An app to help the colorblind with identification of colors. The app displays a portion of the device’s camera, along with a small square sight. Upon snapping a picture (which is not stored on the device), the app first averages the red, green, and blue values of the pixels contained within the sight. It then suggests names for the color using three different methods, methods which are described in detail on the app’s information screen. The app includes a “flashlight” button to turn the device’s light on and off. It also includes a “lock” button to lock the camera’s auto-exposure feature on devices that support this function. What I think happened is that apps that use the iPhone's camera (or GPS or any other native feature) are now required to provide a detailed explanation why and how the app will use the camera. And without that explanation, the app simply doesn't ask the user for permission to use the camera. Since this app is just something I wrote for my own benefit and share for free, I don't often look at its stats or reviews. And it looks like a couple of months passed before someone emailed me and told me about the problem. I believe the problem is fixed in Version 1.1. Please give that a try.
