When I'm spending time alone with God, I especially like going to the "With You Now" tab to see what other believers like me around the world are reading, right now. It's great to know others so far away are on their knees right now, just like I am! At my fingertips I have a storehouse of WEALTH for my mind and heart. Each day, sometimes multiple times a day, I can get on there and read letters or listen to mp3s which spur me on to turn my eyes to Jesus and remind me of what is true. This app also provides encouragements I can in turn share with others. I’m very thankful for it. I enjoy the daily scheduled text message sent to my email first thing in the morning, and often listen to the audio teaching on my commute to or from work. With the search option, I always seems to find helpful articles on topics currently on my mind, and often many others I didn't expect to find! I can conveniently add those to my "markers" for later reading. Sometimes, like today, when I'm not sure what to listen to or read, I enjoy looking at what other Believers have visited on the "with you now" tab. That describes this app. Really, I use this more than ANY other app. There's great music & books, uplifting videos, a prayer journal and it's all in ONE app. I so appreciate the Biblically based teaching and being drawn closer to Jesus & His ways. I especially like the videos --"Abandoned to His Dance' and "To Be a Christian." Good stuff!! I recommend this to anyone serious about following Jesus. I have been using the JLT app every day, multiple times a day, for years. The app is well-designed, from the "recents" page to "with you know" to the "prayer journal". Not to mention the very practical help and insight in the "teachings". The teaching albums are full of God’s help and thoughts for the various stages and questions of life. God is unrolling the scroll of His Plan and Design - Eph. 3:10. Don't miss this chance to change and become more in love with Jesus and those around you! ### 5/5 — Incredibly Encouraging *2016-02-17, version 4.1.2* The 4JLT app has been so encouraging to me ever since it's been on the App Store. The Today page is one of the first things i look at every morning when i wake up, and it has always proven to be encouraging and challenging! Causing me to talk to Jesus about how it can specifically apply to me and bring practical change to my day. I've also especially appreciated the With You Now section, looking at what others around the world are reading/watching/listening to, and knowing of specific Seeds to be praying for for others. And in times I'm looking for some Fresh Seed to plant throughout the day, i often go to With You Now to see what others have been spending their time on. I also find it very easy to navigate around, and especially appreciate being able to see all of the tracks of a particular album all at once on my iPad. Forwarding a text message or letter to others over iMessage or email is easy from a technical standpoint, and a nice way to encourage friends through the day. ### 5/5 — Love this app! *2016-02-16, version 4.1.2* I just need to say that I thoroughly appreciate Jesus Life Together app. I listen to teachings, read letters and enjoy seeing all the different people that are also looking for truth and hope in this fallen world on the "with you now". There is so much insightful, revolutionary, and Jesus-centered VISION contained herein...it seems nearly impossible such a collection could be found in one place. I will tell you now and save you some time...if you're looking for something that will make you feel good about the state of modern Christianity and lull you into a false sense of satisfaction with your own current walk with God, you might as well move on. This is NOT the app you are looking for. However, if you want biblical answers (I have never seen so much scripture referred to so often in any christian writings) as to how we can restore God's glory in His church, you will find it very, very challenging AND encouraging. But beware. You will have some decisions to make about what you are going to read and hear. You will quickly see the need to reassess everything you thought you knew about following Jesus. Again, extremely Jesus- and Bible-centered and unbelievably ENCOURAGING...if you are willing to believe that God is alive and can still change you the church and the world if we will walk by Faith! REAL FAITH rather than works, programs, legalism, man-centered teaching, seminars, workshops, conferences, and the denominational mess we've gotten ourselves into (which paints a pathetic picture of a divided body of Christ for all the world to see)! It has letters, music, and spontaneous recordings of live conversations that help reveal Jesus' Thoughts and Heart on every topic I can think of. The Search tab is helpful, in that you can type in a keyword and find many, many, related writings and audio recordings - helpful if you have something on your mind and are yearning for God's thoughts about it, wanting to find something specific to encourage someone else with, etc. And it is special to see others from many different countries listening, reading, watching right alongside you in the With You Now section. I must say that I've never been compelled to write a review for ANY app that I've ever used since the app inception. This resource however is in a category of it's own… It's enhanced and enriched our lives and has value beyond quantifying. Needless to say (but I must) we owe a debt of gratitude to all of the folks that have worked and toiled to make such a wonderful, lovely resource available. A 5-Star rating is woefully insufficient. There's a lot of great stuff here and I love the intention (I agree with a non-denominational approach to Faith). But there seems to be too much of a sense of personal influence/preference/theology here, which leads me to question the validity of some of the resources. Looking at something like their opposition of churches today. There is an inherent danger at reading the Bible and not knowing if it is being prescriptive of descriptive of the time and culture at the time. Maybe the Bible doesn't mention if people should or shouldn't gather at a certain place at a certain time, but it also doesn't mention that you should create an app, so is that wrong? He also didn't tell us to write books explaining the Bible or Biblical principles, so is that wrong also? Of course not. Jesus commands us to get the word out, according to how the Spirit leads us and as long as it doesn't contradict the teachings of the Bible. I personally believe community is vital to Spiritual growth both at a church and in church homes and we ought to spend time with God as a community, with our families and also alone. So I absolutely commend their efforts ( and using their gifts to bring honor to God) and would love to see them pray and revisit their content because it is a useful tool. ### 1/5 — Jesus, life together *2012-09-12, version 3.5.0* Update, 3.5, crashed on launch!!! In the readings something about the tone or the words that were used just gave me that feeling that it isn't something I want in my life as a Christian. I am not trying to be mean or anything; perhaps there is good information in it as well. I just think that as Christians we need to be very careful what kind of teachings we are letting into our hearts & just because someone claims it as "Christian" or "Jesus Inspired" doesn't mean it always is. You have to go with what the Holy Spirit is telling you is good to have in your life. The syncing between devices is great, and I love the "with you now" feature, seeing the activities of other folks around the world! It gives a sense of the tangible reality of how big Gods kingdom is, right NOW! You've responded to me before how you are stretched to put the "Daily Journal" feature found on the iPad onto the iPhone also. I just wanted to give a word of encouragement toward that end. I'd really love to see it. I have my phone always, but if I don't have my iPad, my journaling falls behind.
