## What is Joke of the Day Widget?

Those Widgets are compatible with the new iOS 14 Home Screen Widgets.

Thanks to this application (and the other Widget apps from PacoLabs), you can now customize the Today view of your device, by adding custom widgets for some specific purposes.
From anywhere in your device, with a simple top to bottom swipe, you'll have access to your own information and actions.

Each Joke of the Day widget allows to read one joke everyday.
Have a good time and have your daily dose of laugh.
The widget connects to some dedicated web sites providing daily RSS content with some jokes.
Some web sites are already saved and organized in the application, but you can also add your favorite web site.
The text can be displayed in different ways (like the size, the font, the color, the alignment).
Touching the joke will allow you to view the source web page.

The application is really easy to use and is adapted to the fresh look of your device.
Dark mode of iOS13 is supported.
You can add as many widgets as you want and they will be displayed in up to 3 different lists. Those same lists will be available in the Today view and in the application (although it is possible, if you want, to hide some widgets in the Today view).
To avoid overloading the Today view, when too many widgets are displayed, an intuitive control will allow you to navigate from one widget to another.
Even if the main purpose of the app is to view the widgets in the Today view, it can also be very handy to view them directly in the application (a long press on a widget in the Today view will open it directly in the main application).

I don’t know how to use widgets and the instructions are very vague. I would delete a page and it kept coming up again. Not for me!

The font color and background color are hard to tell apart making it very hard to read. No easy way to set font and background color if the main area

**Developer response:** Hi,
You can fully customise the colors of all the elements (title/author/content/background).
In the app, long press on the joke to edit it.
Then, unselect the automatic colors option, set to ON by default.
You'll then be able to set all the colors.

Note: Once in the color selection screen of your element, if you want vivid colors, be sure to move the top hue slider (at the top) the left, and the alpha slider (at the bottom) to the right. You can also enter a precise color value by using the menu in the top right part of the screen.
