Bait pricing is over for early adopters. ### 1/5 — Doesn't Work *2025-04-14, version 2.1.3* None of the jobs I enter display in the app. Actually, nothing displays in the app. It's working somewhat, because when I enter jobs in the app, they show up on the website, but not the app. The app is completely useless and does none of the things it shows in the screenshots in the description. Found no way to contact support either. ### 2/5 — Promising Concept, But Buggy and Basic *2025-10-28, version 2.1.10* I've been using JobSnail for about two months to track my job applications, and while the idea is solid, the execution falls short. The app's simple interface makes it easy to add jobs, assign statuses with color codes, upload resumes/cover letters, and view basic stats like a pie chart for progress. It's better than juggling spreadsheets or notes apps, and the backup/restore feature is a nice touch for data security. However, there are some frustrating issues. The company names in the sidebar often get truncated (e.g., "Rogers" shows as "Rog..."), and there's no way to adjust font sizes or resize elements to make them fully visible—even after trying macOS resolution changes and zoom shortcuts. This makes navigation clunky, especially with longer entries. The design feels outdated and unpolished compared to what I expected from the screenshots, and I haven't seen any updates since purchase to address these problems. The promised sync with the free web version sounds great, but if the macOS side has these glitches, it undermines the whole experience. It's a shame because this could be a great tool with some refinements. For $1.99, it's cheap, but I'd wait for fixes before recommending it. However, I would like it if you added a grid view of all the jobs and how many days it’s been since submitting an application. Also please make this app more Mac like in the future, right now this feels more like a mobile web app. ### 4/5 — A nice way to organize! *2026-04-08, version 2.2.4* Hunting for a job in this market is rough. I found JobNail makes it a little easier. It forces me to be more proactive in how I save job informations and track who I have applied with and other information. Its pretty young application and I can see it growing and adding more features to help those like myself find new employment. ### 4/5 — Good Apf *2026-02-26, version 2.2.1* I think the interface is very clean and its fairly intuitive. A few changes I would make would be to have an adjustable-width sidebar where all of the company names appear along with their statuses. Currently, the name of the company where you applied along with position etc get cut off because the width of the column is too narrow. Another thing I would change is that when you make a change to a status, for example from applied -> to interview -> to rejected, the fact that I applied and had an interview are effectively erased, as the status changes to rejected. I would prefer to keep track of every application, every interview and every rejection for each position so over time you can see any patterns (if that makes sense). I would also add a status called “ghosted” as that happens very often unfortunately. ### 4/5 — Helpful App for Job Hunting *2025-06-11, version 2.1.4* The job market, for some, is rough out there. You can apply for 25+ jobs and hear back from none of them, and even sometimes apply for the same job multiple times! I’ve tried to keep track of what I applied to through spreadsheets like Numbers or note taking apps like Craft, but JobSnail is perfect for this task. I do wish it had the ability to upload a screenshot of the job posting, though, as sometimes the Job URL will change or disappear from the web. Having an archive of this information would be helpful. ### 4/5 — Promising! *2023-07-20, version 1.0.4* Great, simple and intuitive to understand. Overall there is a lot here to like, I saw the dev is already considering adding attachments which is great! I then saw JobSnail and gave it a try-I am grateful I did. After over a 100 applications, a bunch of rejections, a good amount of interviews and finally the offers I wanted-I feel appreciative of the help JobSnail gave me. I no longer felt overwhelmed wth all the details of each job posting. It has an easy to sue interface and nice simple charting. Additional things I would like to see in the future if possible: 1) being able to have a “Location” tag for a job posting so I can know which city/country/state I would be working if accepted for that job (very low priority), 2) a tag to add a “Job ID” since some job postings have that information (low priority), 3) an Android app, 4) On the “Status” add something like “No Jobs” or something for when a company currently has no open positions. Wouldn’t really care is many of these become premium features, just them existing is good enough. Instead of scattered notes and half‑finished spreadsheets, I finally have one place to track every application, status, and interview, and it is actually easy to keep updated. I like seeing everything color‑coded at a glance, and being able to attach the exact resume and cover letter I used for each job has already saved me when someone followed up weeks later. It feels simple, useful, and respectful of my privacy, which is exactly what I want in a job search tool. ### 5/5 — Have Terrible Organization When Applying to Jobs? This App is For YOU! *2026-02-23, version 1.0.3* So far after entering a few applications there has been no issues. Personally, the design is perfect. It's simple and easy to use. Love the color coding for the status along with small details of allowing me to enter the date of when I sent in an application. Also noticed a feature that allows you to set the number of days until the status of an application changes to expired. For now I will keep that at 14 days because if you haven't heard anything by then you are probably SOL on that job. But really love that idea because if you are like me and kind of desperate at the moment and apply to a ton of jobs everyday, it gets hard to keep track of everything. Ability to copy and paste (or type) the job description in a text box. Along with another Notes section. I can see myself referring to this in the future before I walk into an interview. One suggestion, it would be nice to possibly be able to have a small calendar or another date section for when a job reaches back for an interview. Like let me enter a date and time for when I have an interview setup. And then have a small calendar for the month directly below the "main menu" or list of applications that have the dates/time of when my next interview is. That way, this app can be a one stop shop for everything job hunting related instead of switching back and forth between this app and calendar app. Or even syncing with the calendar app would be welcome. As far as the overall app, there has been no visual/UI bugs so far. The app is super fast and responsive, no lag. I am using an iPhone 11. One feature I am unfortunately not able to test at the moment is the ability to store everything on iCloud and then sync it with the MacOS version.
