## What is Jetting for Rotax Max EVO Kart?

This app recommends main jet, needle position and spark plug for karts with a Rotax Max EVO engine — Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior, Senior, DD2 and Supermax — from the weather conditions and your engine setup. The Senior MAX Masters and DD2 Masters categories run the same engine as Senior and DD2, so they are set up in exactly the same way.

The conditions can be pulled from the nearest public weather station using location, or typed in by hand: with no coverage the app works exactly the same.

FOUR SCREENS

- Results: the recommended jet in large type, with the exact calculated value and the two jets it falls between, in green when the choice is clear and in amber when it sits halfway. Also needle position, spark plug, air density, density altitude and relative horsepower. Fine tuning works in steps of 0.5 and tells you what each step achieves.
- Conditions: temperature, pressure, altitude and humidity, each with its own unit. When you pull them from the station you see which one answered, how far away it is and how long ago the reading was taken, with a warning if it is more than 30 minutes old.
- Engine: class, model year, spark plug brand, float height, airbox, oil percentage and oil type, and track type. For Micro MAX and Mini MAX you pick the specification instead of the year, because the MY20 kit can be retrofitted and the year of manufacture does not tell you which engine it is.
- Track logbook: every session with the circuit — picked from a catalogue of 112, with its altitude —, the conditions, what the app recommended against what you actually fitted, how it ran at the bottom, middle and top, the laps and the best time. Exports to CSV.

MORE

- Mix calculator: how much oil that fuel takes, or what ratio you ended up with if you have already poured it. Fuel and oil each have their own unit — litres, millilitres, US or imperial gallons and ounces — and one button leaves the ratio set in the calculation.
- Auto calibration: once the logbook has enough sessions, the app spots whether your engine systematically asks for more or less than the recommendation, and offers to set it as your default fine tuning.
- Share the setup as an image, to send it to the team group.
- Dark mode, system text size, VoiceOver, rotation and iPad.

UNITS

ºC and ºF; metres and feet; mb, hPa, mmHg and inHg; kg/m³, lb/ft³ and lb/gal.

UP TO DATE WITH THE REGULATION

The app follows the Global RMC Technical Regulation, which keeps the Dell'Orto VHSB 34 XS carburettor, the K57 needle, the 4.0 gr floats and the DP267 needle jet. The whole 125 MAX EVO range has been CIK-FIA approved since the 2024 season.

PRIVACY

The app uses no trackers and collects no personal data. If you use location, your coordinates are sent only to look up the nearest weather station.

Available in Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Traditional Chinese.

The app is NOT VALID for Rotax Max engines before 2015. For those engines you should install Jetting Max Kart.

## Key features

### 1/5 — Nul

*2026-04-18*

Nul

### 1/5 — Très peu d’info

*2024-09-11*

### 5/5 — Great app for racers

*2021-01-13*

This app has boosted the performance of my son’s engine. More rpm at top-end and better mid-range.

### 3/5 — Main Jet Size

*2020-07-26*

Is the calculated main jet size the number stamped on the jet or the diameter measured with a pin gauge?

### 1/5 — Altitude MILES out

*2019-02-27*

App was ok now has a glitch on the altitude, it’s approx 1000 Mtrs out so the gps data is useless, reloading app, trying on different device gives same results, emails sent no reply 😪

**Developer response:** Hello, we've just solved the issue. Please check if it's working fine now and let us know if it’s not working.

Best regards.

### 3/5 — iPhone X optimisation

*2018-11-06*

Great app, but contacted isnet 4 months ago about iPhone X optimisation and they said it woild be contained in an update 4 months later still no update.

**Developer response:** Hello, thanks for your review. The update will be available in 2 weeks.

Best regards.

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2016-10-31*

Tested for a Max Evo and found half a second !!

### 5/5 — Jetting is easy

*2016-10-25*

I'm using this app for senior max and dd2 engines and the result is incredible. I used to use other free apps and were a waste. This app totally worth the money for me

### 1/5 — Отвратительно

*2016-02-27*

Не возможно в настройках поменять диффузор поплавки иглу, в связи с чем толку от программы ноль. Зря потратил 650 рублей. Программа для Ротакс а vinturi 12.5. Бред

### 3/5 — It could be great

*2015-09-20*

The software is intuitive and easy to use, however the jet recommendations for the Micromax EVO are way off (fortunately, too rich).

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.5 — 2026-08-26

The mix calculator, and a refreshed icon.

• Mix calculator: converts between fuel, oil and ratio. You pick at the top which of the three you want to know — that one is shown in large type — and adjust the other two below, so the screen only ever has two controls and both are data.
• Fuel and oil each have their own independent unit: litres, millilitres, US gallons, imperial gallons and US or imperial ounces. Changing the unit does not change the mix, only the number it is written with.
• The ratio is shown both ways at once, as a percentage and as 1:n, because they are the same number seen from the other side: 4 % is 1:25.
• It lives on the engine screen, right below the oil percentage, and one button leaves the ratio set in the jetting calculation. If you pick one outside the range the app calculates with, it tells you and offers the nearest, instead of trimming it without a word.
• The minus and plus on each slider jump to the next round figure, so you can hit an exact value without fighting your finger.
• The percentage is oil against fuel, not against the total mix: at 4 %, five litres of fuel take 200 ml of oil. The app says so on the screen itself, because it is the most common confusion of all.
• The calculator has its own help, in all thirteen languages of the app.
• Refreshed icon: the kart and the driver are the same as ever, the treatment is what changed.

WHAT 2.4 BROUGHT, WHICH NEVER SHIPPED

If you are coming from 2.3, this version also brings you all of this:

• Track logbook: save every session with the circuit, the conditions, the jet you actually fitted, how it felt, the laps and the best time. Exports to CSV.
• Auto calibration: with several sessions saved, the app spots whether your engine systematically asks for more or less than the recommendation, and offers to set it as your default fine tuning.
• Micro MAX and Mini MAX are picked by specification, not by year. The MY20 kit can be retrofitted, so a 2018 engine that has been updated is MY20; up to 2.3 there was no way to tell the app, and it calculated it as pre-MY20 — nearly eleven jet points out.
• The recommended jet shows both neighbours, in green when the choice is clear and in amber when the real value sits halfway between two.
• Fine tuning works in steps of 0.5 and tells you what each step achieves, instead of moving an abstract number.
• Oil type: XPS Castor, synthetic or something else, stored with your setup and in every logbook session.
• Share the setup as an image, to send it to the team group.
• Weather and GPS were the same task split across two screens: they are now a single Conditions screen, showing when the reading was taken and warning you if it is more than 30 minutes old.
• The interface has been rebuilt: dark mode, system text size, VoiceOver, rotation and a proper iPad layout.
• Six new languages: Catalan, Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish and Traditional Chinese. The app is now available in thirteen languages.

Not one coefficient of the calculation has been touched in either version, and updating changes no result. What changes is that you can now tell the app your Micro or Mini has the MY20 kit. Oil type does not drive the calculation either, because what drives it is the percentage, not the base of the lubricant.

### 2.4 — 2026-08-19

The track logbook, auto calibration and six more languages.

• Share the setup as an image, to send it to the team group.
• The recommended jet now shows both neighbours, in green when the choice is clear and in amber when the real value sits halfway between two.
• Fine tuning works in steps of 0.5 and tells you what each step achieves, instead of moving an abstract number.
• Oil type: you can record whether you run XPS Castor, synthetic or something else. It is stored with your setup and in every logbook session.
• Micro MAX and Mini MAX are now identified by specification rather than year of manufacture: the MY20 kit can be retrofitted, so a 2018 engine that has been updated is MY20.
• The help on every screen has been rewritten and brought up to date.

The calculation model is unchanged: for the same conditions and the same setup, the recommended values are exactly those of the previous version. Oil type does not change it either, because what drives the calculation is the percentage, not the base of the lubricant.

### 2.3 — 2026-08-05

A thorough overhaul under the hood, for iOS 26 and today's iPhone and iPad.

• The engine year now runs up to the current season.
• Fixed: saving 0 °C made the app read it back as 25 °C, which threw the calculation off. This affected winter sessions.
• Fixed: the needle's real value was shown with the wrong number format.
• Fixed: GPS altitude was discarded at sea-level circuits.
• Interface rebuilt for current screens: no empty bands, no clipped text and no rows hidden behind the tab bar.
• The fine tuning controls are larger and easier to use with gloves on.
• All connections now go over HTTPS.
• Third-party analytics components removed. The app uses no trackers and collects no personal data.
• Catalan translation completed; some strings were missing.
• Much lighter app, and it launches faster.

The calculation model is unchanged: for the same conditions and the same setup, the recommended values are exactly those of the previous version.

### 2.2.1 — 2024-02-29

Small adjustment in the calculation model of micro and mini engines after testing on the dynamometer.
Engines updated until 2024.

### 2.2 — 2023-10-15

Small adjustment in the calculation model of micro and mini engines after testing on the dynamometer.
Engines updated until 2024.
