It lacks a few features, like being able to resize the jigsaw to fit profile images, instead of just landscape ones, and being able to fully resize an image inside the box given would be a great step up. At the moment you can increase the size to fit, but cannot squeeze down larger images. Also, the sound options have stopped working. I turned them off which helped for a awhile, but now I have to mute my iPad entirely, just so that it doesn't make any noises. Personally, I'm not sure why apps like this always use music, or silly noises when moving pieces. The pieces sometimes autofit when they are set near each other, but on other occasions this feature doesn't work. Overall a good app, but it could do with some refinements. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Crash-a-minute *2020-05-12, version 1.7.5* It’s cheap to buy - which it pesters you to from the off. But the uploaded image looks squashed and much lower resolution than the original. Even at 20 pieces, it crashes out after about a minute, and when you get back in it can’t recreate the puzzle anymore. Can I have my money back? ### 1/5 — Freezes every time *2020-02-23* App freezes every time I open it. Sometimes pieces that do fit do not lock and when you return pieces to the tray they just clutter together, unlike most jigsaw apps where they slide back into the tray individually. Will try again R.Gau ### 4/5 — Solid, enjoyable app *2022-04-11* I’ve created many puzzles using a variety of the available settings on the app and it has always worked well. If you want to create puzzles from your own photos this app is solid. The only minor problem I’ve noticed is that sometimes one or two pieces, which are meant to go together, don’t actually lock into place until much of the surrounding area is complete. It’s usually left hand border pieces. It’s not a huge deal because they will eventually lock in and it doesn’t effect the completion of the puzzle. It would be great if you could reach out to us via our website / contact us page (or directly within the App) and provide any more detail you may have around this. ### 4/5 — I love this app when it works but... *2020-05-02* When working puzzles from my own photos with larger numbers of pieces sometimes a piece gets stuck at a random place on the screen and can’t be repositioned. Also I have noticed duplicate pieces. When you drag one out of the tray it places normally, when you drag the other it disappears. One puzzle of 182 pieces I used all of the pieces and one was missing. Having said all that, you can’t beat the price, and most of the time it works just fine. But it’s frustrating spending hours on a puzzle only to have it glitch. **Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to review our App. We have now released version 1.7.6 that we believe will address the problems you have seen. Because of this, I’m about to upgrade to the paid version in appreciation. ### 4/5 — An enjoyable diversion. *2019-03-02, version 1.7* A fun app, even though it keeps asking to unlock the full version, despite paying the 99p charge. It’s fun to make jigsaws of your favourite pictures. Enjoyable and relaxing. ### 4/5 — A pretty good puzzle app *2018-03-17* Update: once again I had started a puzzle, the noodle one, I got half way through it, which took a lot of time, closed the app for the night, opened it the next morning and all my work was gone, the puzzle didn’t save my progress. Please fix this issue. So far I’m liking this puzzle app. It’s right up there with some of the other ones I have. one minor issue - pieces don’t always snap together when you know they should - for instance when you only have a couple pieces left and no doubt where they go, you have to try, try, try try and finally it snaps into place. One kinda big issue - I have started puzzles, closed the app, only to come back later to work on the puzzle and the puzzle won’t open, says it can’t load and I have to go back and start over again. I did pay a small price for some of the puzzles and I’m ok with that and the price isn’t bad but I would like to see this fixed and I would continue to purchase puzzles which I hope to see more. Maybe horses, colorful birds, paintings, etc. **Developer response:** We're happy to hear that you are enjoying the puzzle App. Feedback such as yours is extremely valuable to us. The issue you are having with regards to the pieces not always snapping together could be due to the actual piece you've selected. The game is designed to only check for new connections around the currently selected piece. If you move a group of pieces check that you select the piece that you wish to connect and not another that is part of the group. Our reasoning for this is that we wanted to avoid anciently finding connections when moving a larger group of pieces. Maybe we could make it an option to check the group so people can choose how they'd prefer to play? Occasionally we have seen the issue that the App is unable to recreate a puzzle. However we have also been able to go back to the 'My Jigsaws' page and launch it successfully from the pinned / most recent games. We'd also like to expand the types of puzzle available for download and agree with your choices. Please reach out to us via email so that we can ensure we resolve any issues you maybe seeing. Mainly got it for grandchildren but with wide variety of pieces it will be good for adults as well. What I really wanted was to take pictures and turn them into puzzles, this program does exactly what I wanted. Turning pieces will be a great addition. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Square tiles! *2021-09-09* Awhile ago I contacted the developers with a feature request for square tiles, versus classic jigsaw puzzle pieces, and learned that they were considering this for a future release. Today I launched the app and noted a few UI changes, then discovered the new square tile option. Thank You! I like to use a puzzle app to train my eye as a designer; square pieces are great because they offer fewer clues about what piece fits where. With squares it’s all about spotting subtle colors, textures and gradients - no easy clues about image corners and edges. I had this feature several years ago in an old app that was discontinued. It’s nice to have it again in Jigsaw Creator Pro because the app even without this feature is excellent. **Developer response:** Great to hear that you're enjoying the square tiles. We believe that this has now been fixed and would ask you to attempt to restore your purchase. The 'Unlock All-Levels' In-App purchase can be restored from the 'Help' popover by selecting the 'restore' button. Provided that you are logged into the App Store as the same User that made the purchase the extra levels will be unlocked.
