Hebrew Prayer: Learning Time is a private prayer book and study companion for anyone building a daily prayer practice and wanting to understand the words they say. Every prayer is presented with Hebrew, a clear Latin-letter transliteration, an English translation, and a short note on when and why it is said. There are no accounts, no friends, no feeds, no rankings. Nothing you log is ever shown to anyone else. THE PRAYER BOOK • Full library of morning, afternoon and evening service texts • Weekly day of rest and festival prayers, blessings over food and occasions, and a selection of Psalms • Hebrew, transliteration and translation on every line — show or hide each layer independently • Five text sizes, with Hebrew set in a serif face and right-aligned • Instruction inserts where the liturgy calls for one: Stand, Sit, Bow, Said only with a quorum • Bookmarks, a "Never read" filter, read counts per prayer, and resume-where-you-left-off scrolling • Search across titles, opening words and English keywords DAILY PRACTICE • Today screen showing the Hebrew date, the weekly reading portion, festivals, fast days and the counting period • Your own prayer times with a countdown to the next service on your schedule • Mark a prayer as prayed in one tap, or log it for an earlier day • Streak count, longest run, and a week strip of logged services • Reminders you set yourself for morning, afternoon and evening, with per-weekday control, separate weekly day of rest times, and an optional study nudge STUDY TRACK • 24 short lessons across four units: Letters and Words, The Shape of a Service, The Week and the Year, Reading with Understanding • Hebrew term rows, pull-quotes with sources, numbered lists and "Try this" exercises • Optional check questions with an explanation after each answer • A new teaching card every day, with an archive of the last week • Glossary of hundreds of terms with Hebrew, transliteration, meaning, a fuller explanation, and links to the prayers where each word is heard STUDY QUIZ • Twelve questions per round, fifteen seconds each • Three decks: Words, Services, and The Year • Missed questions link straight through to the matching glossary term • Best round and rounds played tracked over time HEBREW CALENDAR • Month grid with Gregorian and Hebrew day numbers side by side • Festivals, fast days, New Month and special weekly days tagged in place • Weekly reading portion with its book and chapter range • Counting period with the blessing on the days it applies • Tap any day for everything the app knows about it, plus what you prayed and wrote PRIVATE JOURNAL • Write a reflection for any day, with a mood marker and an optional image from your own library • Link a note to the prayer it refers to • Full practice history grouped by day, searchable alongside your notes • Optional biometric lock on the journal WORKS WITHOUT A NETWORK The complete prayer library, lesson track, glossary, quiz deck and a long calendar window ship inside the app and work on first launch. Everything you log is written to your device first. Content updates and corrections arrive quietly in the background. WHAT IS STORED One anonymous device identifier, used only to keep a backup of your own practice log so a reinstall restores your streak. No email, no name required, no location, no images uploaded. Export your full practice history as a plain-text file at any time. Prayer times are the ones you choose. The app does not calculate them from your position — check your local congregation's printed times. ## Is Jewish Prayer safe?
