The newest update which forces the user to pick a time and a date is a mess. It will not print the ticket in the restaurant until the time chosen, and you are only given 30 minute intervals. The restaurant couldn’t prepare the order until the time picked, which was 7:30, I ordered at ~7:08 I also strongly disagree with the emphasis on “not using the drive through” with the app. Every fast food business with an app incorporates the drive through with app orders, its almost the entire purpose of the app, streamlining drive through orders and bundling rewards for customers. If I was going to Johnnies with the intent of going inside, I would do just that. Go inside. I would not use the app. I’d wager that the majority of app orders are picked up via drive through at every restaurant with the functionality. (chick fil a, mcdonalds, everywhere else). The rewards are nice, but you have to work for them. I will add that no Johnnies has ever given me trouble about using the drive through as a paying customer, but the app does its best to negate that. I rest my case. This review reflects my opinion of the Johnnies APP, and not of Johnnies as a restaurant, which is always 5/5. ### 3/5 — I love it but… *2023-09-29, version 2.2.1* Half of the side options are missing from the platters and you can’t make any modifications (ex. There is also not an easy way to get back to your cart if you have left that page. Both hamburgers were overcooked beyond well done. There was burnt black crusty meat all around the edges. When I try to log in, I always get the error “other error returned from server”. I always make notes of what my password is. If you try to reset the password, it’ll work within Safari & let’s you log in. This doesn’t give you the barcode to scan for rewards. I previously went to here at least once a week. I then have to change my password via a link in my email. I don’t actually change the password but use the exact same one each time. It then lets me log in with the same credentials I used before. Fails after changes are made. The staff is forced to do a work around the app. We do appreciate the discounts and savings Johnnie’s offer.
