I always liked this app because of the map and easy layout compared to Windermere Realtor.com etc. will put five stars back when I get it a version that is working. Like, perhaps the worst one I have seen in real estate yet (have been in real estate market in Va & CO). It makes me feel like you don’t really care about my experience, at all. Is your executive/IT team really old? So they are out of touch with the fact that the app IS my John L Scott experience? My agent is lovely and great, but I only interact with her after ALOT of interacting with the app. Does your executive/IT team not care ? They think “well, you have to buy a house regardless so who cares if it easy or enjoyable”? The app has very limited functionality - no way to unlike a property to get it out of your view; no way to at a minimum comment on a property so if you can’t remove it from your view, you remember what you thought after you spent forever looking over it so that you don’t have to repeat that analysis AGAIN to remember why you weren’t going to go see that property; there is a hilarious feature that just started appearing to tell you how many properties are in view on your screen (this is never accurate & gets in the way of using the interface). It’s is just wildly apparent this app is to check a box - does John L Scott have an app? Congratulations, the answer is yes. Did John L Scott stop for even one second to think through how the app would be used, best practices, best UI….eh, nope. I like my agent so I am planning to stay with John L Scott but I will never recommend your services nor will I use you to buy the rental we will purchase after this home. You don’t care about my experience enough or are clueless at what 2021 requires from real estate. Please reach out to me with any questions - I am happy to share my thoughts with anyone who cares enough to dive further. ### 2/5 — New properties available ribbon *2021-06-05, version 5.1.1* Please remove the annoying “properties available” ribbon that keeps coming across my screen every time I move the map! ### 1/5 — Bad app *2021-02-10, version 5.0.3* It frequently doesn’t work and gives several different error messages. And no, it’s NOT my phone. I’ve had the app for about 10 +- years and it doesn’t seem to ever improve. Not sure why after all this time they can’t get it right. I don’t recommend it. And I’m moving on to something different. ### 1/5 — STOP THE PROPERTY NUMBER POP UP!!!! *2021-01-30, version 5.0.3* And FIRE the people who thought that it’s a good idea to display a pop up of how many property there are in the window! STUPID!!!!! ### 1/5 — Unusably bad *2021-01-29, version 5.0.3* The app is constantly "unable to complete request" when just zooming in and out making it impossible to view anything with any semblance of consistency and resulting in a maddening experience. ### 3/5 — Please remove property count *2021-01-23, version 5.0.2* The most recent release has a super annoying feature that keeps counting and reporting the number of homes found in map view. Who cares? Interferes with looking at houses ### 1/5 — Horrible *2020-12-22, version 5.0.1* Seems every update they find ways to make it less user friendly. Used to be my go to site back when they had different map type options so you could view the property. Now I have a big banner over my screen telling me how many properties it’s currently showing making it extremely annoying to see where the properties actually are. ### 3/5 — Two annoying items *2020-12-08, version 5.0* This has been my go to app for a number of years. It is a good app except for two things. The first is the app doesn’t work when the iPad is on its side. The second is there is no need to have the property count box. It block the lower part of the screen an shows up whenever the map is moved. And by constant I mean I was getting notified of emails from my saved searches every 5 minuets for a solid 2 hours before I finally turned off notifications. I’ve also tried submitting feedback in the app but the screen doesn’t load properly. And when I load a saved search in the app I can’t change the criteria to expand my search anymore.
