. Maybe give people 5 minutes instead of 2 minutes. Never using the app again, and probably not bothering with taxi’s full stop when we have other options now that are far more reliable. If anyone knows which Company is behind the app please let me know so I can complain directly. ### 1/5 — Cancel your trip with no notice. *2021-08-31, version 20.4.0* Booked taxi giving several hours notice to go from home to ferry port. Car booked for 6pm and trip cancelled by app at 6pm leaving us desperately trying to make alternate arrangements. Don’t use it! ### 1/5 — Suits cabbies not customers *2021-08-23, version 20.4.0* Tried to use this app to book taxis to and from a wedding on the island. It is useless for prebooking. No booking is actually made, it just puts the job out there for cabbies to take or decline. Not funny when you need to get somewhere on time with your kids. Was left stranded every time I tried to use it. Even the hailing function doesn’t work. DO NOT USE FOR PREBOOKING! ### 1/5 — No stars for this app *2021-08-22, version 20.4.0* We made several bookings when we arrived in Jersey. Our first booking was cancelled 5 minutes after it supposed to be picking us up. We were unable to get another cab booked so we’re late for our meal. Didn’t want to chance the same issue the next day for a wedding. We used Yellow Cabs whilst on the island, always book but they are completely reliable, unlike the app. ### 1/5 — Poor service, rude driver’s and unreliable *2021-08-16, version 20.4.0* Don’t bother. I booked a taxi, he rang and said he couldn’t pick up from our location (no good reason why he couldn’t) so I asked where was the closest place he could. It was a few min walk away so I walked there, by the time I got there the driver drove past me. I rang the driver and he said he’d accepted another job and hung up on me. I rang the driver again and he said if I rang his number again he would report me to the police. Vile and rude person who left me stuck in town and having to walk 30 mins home. ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2020-12-03, version 20.3.6* Service is quite unreliable. You make a booking in advance and they cancel last minute. Tried to used this app multiple time’s, even with bookings in the future and never works! ### 1/5 — Not Happy *2019-12-28, version 19.8.2* JERSEY TAXI APP - booked a taxi through the app Friday morning at 9:30 for a taxi to pick us up at 11pm Friday evening. Had confirmation all was booked . At 11:05 pm whilst waiting for the taxi I get a text to say they have cancelled the booking as no drivers available. Not impressed . Luckily I was able to call a family member to come and pick us up but that could have potentially been someone having to walk home alone through the country parishes . NOT IMPRESSED 😡😡😡😡 ### 1/5 — Let down *2019-10-26, version 19.8.1* Taxi cancelled 15 minutes after we were told we would be picked up. Driver didn’t answer phone. Shall not use this’s service again. I’ve deleted the app several times and tried everything I can think of, there’s no customer support. Both trips I booked for on the day, however the confirmation came through for the 1July2023 nearly 6 months after my booking was needed. Had a text a bit later confirming my booking for the morning. Stood there like a lemon at the booked time. Only to look at the app to see it said ‘finding a driver’ and then ‘cancelled’. The drivers are polite and only 1 or 2 times have I waited more than 3-5 mins for the cab. ### 5/5 — Beyond the call of duty! *2021-08-05, version 20.4.0* I have been using Jersey Taxi app as the usual business I would go to have had no availability. All the drivers have been charming and when my prescription sunglasses got misplaced in Tony’s taxi he went beyond the call of duty to return them to me. I used it four times whilst on holiday in Jersey. On three occasions my experience was entirely positive. Prompt pick-up, friendly drivers. On one occasion, no driver was available. After reading the negative reviews I was a little hesitant on downloading this app but thought we would give it a try. It can fail and leave you stranded. It’s a bit useless at busy periods when booking ASAP, but pre booking earlier sorts that. Or it did. We were left stranded 10 o clock on a Friday night 2024 after pre booking hours before. Love the drop pin idea. Would be easier if confirmations were through text message rather email.
