Restarting the app, reinstalling the app, and even restarting the iPad doesn’t help ### 3/5 — Great idea, poor implementation *2022-07-10* This app has great ideas, but there are too many glitches. On the American English sounds, letter sounds with two letters are not working during the blending activities, finger tracing has multiple issues on the print side. If the app was updated to fix these issues it would be a 5 star app, as it is, you need additional resources to teach the letter sounds and formation. Very frustrating bug that was promised to be fixed in an October release - still an issue. I think not). There is one super annoying problem - the app freezes for a good 3-4 seconds if we repeatedly play phonic sound of same alphabet. Please fix and send updates on this app ### 4/5 — Great program *2021-02-02, version 4.0.2* Hi. I really like the program and been a fan since they had Jolly phonics extra with the talking pen. I think it the best phonics learning app now. You can choose whether you want British accent or American accent and that pursed the full program. Anyway, I found a few things that I think it might help the team. First is many time I tap to see flashcards and the program stop working and I have to restart the program. And one more thing,I know this program is for young kids but I really hope that we can choose different speeds to listen to. That would be great for foreign adults who want to learnEnglish too. Thank you. ### 2/5 — Updated but still has many confusing errors and limited words *2020-10-21* Strange errors, for example the sound clip for “ee” in “coffee” is the same as “e” in egg, which makes no sense. It has “cheec” as a word, with a hard “k” sound for the “c” (presumably it means “cheek”?). The whole “ng” section has no audible soft “g” sound which makes words such as “ring” or “sing” impossible to teach. These words end in a soft “g” sound. For a paid app there are still far too few words which makes using it as a teaching tool quite limited. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Paid $49, no included content *2025-10-25* I paid for this pro version and it doesn't include the materials, you have to sign up anyway and pay using the in app store. Just use the free one it sea to be identical. Can't even get a refund. **Developer response:** Thanks for letting us know, that definitely shouldn’t happen. Our Pro version should include full access to the materials without any extra in-app purchases. It was working well at first but yesterday I noticed the app was silent but thought the device had its volume tuned down. Upon investigation it’s not our device. The app just has no sound coming out. £9.99 is a lot for an app that is not working. STILL NOT WORKING RIGHT.
