### 2/5 — Form over function

*2026-04-11, version 2.0.1*

Good looking app, bad UI. Swipe controls for start and end times for events is awful. Use the native iOS inputs or let the user just type in the time.

### 3/5 — Nice but

*2026-04-01*

Clean design. Easy to add tasks. BUT, I keep getting notifications for tasks that don’t exist. I believe these are the demo tasks that I had deleted.

### 3/5 — Not quite there yet

*2025-12-15, version 2.0*

Update 15 Dec 25: the latest app update has fixed most of the issues I was having. So pleased because I really like the simplicity of this app. Unfortunately I am unable to set time on tasks or add habits with custom frequency. Habits also don’t sync across devices. Not quite there yet as it’s still glitchy! Update: I tried premium for a month to see if the experience is better - wasn’t ready to give up on this app yet but the premium features do not improve things. Can’t sync across devices. Can’t write back to reminders. Can set tasks in reminders but can’t sync back which kind of defeats the purpose of using a separate task planning app. Tasks sets in reminders do not display notes and times can’t be changed. Unfortunately I will be giving up on this app as it isn’t updated regularly so can’t even be sure new features will be added // I am trying out this new app because I like the simplicity and aesthetics. It’s actually pretty great - I’ve been using Tiimo until now but it’s too fussy and glitchy. The new Joi Planner does what I want but there are a few issues to iron out. 1. There is no way to duplicate tasks or events (an issue I also have with Tiimo that drives me nuts), 2. The wake up time can be changed in settings but always appears as 9am on the calendar, 3. The scrolling time selector for calendar events sometimes doesn’t allow you to select times within the full 24 hour span. To fix this you have to save the event and go back into it - which is not ideal, 4. One of the calendars I have deselected in settings is still showing up when I create events, 5. It would be good to have some colour code options or a coloured icon/circle to differentiate between calendars on the planner (ie. I can choose which calendar my event is created in but cannot see which calendar it’s in until I click through to the event) although this is not a dealbreaker.

Overall I really like this app. I would prefer to give feedback to the developer via email or ticket but there doesn’t appear to be an option for doing that. If these small issues are fixed I think it will be a great little planning app. Give it a try!

### 3/5 — Invisible habits

*2025-12-10, version 2.0*

I’m getting spammed with my habits and they disappeared after the update

### 2/5 — Super buggy

*2025-12-08*

The app is nicely designed, but unfortunately is incredibly buggy: notifications are a mess (you either get none, or 3 in a row), widgets are useless, the app froze on me several times when I was editing something. Last update was 6 months ago. Developers don’t respond to bug report emails and I regret paying money, what a waste of

### 3/5 — So close!

*2025-11-27*

Joi has a lot of potential. I’ll become a customer once natural language is added.

### 4/5 — Not quite there yet

*2025-11-07, version 1.4*

### 4/5 — Impressed

*2025-10-20, version 1.4*

The interface is stunning and minimalist. I love how easily this app works. However, it would be much better with and iPad and Apple Watch version.
Hoping that becomes a reality🤞🏻

### 3/5 — Poderia ter tradução para pt-br

*2025-10-20, version 1.4*

### 2/5 — Has potential but needs serious work

*2025-09-20, version 1.4*

I purchased the annual subscription hoping this would be a solid planning app, but unfortunately it falls short in several key areas.

I’ve encountered significant battery drain that’s noticeably worse than other apps. The app feels incomplete with some features that seem half-finished.

What’s most concerning is the lack of ongoing development. The app hasn’t received any updates in over 4 months, which suggests the developer may not be actively addressing these issues. For an annual subscription, I expected regular improvements and bug fixes.

The core concept has merit, which is why I’m not giving it 1 star. However, I can’t recommend purchasing the annual subscription until these fundamental issues are addressed and there’s evidence of active development.

### 2/5 — Fix App Icons

*2025-09-15*

Please let us choose a new icon. It’s broken, even if we’re have the pro license. Also, make one that changes for light and dark modes.

### 3/5 — Not Scaled properly on smaller phones

*2025-09-10*

The app is too scaled up, there’s too much wasted space and the spacing and fonts are too big on default text size setting. On my iPhone 16e the “M” in PM wraps to a 2nd line when clicking on event. Looks like it was made for a pro max and not tested elsewhere

### 3/5 — Nice Concept, lack of UX

*2025-09-08, version 1.4*

I like the animations, the design, all the bells and whistles. But the app is unfortunately lacking on UX. It feels like a concept car, nice to look at but doesn’t drive. When adding events you need to tap through several sheets and use sliders to set time, you can only display one day at a time on a list view without proper timeline. For the features, the app is overpriced and standard calendar app offers better features.

### 2/5 — Would have been great, but can't reorder habits

*2025-08-23, version 1.4*

The app has a lovely, clean cut look and it's easy to use. The only downside is that you can't rearrange the order of the habits. I tried emailing the team but had no luck, as well as messaging via social media. There's no videos or tips on YouTube for this either. Nowi to ish I wouldn't have paid for the subs

### 3/5 — Manque des fonctions

*2025-08-22, version 1.4*

L’app est bien pensée avec un très beau design mais il manque des fonctions d’éditions aux événements (il n’y a que la répétition pour le moment)…

### 3/5 — So close

*2025-08-09, version 1.4*

When I tell you I wanted to love this app SO MUCH. The features it has are great, and for my purposes it works very well without having to spend any money. BUT the repeat feature doesn’t apply to tasks, which is definitely necessary (it also does not have an “every other week” option in the custom section which is very frustrating. There’s also no option as far as I can tell to add sub tasks, which I always find incredibly useful. Again, the features that work are amazing, and the app itself is very visually appealing, but it’s missing things. If these issues are resolved then I will definitely redownload!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Buggy abandonware

*2026-07-09*

UPDATE TO 1 STAR BECAUSE IT’S ABANDONED
The app is nicely designed, but unfortunately is incredibly buggy: notifications are a mess (you either get none, or 3 in a row), widgets are useless, the app froze on me several times when I was editing something. Last update was 6 months ago. Developers don’t respond to bug report emails and I regret paying money, what a waste of

### 1/5 — No update for iOS 26 compatibility

*2025-10-09, version 1.4*

Why No updates for iOS 26 compatibility !??

### 1/5 — Too greedy

*2025-10-01*

This developer is asking for way too much money out of the gate. You need to prove your worth by getting many users and many reviews before you can charge $10 a month. You have less than 200 reviews. Way bigger apps are charging less. Prove your worth to your audience for free until a certain number of users and proof through more reviews and then start incrementally charging reasonable fees.

### 1/5 — російське

*2025-09-22, version 1.4*

спонсори смерті

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2025-08-04*

Subscription is too high as compared to other app and not provide normal features which other apps provides free

### 1/5 — up/down slider for habits

*2025-07-20*

Prioritising habit is hassle in this app, like if i need to add an habit after waking up, lets say i drink coffee first plance after waking up and i have added 10 more habits, now i decided to drink warm water after waking up, then i go for a jog and then i drink coffee. The next two habbit will show at last in the list, and there is no way i can prioritise them at 1st place, i have to delete all 10 habit and rewrite them in order. So much waste of time. MAKE THIS A PRIORITY AND ADD THE MOVABLE SLIDERS FO HABITS AND TASKS ASAP. Will come back and give 5 star immediately after the update.

### 1/5 — Beautiful but flawed

*2025-03-28, version 1.3*

This app is beautiful to look at. However, it’s not optimized at all. 3 mins of on screen time uses 7% battery. To add insult to injury, the support team is poor, ignoring messages until you post a comment on their public facing social media accounts.

### 1/5 — !!! Beware !!!

*2025-03-25*

They advertised this app in the pro version as limited free lifetime available yesterday. However, turned out after accessing my personal data and calendar that there’s no free lifetime and they wanted me agree to make an annual subscription instead! So be careful what you‘re clicking in the app and make sure you have screenshots for any disputes!

### 1/5 — 🤮

*2025-03-25, version 1.3*

🤮

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice 2.0 update

*2025-12-14*

Appreciate the new drag and drop abilities and iCloud sync. One of the best daily planners for simplicity with a pleasing clean UI.

Suggestions for future updates:
- Daylight tracking (Apple Health)
- More recurring options for habits — every x days, etc.
- Reminder and Event notes displayed / can be edited
- Checkbox colors to reflect the color of the Reminder list or event calendar
- Habit categories, groups or tags with a filter option on the home page
- Daily notes feature that sits at the top of day view for adding a note/jounral to any day
- Additional colorful app icon choices (yellow, orange, green, etc.)

Look forward to how the app evolves.

### 5/5 — Very Organized

*2025-11-12*

I personally love Joi Planner because it keeps me organized and reminds me to do daily task, events (for special days), and it’s very
customizable.

### 5/5 — I really like the application

*2025-10-04, version 1.4*

Still some problems updating the widget, iCloud backup is missing and there is an update every 4 months maybe the developer is alone and I look forward to the Mac application , And I would like a black oled theme 😃

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-10-01, version 1.4*

.

### 5/5 — Parfait pour s’organiser

*2025-09-12, version 1.4*

### 5/5 — The Perfect App

*2025-08-15, version 1.4*

The first app that really makes me more productive and less distracted

### 5/5 — Useful, beautiful, stylish

*2025-07-31, version 1.4*

Its sleek interface cuts through digital noise with surgical precision, showing exactly what you need, nothing more.

Tasks, events, notes flow together like clockwork. Day, week, month—each slides into the next with mechanical grace.

Here is simplicity and functionality in perfect marriage, no compromises, no excess fat.

Bravo!

### 5/5 — Light version

*2025-06-28, version 1.4*

I love the design of the app. Could you please add a light version to the widget?

### 5/5 — Simple and clean, great minimalist design

*2025-06-04*

I downloaded this app and immediately loved it! The minimalist design is exactly what I was looking for, and it’s very easy to use. I’ll definitely keep using it as part of my daily routine. That said, the yearly subscription feels a bit pricey, especially since iCloud backup isn’t included yet. Also, some basic features like the ability to delete or reset the account are still missing. I’m excited to see how this app improves over time and hope it gains the popularity it deserves!

### 5/5 — Potential

*2025-05-22, version 1.4*

The app has potential. I wish the end time would be shown on the calendar too. Maybe look at how Structured does it. If there will be more updates, i will switch from Structured. Keep going!
