Playback is so buggy. Full of glitches, feels unpolished. My phone had technical issue and lost all my photos luckily I had backed up most of the photos which saved my day and memories. The video becomes very blurry. Nothing is visible clearly, and I experimented it, and as soon as I recover that original video from recycle bean of my iPad gallery. The copy of the video I have in Jio cloud becomes very good quality and one other thing, I also want that the Jio team will bring attention is please fix this issue. Whenever we try upload live photos on Jio cloud. It constantly freezes and crashes, especially when scrolling through a large number of files or photos. It’s obvious that the developers haven’t implemented lazy loading properly — the app tries to load everything at once, hogging memory until it crashes. This isn’t just a small bug; it’s a fundamental design flaw in the way data and images are loaded. The experience is frustrating, and for a cloud service from a major company, this level of performance is unacceptable. If the Jio team wants to fix this, I’m available — hire me as your iOS Lead, and I’ll make sure this app runs smoothly and efficiently. ### 1/5 — Tried to enter my mobile number, didn’t work *2025-10-27, version 70.5.65* I typed in my mobile number 2 times, then I was supposedly “sent” an OTP that I never received. Then I try a third time and it says “Something went wrong. Please try again later.” I then proceed to type my email. Then says “please enter a verified email”. I’m confused, how do you verify an email when you literally just got the app? I’m honestly disappointed. I thought I found a good alternative instead of paying for iCloud+, but I didn’t. So, I’d recommend looking for alternatives. ### 1/5 — Terrible App to Upload Photos Manually *2025-07-01, version 70.5.53* I tried manually uploading photos from my gallery to one of the albums I created. If the phone locks during upload, the app throws network connectivity error and stops uploading. The app should continue to upload photos in the background, which it does not. One cannot sit with phone in hand to upload pics. I tried to upload 100+ photos to upload from photos app to jio cloud. Not a single photo uploaded. If i am uploading 20+ or less then it gets uploaded. This app can’t handle high volume of data. I have 100 gb of cloud available. I m worried about its usage. Also, document scanner has 100 pages limit. When I scanned around 90 pages App crashed🤡 ### 2/5 — Cloud is decent, but bad support for iPad *2020-03-15* Cloud service has been working decent till now, autobackup feature works well. However major drawback is a poor UI and NO LANSDCAPE MODE inspite of the claimed iPad support. Plus my videos get auto backed up only if they are downloaded offline and do not get backed up if they are in ICloud, which Photos app from Google does quite effectively. Hope Jio works over it soon to enable me actually productively use jio cloud like I have been using Box. Uploads and downloads are fast, the interface is clean, and syncing across devices works without any issues. Storage management has become more efficient, and the recent updates make it even more reliable for backup. I’m genuinely impressed with how consistently the service is getting better. I have a massive collection of media, and unfortunately, tonnes of duplicates are taking up valuable storage space. A duplicate detection feature would be a game-changer, allowing me to easily identify and delete duplicates, keeping my library organized and clutter-free. Please consider adding this feature in a future update! ### 5/5 — “Optimized vs. Original Photos: How Jio Cloud Handles Replacements” *2025-03-31* If I upload my photos in an optimized state to Jio Cloud and later change the settings to download the original photos to my device, the original photos—being larger in size and better in quality—should replace the optimized versions on the cloud. However, this didn’t happen. Additionally, if I upload photos from a different source, such as Google Photos, Jio Cloud creates duplicate copies of similar photos instead of keeping a single version.
