## What is Jivis?

A reminder that life, despite its difficulties, still holds meaning and value.
Every experience, connection, and new beginning can give us a reason to keep moving forward.
Even in the darkest moments, there is always the possibility of something better ahead.
Life is worth living because there are still moments to discover, people to meet, and memories to create.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0..7 — 2026-10-07

A filmstrip for your bigger memories: from 8 photos and videos, thumbnails appear under the photo. Tap one to jump straight to it, or slide the filmstrip to browse the whole memory.
Always know where you are: a counter shows which photo you're on, such as "12 / 50".
Photos shown at their best: they're no longer covered by the buttons, and everything fades away while you zoom.
Nicer on iPad: the Notebook tab is better framed.
And small improvements.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-05

Zoom into your photos: pinch or double-tap a photo to see it up close.
Download a memory: save all the photos and videos of a memory in one tap.
New Plan page: your Jivis member card and a clear gauge of your storage.
Brightness everywhere: your brightness setting now also applies to pop-ups and the photo viewer.
Accurate storage: everything you keep is counted, at its true size.
Smoother: a calmer launch and many small fixes.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-30

Jivis comes to your home screen.

• Widgets: 24 widgets for your home screen, including today's memory, your photos, your streak, a countdown or a quote that keeps you going. They refresh on their own.
• The studio: design your own widget from your journal (content, background, lettering, colours, sticker). The preview responds to every setting.
• Discreet mode: in one tap, your widgets hide photos and words from passing eyes.
• Where your memories happened: Jivis can note the city and country where you write, never the address. Find every city in your passport, under Settings › Location.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-28

Your journal can now be shared — and it's beautiful.

• Shared folders — open a folder to the people you love with a single invite link. Everyone adds their own memories, and you see them appear live. One admin, a member list with real faces, and a lovely invitation page in 7 languages.
• Journal reminders — a gentle nudge to write, at the hour you choose. Customize the message, the days, the time — it's your rhythm.
• A welcoming start — a short animated guide now greets you on first launch and shows you around: memories, folders, the Carnet, and how to make the app yours.
• The Carnet grew a lot — 40 new objects to place on your pages (boarding pass, festival wristband, pressed flower, safety pin, cake slice…), 14 new page papers (Cornell notes, habit tracker, starry night, sprinkles…), 45 new notebook covers, and patterned folder jackets with a richer color palette.
• Prettier folders on Home — 10 new hand-drawn pattern collections: hearts, sparkles, little flowers, rainbows, lace, clouds…
• Start from zero — a new option in Settings deletes your account and every trace of your data, forever. Your memories belong to you — including the right to erase them.
• Plus dozens of fixes and refinements: smoother animations, clearer navigation, and full support for all 7 languages everywhere.
