## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Just terrible

*2024-04-08, version 3.8.8*

This app is terrible. It can’t confirm any of my cards even after I have approved them with the bank. It’s taken 45 minutes now and I’m still waiting to be able to charge the car. I would just avoid this at all costs

### 1/5 — App & the company behind are DREADFUL

*2023-07-06, version 3.8.6*

The app is a complete mess. It never works. It doesn’t save log in details and it’s impossible to reset. It is so bad it’s difficult to list it’s faults. The charger stations are marked with barcodes that are not recognised by the app. Since all the chargers in our city are contracted to these clowns we can’t use them.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2023-05-04, version 3.8.2*

Tried to use it for the 1st time, never again. The app never worked, wouldn’t accept any card for payment, took over 2 hours to get the thing to work. After 3 hours of charging the app wouldn’t end the session so my lead was locked into the car and charger, tried to speak to Joju on the number they provide on the Charing post, got a voice message to say leave your details we will call you back, over 24 hrs later I’m still waiting for that call. I had to delete the app so I could unplug the lead. I missed a very important appointment because of this operation. If I could give minus stars I would, avoid at all costs

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work…. Again

*2023-04-28, version 3.7.0*

The power post seems to work, just the app isn’t processing payments.

The phone number on the app is wrong as well, so no help there.

### 1/5 — Rubbish app and service

*2023-02-19, version 3.6.5.1*

App loads charge points but then won’t connect, states car not plugged in. Goes round and round in circles. The infrastructure is terrible too, charges stop before they are complete for no reason. Absolutely awful and can really screw you over if you leave it charging to get up and go somewhere cos low and behold it’s only done a 5% charge and given up. Avoid avoid avoid

### 1/5 — Charging reliable but app isn’t

*2022-10-02, version 3.6.5*

Charging with Joju has been reliable in my area but app is definitely not fit for purpose

### 1/5 — Don’t Bother Trying It

*2022-09-16, version 3.6.5*

Started off reasonably well, but updates are amazing bad and you end up deleting the app - doesn’t appear they actual test the updates or is someone having a laugh at the users’ expense?

### 1/5 — Not there yet

*2022-07-20, version 3.6.2*

So another update, can now see the chargers in my area. However you cannot login or use the guest charging. Come on do you really not test.

### 1/5 — Didn’t work, support poor

*2022-06-05, version 3.2.0*

App opens and identifies the charging point based on proximity. Selected the point and…nothing happened. No charge, ev showing not connected. Called support who said the car was connected. Several reboots later, no charge and my ev showing still not connected. Support said they would escalate and call me back. They didn’t, of course. Went elsewhere that just works.

### 1/5 — Not so good at all

*2021-09-03, version 3.0.1*

The app loaded and I set up the charge, but the actual kerbside charger failed after about 10 minutes. It didn’t notify me, only thing showing was a greyed out charge point. I couldn’t get it to restart so had to find alternative charging solution. Poor all around. Typical of anything commissioned by a local council.

## Most praised reviews (1 highest-rated)

### 2/5 — Unreliable app and charge network

*2022-07-20, version 3.6.2*

Living in a city where few people have off street parking, EV owners like myself, rely on JoJu street based chargers to charge our EVs. My car is also my business and it needs an overnight charge most nights.

However, the JoJu chargers are unreliable. The two nearest my home give up mid charge and are out of service for weeks. They’re fixed and a few days later fail again.

The app is clunky. Once you get your bank card details stored it is reasonably easy to start a charge. But, as I write this review the iPhone app was updated a week ago and doesn’t work. It shows no chargers on the map and trying to start a charge with the charger QR code didn’t work. It logged my account out and I can no longer log back in. JoJu support confirmed the update doesn’t work.

It’s great having these street chargers in urban environments but if they’re unreliable with a non functioning app they’re not fit for purpose.
