### 3/5 — Needs work, doesn’t flow...

*2020-03-02, version 1.3*

Ap takes a little bit of finding things. Stops often, had to start over twice.
Not sure if your logged in or not, and info doesn’t flow thru. Got to type address in multiple times. Looks good, and menu is straight forward once you get in it.
I’d work on the account side, make sure customer knows they are logged in. Not looking for payment info to be saved, but account should hold all the typing info like address.

### 3/5 — App Needs Improving

*2020-02-28, version 1.3*

I really would love to see some improvements in the app. It never accepts coupon codes which is very frustrating. I also wish the app would save profile information so i would not havd to re-enter address, phond number and payment method everytime. We love Johnny's and this review is no reflection on your product! Just wish the app was as great as the pizza!

### 3/5 — Slow going

*2020-02-09, version 1.3*

App is slow in every way. Why is there a “remember me” choice if it doesn’t remember to remember me. I hate typing in my name and address every time much less the credit card number every time. I know there is a privacy issue but crap at least remember my name and address.

### 2/5 — Just ok is not ok

*2020-01-25, version 1.3*

Eventually this app will get your order to the restaurant but not without significant frustration and glitches along the way. Navigation is near impossible and if you make a mistake you’re better off restarting the app and completely starting over rather than trying to fix it. It also takes almost forever to move through the menus.

It also lacks many of the features a modern app should have. No Face ID login option. Can’t store payment methods. It has an old feel like it hasn’t had a significant overhaul in a decade or so.

App needs significant fixes to bring it up to standard.

### 3/5 — It works

*2020-01-05, version 1.3*

The app works but is extremely slow and worrisome. Any moment you feel like the app will crash on you or just get stuck. It got stuck when I tried to use the back button so I had to exit the app and try again. It worked the second time and I was able to place my order. It definitely needs some work but it gets the job done.

### 3/5 — Many glitches

*2019-11-26, version 1.3*

Please improve this app. Sometimes, it takes over 20 minutes to order a pizza. There is always difficulty signing in and it’s very hard to retrieve or reset your password. You should be able to order a pizza without an email address.

### 3/5 — Not fast enough

*2019-10-26, version 1.3*

I get really frustrated with this app because it’s so slow. Also, trying to log into an account is almost impossible. I can no longer log in with my email for some reason. It shouldn’t be this hard to order pizza on an app. I love Johnny’s. I grew up with the original in Monroe... but it’s time to spend a little more money on the marketing of this app and make it more user-friendly.

### 3/5 — Meh

*2019-09-17, version 1.3*

It does get the job done, but the app DEFINITELY needs some work...there’s a place for “Special Instructions” on your final order, but there’s no way to edit/add anything to this...coupon codes don’t work a lot of times...I can call and order delivery, but the app says “delivery not available for your address” and there’s no way to request an edit for this or anything...among other small things

### 2/5 — Just Adequate

*2019-08-26, version 1.3*

It gets the job done, but is very clunky. It’s appearance is nowhere near the streamlined apps available from chain restaurants. It’s not intuitive, and even though you can create an account, you must still enter all your information every time, which defeats the purpose. If ordering multiple items you have to go back and start all over. The overall experience is one that smacks of a high school coding class creation, but you DO eventually get your pizza. And the pizza is good!

### 3/5 — App works BUT needs improvements

*2019-07-13, version 1.3*

Love apps that make life better. Pizza is GREAT! Love Johnny’s but the app “just works”.
Need to have the ability to save your favorites and save charge info. If security is a concern...... drop the app. You are not a true online contender unless you can save client info safely. As it is..... ordering takes too long. Help us out. Thanks.

### 2/5 — It gets the job done

*2019-06-30, version 1.3*

I love Johnny Pizza House and it is disappointing that they he app looks like it was made and ran by preteens. It needs to be reworked. On the menu pictures and descriptions don’t match up. It works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. I can’t stay signed into the app and with it being the way it is half the time it won’t let me sign in so I just do it as a guest. Someone that knows what they are doing needs to sit down and redesign this entire app. Absolutely the the best pizza anywhere around though so makes it all worth it.

### 3/5 — The app!

*2019-03-28, version 1.3*

I love johnnys pizza. Grew up on it... family from out of town craves it! It’s a childhood staple. No complaints about the staff or food. However, the App is absolutely the worst I’ve ever had to fumble through. I do most of my ordering online. It’s the only place that has this bad of an app. It needs updating and improving badly.

### 2/5 — Needs work in several areas

*2019-01-24, version 1.3*

First: the pictures on the menu page don’t line up with their text, which isn’t that big of a deal but considering how simple the fix is it’s a little frustrating.

Second: the forgot password/username process times out a lot

Third: the guest checkout process is almost as involved as creating a new account. Considering Issue #2 this is a problem because it’s like I have to recreate a new account every time I want to order online.

Other than these few things the app does what is expected. Just maybe clean it up a little.

### 2/5 — Best pizza, worst app

*2018-12-20, version 1.3*

I travel for work and regularly use 20+ food apps, this is by far the most glitchy as well as the most arduous ordering process. A franchise this large should have something much more professional and user-friendly, this looks like it was made by a high schooler.
The food is worth the hassle and more, though.

### 3/5 — Buggy w/ little to no updating, but at least it does place my orders

*2018-10-16, version 1.3*

I’d like to see the Dev team (if such a thing exists; hopefully they didn’t just hire a firm to write the app for a flat rate w/ no bug fixes or feature adds.) If you live in/around Louisiana, you already know that Johnny’s pizza is the absolute best, hands-down... so I can deal w/ a buggy but working app to get my pizza :D {although updates would still be welcome.)

### 2/5 — Needs some tweaking

*2018-08-12, version 1.3*

The app is easy to follow but looks more like it was made for full website. The way that the order recap is setup is hard to read due to the way the options show up. The little round circle that is representing when the page is downloading stays on screen through the entire process. I agree with other reviewers on having to delete item and start over. We should be able to click on the item and make changes. So far, I’ve always have been able to order on the app which is good. Some aesthetic changes could make the app easier to read.

### 2/5 — Love Johnny’s hate the app

*2018-08-07, version 1.3*

The app never lets me sign in to my account. Every time I try it freezes up and I have to start over. It’s not my phone. I have an IPhone 6+ and there is always a loading thing on the screen. Annoying but it still works. Also, after I add an item I can never “go back” I have to click on the menu bar again.

### 2/5 — I love Johnny’s but hate this app

*2018-08-03, version 1.3*

This app needs a huge refresh. I can get my order in eventually, but it takes much longer than it should. It’s not completely easy to navigate. Sometimes it clears my data and I have to type it all over again. There is a little timer/scrolling image in the middle of the screen the whole time I’m trying to order, too. Just model it after another pizza or food delivery app. This one seems like one someone started just to get the app out there and never went back to fix.

### 2/5 — Frustrating

*2018-07-28, version 1.3*

This app definitely needs some work. There is a loading long that is constantly on the screen in the app, which I can ignore BUT when you are selecting (like toppings for pizza) or entering in something (like credit card info), it jumps around and, if your not careful, will change your order. For example, when I try adding toppings to a pizza, it will sometimes jump back to selecting crust type and change it from original crust to thick crust. This also happens when your checking out and trying to enter your credit card info for the payment and when you are trying to enter in your billing address info, the app will jump back to the top and show you selected cash, then when you change it back to the credit card option, you have to reenter all of your credit card info again.

FIX IT!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This App

*2021-12-17, version 1.3*

does not work … I tried for 5days & could NOT get the menu to come up. I logged in & all my past orders were gone. I usually just have to re-order. Ez Pz, right? Wrong. I ended up having to go thru their website & place a brand new order. Not as simple as it should be. I deleted the app from my phone. I have enough stress in my life to have to deal with something that’s supposed to make things easier when it actually does the exact opposite. Too Bad. 😢
I suggest you just p/u the phone & call your local Johnny’s. Just saying.

### 1/5 — Disorganized

*2021-10-18, version 1.3*

We live close to the Johnnys Pizza store on Southern Loop. Out of our love for Johnnys Pizza, we ordered different items for pickup or sometimes ordered in store. 90% of the time we were disappointed for reasons of ‘not fully coo’ or ‘wrongly filled order’ or ‘not proper ingredients were in the order’. I hope you straighten this situation because we haven’t been going to that store anymore and we would like to continue to eat Johnnys Pizza / items.

### 1/5 — App is trash, order online and save time

*2020-07-26, version 1.3*

Every single time I open the app I think hmm maybe they will catch up with the times but no. When you click on menu or orders or anything you get blank white pages and it’s soooooooooo sllloooooowwwwwwwwwwww. Save the headache and 20 minutes thinking the app will work just order online. For a pizza place that is leaps and bounds more expensive than 5.99$ specials at dominos you would think they could afford a better app. 2 thumbs down, garbage, trash, zero stars!!!

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2020-03-12, version 1.3*

I love being able to order online but this app takes 30 minutes to order a pizza and maybe cheese sauce or dessert. It stalls and the ability to order more than one item without having to wait for the screen to reload is ridiculous. Please redesign this app. The only reason I use it at all is the discount I get for using it.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2019-04-05, version 1.3*

Buggy. Freezes when keyboard is on screen. Scrolls back to top every time you press done. Things aren’t lined up correctly. Freezes when I try to log in, so just always use as guest. Very frustrating to use!

Update (months later)
This app is still exceedingly awful! Come on guys! When are you going to fix this?!? It’s terrible on iPad. It’s slightly better, but still terrible on iPhone. The green toy robot phones are irrelevant, but I’m sure it’s bad there too. The mobile web browser version is terrible. The full website is better, but still leaves a lot to be desired. I’m sure the person handling your digital market presence is a nice guy/gal, but this isn’t their thing. Fire them! We joke, at work, about how much we prefer Johnny’s pizza; but, we have to decide each time we order pizza whether we have the patience to deal with the ordering process or would rather just order from a competitor - any competitor - pick any one and their apps are measures upon measures better! We all admit to ordering from a competitor from time to time, although we wanted Johnny’s, because your digital products are THAT BAD!

### 1/5 — Useless

*2018-12-09, version 1.3*

I order from Johnny’s regularly for delivery and have for well over 10 years. I was happy to see that they had an app that I could finally use to order online like their local competitors. Unfortunately I can’t use the app as it tells me that delivery is not available at my address when entering my address information. This is obviously incorrect as they’ve been delivering to my home for over 10 years.

### 1/5 — Needs to start from scratch

*2018-10-20, version 1.3*

Check out other Pizza companies applications and get some inspiration.
It’s incredibly slow and it will not allow you to save your payment information.
Fastin easy? Absolutely not. If you order a sweep the kitchen pizza and do not want anchovies or jalapeños do you have to be very careful which box to select. At first glance selecting the square on the end is actually to get extra. Instead of none... on that same token you have to scroll all the way to the top to make sure and be able to see which box means what. It’s giving me a headache.

### 1/5 — Almost works

*2018-07-07, version 1.3*

Usually takes several times to make order go through correctly. Coupons aren’t working this time with correct codes. Took away special instructions box which can result in order being wrong according to the location I’ve used for 20 years. Sometimes the order doesn’t arrive to the restaurant either. Johnny’s please take pride in all aspects of your company like you used to.

### 1/5 — Clunky

*2017-04-15, version 1.3*

Selecting the pizza & toppings works great, but entering personal & payment information is tough. Ex: Every time I tapped the credit card number field, it either went to the credit card type or another field. It took forever to get my info added. This is basic stuff - your field alignments are off in Swift. Please fix it. Also - *BILLING ADDRESS SAME AS DELIVERY ADDRESS - make a radio box for this to be selected instead of retyping constantly.

### 1/5 — The product is great, however...

*2017-01-03, version 1.3*

The navigation on both the mobile website and the mobile app is choppy at best. There is no sense of consistency in the typeface selection. The buttons are too big in some spots and too small in others (another element that should be consistent from page to page). The process of ordering is super dull and lacks a design concept. It's a shame that one of my favorite local restaurants have such an awesome product, but can't afford a designer capable promoting with proper or even basic design principles.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2022-12-24, version 1.3*

Someone always has a complaint. No app is perfect. These people complaining of silly stuff need to breathe and enjoy life a lil more. Ease of use and no issues for me. Thank you for making this painless

### 5/5 — Needs Improvement

*2019-03-24, version 1.3*

The app would be great if they would get all the bugs out. It won’t let me login most times and when it does, it kicks me out when I start to order. It freezes and loads slow. Could be better.

### 5/5 — Decent and easy.

*2018-12-04, version 1.3*

Pretty good app I only wish there was a spot that you could type a few words in case you wanted to leave special instructions or delivery details. Other than that tho it was pretty easy to navigate.

### 5/5 — Quick and East To Use

*2018-05-29, version 1.3*

After registration, going on the app to order is a snap every time! Accidents and errors are easily fixed with a quick deletion. You don’t even have to pay from the app if you’re paying in cash. We order from here more because of their app!

### 5/5 — Local user

*2018-01-27, version 1.3*

Your updated app is much easier to use. I love the additional options. I had stopped using the app but plan to go back to using it now.

### 5/5 — A Word of Advice:

*2017-08-21, version 1.3*

App is very easy to navigate and to add other items by going back to the menu. At checkout, however, do yourself a favor and choose CASH every time. You can pay anyway you choose when you go to pick it up. You better enter everything correctly the FIRST time if you choose any other way or it will take you back to where you begin at checkout!

### 5/5 — Worked great for me!

*2017-07-29, version 1.3*

On a last minute, lazy decision to not leave the house or get off the couch I wanted Johnny's pizza. I downloaded the app and ordered my pizza in a few minutes without any issues or confusion with the app. Made my night better.

### 4/5 — Overall good

*2019-05-05, version 1.3*

It works but is a little off. The entire time I was making my order there was a spinning loading wheel on my screen and some of the images weren’t in the right place. The order was placed and everything went smoothly but it isn’t perfect.

### 4/5 — Okay App

*2018-07-27, version 1.3*

This app works okay. It gets the job done, but some of the functions do not work well. If I start to build a pizza and change my mind, I can’t use a “back” function even though there is a back arrow. If I want to delete something out of my cart, it only works sometimes. Coupon codes also only work sometimes. These issues are only slightly annoying and just take a few extra steps to get through.

### 4/5 — Decent APP

*2018-06-20, version 1.3*

The app is easy to use. The only suggestion I would make would be to include special instructions to the delivery person, such as deliver to front door; leave pizza on front step; ring doorbell; don’t ring doorbell; etc.
