This app will allow me to more quickly access information I need during hearings. I should have purchased this app years ago when it was launched. I’ve used it for years as a quick reference for DOT jobs (and the companion publications—SCO, RHAJ). It’s very well done and I’ve never found an error. It’s the easiest way to trace the steps of a VE doing a transferable skills analysis. Very detailed and helpful. ### 5/5 — Don’t leave home without it! *2015-05-20, version 1.7.2* You know how it is when you go to a hearing and the VE starts testifying - You scramble to get everything down that he says and you listen to the job descriptions he says are within your client’s RFC. If you are in a spacious room with a large table or desk, you might have room and time to spread the physical DOT out and look at the jobs the VE described, but probably not. So,you are left with only the VE’s description of those jobs. Well, not anymore - Job Sleuth is easily the best investment in my practice that I have ever made. And, not only does it have the DOT codes and descriptions, it also includes SCO, MPSMS, Work Fields, Aptitudes, and Temperaments. Everything I need and it’s all on my iPad Mini. The only thing I take to a hearing now is my iPad Mini and a legal pad. And I have much more information available and in a form that easily accessible. I think this app is an absolute necessity for anyone who represents disabled Social Security applicants. Bill Allison, Disability Lawyer ### 5/5 — 'Been waiting for this for years. *2014-12-09, version 1.7.2* I have been a legal services attorney for decades with a substantial case load of disability cases. Lugging the falling apart DOT and SCO to hearings is a pain, and the volumes have not been printed for years by the Gov't Printing Office. Private published computer versions are prohibitively expensive, and often have to be rented by the year. Job Sleuth is fast and facile, the selected characteristics and are readily available, lending itself to cross of the vocational expert witness. I could not be more pleased! And, no, I do not know the publisher from Adam. I just want this app to succeed for selfish reasons. ### 5/5 — A Must Have *2014-12-04, version 1.7.2* Job Sleuth is a must have for the disability practitioner. I purchased this app earlier this year and have relied on the convenience, ease of navigation and ability to have the DOT readily available at all times. I love how I have easy and quick access to it at all times (at hearings, in client interviews etc.) even if I'm out of cell range. I also love how fast the searches run and the number of ways available to find jobs. Finally I think the price is downright silly- cheap compared to comparable apps and oh so worth it! For Social Security disability cases It is so convenient to use my iPhone to look up clients' past work during initial interviews, to review occupations suggested by the state agency, or to cross-examine VE’s at hearings. The recent update provides even more in-depth analysis. It is very intuitive to use and no internet connection is required. The Social Security Administration said that my client could still work as a barber, although they say that he has “limited”fingering and handling. The SCO says the barber position requires Constant handling and Frequent fingering. I think we win, based on my 30 seconds on Job Sleuth.
