## What is Jiu Jitsu Style?

Log every class in the time it takes to untie your belt.

Jiu Jitsu Style is a training journal built for jiu jitsu. Too gassed to type after class? Tap the mic and say what happened, "drilled D'Arce escapes, tapped Mike with a triangle." Your speech is transcribed into a clean entry: techniques, rolls, submissions, partners, and notes. Fix it or add to it by voice before you save.

EVERYTHING YOU TRAIN, REMEMBERED
• Sequences - map how positions connect and build your own flows
• Sessions - gi or no-gi class, open mat, private, competition, or seminar
• Techniques - a living library of everything you have drilled, organized by position, with the dated lesson notes that made each one click
• Rolls - partners, outcomes, and submission stats: what you're catching people with, and what keeps catching you
• AI Coach - your journal read back to you: what's working, what keeps catching you, and what to drill next
• Belt journey - promotions and stripes from day one as a timeline
• Injuries - what's tweaked, what healed, and which roll did it
• Training partners - who you roll with, their belts, your history together
• Community - the global jiu jitsu event calendar, articles from jiujitsustyle.com, and the Mind Game series

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-10-09

A big one. Jiu Jitsu Style 1.3.0 brings the community onto the mats.
• Community: a feed, people to follow, and a public profile if you opt in — share what you're drilling and see what your training partners are working on
• Progress, redesigned: your belt, tapped / got tapped, and your numbers at a glance
• Techniques opens on search, with technique cards that open in place. Premium: describe a move in your own words and Smart Search finds it
• Class schedule: pick your training days and get reminded to log after class
• Included sequences are read-only — tap Copy to make one your own
• Clearer status names: Not familiar, Learning, Functional

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-10

JJStyle Journal is now Jiu Jitsu Style — same journal, new name and look.
• Browse free: sequences, the technique library, videos, the glossary and Community are open to everyone; Premium is where you create
• AI Coach (Premium): your journal read back to you — what's working, what keeps catching you, and what to drill next
• Community: the global jiu jitsu event calendar, articles from jiujitsustyle.com, and the Mind Game series
• Goals on your profile, training partners under Progress, and polish throughout

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-06

Save videos straight from the share sheet:
• Watching a technique on Instagram, Facebook or YouTube? Tap Share, pick JJStyle Journal, add a title and tags, and it's in your journal
• Facebook reels and videos now save alongside YouTube and Instagram links
• Turn your phone sideways in a sequence to see the whole tree
• Full-screen sequence viewer, in-app update banner, and polish throughout

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-29

Your technique library got a big upgrade:
• One card per technique, with position pills — track seen / drilled / A-game separately from guard, mount, side control, and more
• Lessons, videos, and sessions file under the position they happened from — dictation tags them automatically
• Every technique starts with a hand-picked instructional video
• Built-in glossary descriptions right on your technique cards
• Light mode, and a belt ladder on your progress screen
Plus smaller fixes and polish throughout.
