## What is JLab Sound?

With the new JLab Sound app, you’ll have control to customize the Noise Control settings, Be aware audio, touch controls, and sound to your personal preference – or use the presets for JLab Signature, Balance or Bass Boost. Plus get software updates for your product right when they’re available.

Active Noise Cancellation Control
With the new JLab Sound App, you'll be able to increase the active noise canceling from off all the way to max ANC, (on your ANC compatible earbuds) while in the earbuds themselves you can only select on or off.
 
Be Aware Audio
Bring the outside in. Use the JLab Sound App to increase or decrease the amount of outside noise you let in by adjusting your Be Aware settings. (For Be Aware Compatible earbuds only)
 
EQ Customization
Fine tune your sound by adjusting the equalizer settings. JLab products come set with three default settings - called Custom EQ3 Sound, which features JLab Signature, Balanced and Bass Boost and a 4th option 'Custom'. Use the JLab Air ANC App to test and set your own equalizer settings by adjusting Bass (200, 280, 400 Hz levels), Mid-Range (550, 770, 1000, 2000 Hz levels) and Treble (4000, 8000, 16000 Hz levels). You can adjust each of the four presets, which includes a 'Custom' option with levels starting flat.
 
Custom Controls
JLab products come with controls in each earbud that control anything from volume, track changes, play/pause and more. If you'd like to switch the settings, you can customize your controls further via the app.

I’m very disappointed, Zero Stars!!!  Both apps don’t work, epic air anc buds don’t work properly, updates imposible to download. Personalize audio experience is false advertisement. At first the air buds worked but I always have issues with the controls. Also issues with the apps available updates, apps basically stopped working as did the air buds, one buds work and the other one would not longer connect and wouldn’t charge. Deleted the app and reinstalled didn’t resolved the issues, failed connection. I would never recommend or buy smithing from this company. Piece of crap!!!!

As of August  20, 2023 app does not register device is connected in settings ultimately leaving the app useless. Currently have the GoAir Pop. Out of box they are decent especially for the price however being unable to personalize it as advertised is a huge disappointment. Now I’m left with stock settings luckily for the price they aren’t horrible hopefully this will be fixed but after reading other reviews I am not very hopeful. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Don’t down load the app - it won’t work. Will hit telling yo to “Please connect the device in setting”. The earbud sound is flat and sounds like your listening thorough a tin can and for the $34 I paid at the airport I am highly disappointed. Complete waste of money. Calling my bank for a charge back for “product not as described” because non of the features it boasts of is available.

This app came with a pair of JBuds AIR pro anc I bought from Costco, as a QR in the quick start guide. The app is absolutely useless, as it just fails to connect to the earbuds. Regardless of how many troubleshooting techniques you try, the app can’t pair to the buds.
I thought the airbus’s were defective, as they wouldn’t sound right at all - worse than anything I’ve ever used.
Then I tried the plain old JLab app. It found the buds immediately, paired immediately and installed firmware upgrade in a minute. EQ, NC, music modes - everything works perfectly now.

Don’t waste your time with the JLab Sound app, just get the plain JLab.

So… the Air Sport 3rd gen works with this app but since I have the 2nd gen, I’m just screwed out of using this app? No sound customization or equalizer options or the changing the controls to my preferences? How it’s set up is how I have to use it. That’s pathetic. Unbelievably lame. Where’s the ‘no stars’ rating? Please someone change my mind. Or show me something that helps. Anything comparable.

Aside from the fact that the app did not connect to my jlab air sport pros in the first place, I attempted to remove and redownload the app hoping to try again. Suddenly instead of Face ID I was met with password requirement, then was told to verify my card information, and upon selecting my card, there was no spot to put in the cvv to verify it. I cannot redownload the app. Sorry but I’ve gotta give it a 1 star, fix it please.

I read the negative comments and was hesitant to download the app, but there were 10 minutes of updates as soon as I launched and it works as advertised. The equalizer does bump the volume a bit, but there is little bass in these buds and efforts to increase it just create distortion, but the app is working ok as of this posting.

This app no longer works. It just loads forever. I can no longer adjust the settings or customize the headphones. This is awful. I bought these to have the ability to customize the touch controls. It only worked the first time synced them and the controls have since reverted back to default settings. JLab there needs to be some action taken to rectify this. Is there a new app? Is the app being updated? Are you no longer supporting certain earbuds? What is the reason and what is the corse of action to fox this?

Thanks to the reviews I almost made a horrible financial decision. Thank you to those who left honest reviews. If the developers cannot create well thought out, well supported products then I’m definitely not throwing my cash at them. There are plenty of products on the shelf. Those have developers that put in quite a bit of work to create working supported products. I would much rather go with those than failing, unsupported garbage that breaks when you try to connect their app to it.  Goodluck to the rest of you! Make sure to read reviews before dropping cash. otherwise you’ll be the next angry reviewer that is $60 lighter with one broken earbud.

Constantly getting message saying to connect the device to my Bluetooth even tho my earbuds (ANC Air) are perfectly connected. Also, JLab customer service doesn’t seem to know anything about how to operate my the app. There’s is not technical support number for the app so this seems like a dropped ball in Jlabs end. It’s promoted on there website as the official app for the earbuds. I also have the same issue with the TILE app that is supposed to be automatically connected to my earbuds.

JLab has told me that my issues isn’t covered under the warranty which I find RIDICULOUS seeing as this is a manufacturer issue. Definitely giving one star unless I am compensated or able to exchange for a working pair.
