I love how easy it is for me to navigate while listening. It’s styled well and there is not an unnecessary element. I just downloaded today and began my binge listening to Ghost Insight. An OG. Can’t go without listening to his Campfire or Paranormal podcast while cooking dinner. I’ve tried so many other paranormal podcasts, even some he recommends but just not the same vibe. If you’re interested in the mysteries of the paranormal, from true stories of hauntings, UFO sightings, Cryptids and other strangeness, you will love Spooky Studio on that merit alone. But wait! There’s more! There are other podcasts where Jim Harold interviews authors, practitioners and specialists in Occult, healing modalities, Ufology, you name it! You will learn a lot. Plus there are links to the books if you’re interested in purchasing. There are other podcast categories such as True Crime and one even on Soul Mates where folks call in to tell their stories of how they, inspire of all odds, met and fell in love. I can’t even list all the fun stuff you can discover in this Spooky Studio app. I highly recommend subscribing for hours, days and years of interesting and fun, mystifying and Spooky content. I have been subscribed now for almost two years and I still haven’t gotten through all the podcasts! Can’t wait to keep exploring! When you login into the app and you are a paid member you can access the archives of all pass episodes plus paranormal podcast and campfire which are free to the public. The app is very user friendly and neat. The content is great and of high quality. Now this app is the only podcast app I use because I can't have enough of Jim Harold's podcasts. Now if only Adventure in Odesseys club could get the same guys that made this app to make thiers.. one can only hope.. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Great app until you’re cut off without notice *2019-01-16, version 2.5.36* I’m supposed to be on auto renew Premium account but today with no notice or other explanation I’m no longer a premium user and those shows are now locked. I’ve contacted support and the billing company is offering a signup like I’m a new subscriber. I’m no longer sure I want to continue the premium podcast account after this kind of treatment. The shows themselves are pretty good depending on your paranormal interests. Because the content is good I rate 3 stars so as not to downgrade the ratings too much. ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2020-07-17, version 2.5.85* Unlike some other shows of this ilk, Jim lets the caller narrate his/ her experience. This is often frustrating and exasperating to listen to. Most callers narrate their stories poorly. They try to be overly dramatic, speak redundantly saying or give too many irrelevant details. Jim typically doesn’t interject (I wish he would) to move the story along. Each episode usually does have at least one compelling experience delivered well by the caller. ### 3/5 — Good show poor app *2020-02-01, version 2.5.76* The show is good but the app leaves something to be desired. Apparently this app has to be used while you online eve though you download stories. I downloaded stories to listen to on two long plane trips. When I clicked on the app it brought up a strange sign-in page which would not recognize me email nor passwords. The app apparently crashed. After both trips I had to reload the app. Which means I also had to reload all my favorites and download the programs I wanted to listen to. So don’t plan on listening to programs you want to hear if you don’t have internet. Prolly download stories on the nonmember podcast site ### 5/5 — Crashed 😫 *2024-04-12* I love the app. I use it constantly but as of two days ago the app crashed. I’ve tried deleting and redownloading the app multiple times but every time I open the app it says “this app has crashed” I send a complaint or whatever but nothing has worked. ### 5/5 — Best Podcast *2023-09-13* I started listening to Jim Harold’ Campfire back in 2018 while working on my house and it has been my favorite podcast while at home or driving. It’s family friendly, and if there is something that may not be, you give a warning before the episode. Being able to access to the older shows has been great because I binge them. You are a true voice of spooky stories, and I love that I found your show during the height of covid. Thank you for being here! Please never stop because we need you.
