JohnnyBASE turns your contacts into a flexible personal database—without giving up the speed and clarity of a native Apple app.

Use a true column-based contact table on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Choose, reorder, and resize built-in or custom-field columns. Sort directly from a heading or create a multi-level sort order with independent directions. A fast A–Z rail helps you jump through long lists.

FIND EXACTLY WHO YOU NEED

Search names, companies, titles, notes, contact methods, addresses, and custom fields. Scope a quick search to one chosen field, or combine advanced conditions using all or any. Match text that contains, begins with, or exactly equals a value—or find empty and nonempty fields. Save useful searches by name for later.

ORGANIZE CONTACTS YOUR WAY

Keep separate contact lists for different parts of your life and work. Create reusable groups without copying or moving records. Mark contacts to build a temporary working set, then show only those records when you need to act on them.

Your current group, search, marked set, and sort order stay together as you browse cards, manage group membership, export records, or prepare mailing labels.

MAKE EVERY RECORD FIT

Add list-wide custom fields using text, multiline text, number, date, date and time, yes/no, single-choice, or multiple-choice values. Custom fields automatically appear in contact cards and editing, and you can also search, display, and sort them in the table.

Store multiple labeled phone numbers, email addresses, websites, and postal addresses, with a preferred value for each. Keep searchable rich-text notes and insert a bold date-and-time stamp with one tap.

IMPORT, EXPORT, AND PRINT

Import selected people through Apple’s privacy-preserving Contacts picker, or import all contacts after granting access. Exchange ordinary contact data with vCard and CSV files. A JohnnyBASE archive preserves the complete contact-list structure, including custom fields, groups, rich notes, photos, and recently deleted records.

Create mailing-label PDFs from exactly the contacts currently showing. JohnnyBASE includes four Avery-compatible US Letter layouts, supports partially used sheets, and can share the PDF or send it to Apple’s print sheet.

READY ACROSS YOUR DEVICES

JohnnyBASE saves changes locally first, so your contact database remains available offline. Its local store is mirrored through your private iCloud database for use across JohnnyBASE on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. App Shortcuts can open a contact, find contacts, or create a new contact.
