### 4/5 — Really Good

*2026-08-05*

I just did the premium subscription and I can already tell it is going to be well worth the money. I do wish there was a way to do an unscheduled session. Like if something lands in front of you that you need to focus on you can just start a session that lasts an hour or two without having to create a recurring schedule.

**Developer response:** Hi! Thank you so much for subscribing to Premium-we're really glad to hear you're enjoying the app already! 😊

Good news: we actually have exactly this feature! It's called Focus Session You can find it in the bottom-right corner of the home screen. It lets you start a one-time focus session for as long as you need, without creating a recurring schedule.

If you need any other help or have any questions, feel free to email us at git@thejoltapp.com. We're always happy to help!

### 4/5 — Money

*2026-06-30, version 1.5.3*

I don’t wanna pay

### 4/5 — Ücretsiz olsa çok iyi olurdu

*2026-06-19, version 1.5.3*

ücretsiz olsa birde türkçe seçeneği olsa o kadar iyi uygulama ki

### 2/5 — Not really worth it

*2026-06-03, version 1.5.1*

There’s a couple bugs that really makes it annoying (randonly), suspicious that this is prob AI generated app, tbh not much more
Useful than the built in screen time

### 3/5 — Too many changes

*2026-04-12, version 1.4.1*

I only downloaded this a couple months ago and they've already changed the way multiple things function. I cannot select specific times for weekends and weekdays anymore.

### 2/5 — Full of bugs

*2026-03-18, version 1.3.6*

Lots of excellent features but none of them seem to work properly

### 4/5 — Almost there, needs some fixes

*2026-03-02*

I’ve been using this app for about 2 weeks now and there are real benefits and it feels good to be finally working on my phone addiction. The gamification of it all helps and the trackers are easy to understand. Some of the bugs however are unbearable. 1. When checking an app on a break, it takes you into jolt to set up how long the break is. However there are times where it will just freeze my phone and crash. This is the biggest issue
2. Data does not update until I click in, so my focus score will say 100% and then I check and all of a sudden it’s down to 80%. Not that big of a deal, minor inconvenience.
Overall, this app is extremely useful and the pro version is most certainly worth it.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your thoughtful review. We're so glad Jolt is helping you reduce phone use - that's exactly why we built it.

We're sorry about the freezing/crashing issue when starting a break. We'd love to investigate and fix it as quickly as possible.

Please email us at git@thejoltapp.com with your Jolt username so we can look into your account and resolve the issue.

### 4/5 — Seems pretty good

*2026-02-22*

First time using jolt and most of its features are free! This is the first screen time app I’ve found that doesn’t ask for money. The app has lots of abilities too! (No this isn’t a bot/payed review) Jolt is genuinely a good app.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind and genuine feedback!

We’re really glad your first experience with Jolt has been a great one, and that you’re enjoying the free features. It means a lot to us

We’re working hard to keep improving, and we’re excited to share that 2 new features are coming next week. Stay tuned! 🚀

### 5/5 — Meaningful Change in My Routine

*2026-02-18*

I’ve genuinely becọme more aware of my daily screen use. It feels like I finally have control instead of my phone controlling me.

### 5/5 — Really Useful App

*2026-02-17, version 1.3.2*

Happy with how well it works.

### 5/5 — Less Distraction

*2026-02-16*

I’ve reduced my unnecessary screen time a lot.

### 5/5 — Keeps Me Accountable

### 5/5 — Noticeable Difference

*2026-02-13*

Since using Jolt, I’m definitely spending less time stuck on my phone and more time doing meaningful things.

### 5/5 — The best app to help you escape doomscrolling

*2026-02-08, version 1.3.2*

The thing that I like the most about it is that this app offers what you really need for free and it really helps.

### 1/5 — App WAS great

*2026-06-19*

Hard Mode used to be free. Now it’s locked behind a paywall. Unfortunately, I will be uninstalling, as this completely defeats the purpose of the sessions. If you are struggling to focus, a few quick games aren’t going to stop you from accessing a problem app.

Let me know when you fix this.

**Developer response:** This is fair feedback and we appreciate you saying it directly.

Hard Mode did move to Pro in this version - and you're right that it used to be free. It's the deepest level of blocking we offer, and keeping it reliable across iOS updates takes real investment.

On Friction Games - they are designed around behavioural science, specifically the gap between impulse and action. They work differently from Hard Mode, not instead of it. Hard Mode is for people who know they'll find a way around everything else. We're building more science-backed friction options with that same user in mind.

We'd genuinely like you to stay. Reach out to us at hello@thejoltapp.com, and we'll make it right. And if Hard Mode returning to free is something enough users need, that's a conversation worth having internally.

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2026-04-19, version 1.4.2*

The new update offers hardly any functionality on the free version; just two apps blockable at a time.

### 1/5 — Good features but buggy

*2026-03-21, version 1.3.6*

Really like the session feature and the way Jolt makes you pause and think before overriding a screen time limit. Plus the free version is useable, unlike a lot of other apps! However the bug other users mentioned where Jolt blocks apps even if you haven’t spent any time on them all day is really frustrating and unfortunately wasn’t patched in the latest update

### 1/5 — Crashtastic

*2026-03-16, version 1.3.6*

Doesn’t get past launch screen

### 1/5 — App crash

*2026-03-12, version 1.3.5*

When ai open the app the logo comes and then the app crashes

### 1/5 — Bugged and now a fee? lol

*2026-02-19, version 1.3.3*

Reported a bug that never got resolved. Came to see if it was fixed after 2 months and now app has a cost. This app definitely does not need to be a paid service.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2026-01-27, version 1.3.1*

The time for the duration limit doesn’t stop you until its way past also tons of pop ups

### 1/5 — Unfinished

*2026-01-24*

Good but too many offers and way too buggy

### 1/5 — Not good

*2026-01-23, version 1.3.1*

It was a horrible experience to deal with the amount of bugs in this app, don’t recommend using it at all

### 1/5 — Cant unlock apps

*2025-11-12*

The time should reset every morning or whenever.
Once I try to unlock an app, I breathe and then go to the app and it will not unlock, it just gets stuck in a loop. Then the app doesn’t show as a choice.
Lots of glitches, get back to me when it’s cleaned up.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re really sorry to hear about the issues you faced with the unlock flow and the app getting stuck that’s definitely not the experience we want for anyone using Jolt. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and it helps us understand exactly where things feel frustrating on your end.

Since your review, we’ve been working hard on improving stability, fixing the looping issue during the breathing step, and ensuring apps consistently appear as unlock options. These updates are rolling out with the latest builds, and we hope they’ll make your experience much smoother.

We’d truly appreciate the chance to make this right. If you’re open to it, we’d love for you to give Jolt another try. And as a thank-you for helping us improve, we’d be happy to offer you a premium membership just email us at hello@thejoltapp.com
from your registered address, and we’ll take care of the rest.

### 5/5 — Simple, elegant, and effective!

*2026-06-01, version 1.5.1*

New user of the app! Recently installed! What I really like - elegant and smooth interface. Easy to understand and set up. I had set up a few blocks for the apps which I was using mindlessly. Different levels of modes to choose from. Will give a detailed review after one week of use. Overall great experience so far!

### 5/5 — Actually helpful

*2026-04-20*

Just the right amount of friction to add, and to direct attention towards goals of the greater self.

### 5/5 — A Smarter Way to Live Beyond Screens

*2026-04-04, version 1.4*

This app has genuinely helped me reduce my screen time and build healthier digital habits. The experience feels smooth and intuitive, with a clean design that makes it easy to use every day.

What I love most is the insightful dashboard—it clearly shows usage patterns and helps me stay mindful without feeling overwhelming. The reminders are subtle but effective, making a real difference over time.

### 5/5 — Wow.

Actually usefull and personalized

### 5/5 — Best App Ever

*2026-03-31*

This app made me quit spending too much time on social media and useless apps and it‘s totally free so if you want to spend less time on your phone and your broke then get this app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing this it’s great to hear the app is helping you cut down on social media and stay more intentional with your time. Making it accessible and effective for everyone is exactly what we’re aiming for.

### 5/5 — Best app

*2026-03-27, version 1.3.6*

I would like to say that if this app can reduce the screen time and distractions of a person like me then it can do the same for anyone. Blessed to use such app and it’s my request to the creator that please do not make everything premium in future. All the features which are available for free are more than enough to end the social media loop and don’t make them paid never ever in future. Highly recommend for the users who want their growth but stuck in the same loop of social media everyday.

### 5/5 — Couldn’t recommend more

*2026-03-10, version 1.3.5*

Gives you lots of options how to cut down screen time, motivates you more than any other screen time app, but what really sets it apart is how it actually suggests things you can do outside of scrolling

### 5/5 — Smart Blocking

*2026-02-20*

The blocking is smooth and dependable, which makes it easier to stick to healthier routines.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for using Jolt. We appreciate that you liked it.

### 5/5 — Great Insights

*2026-02-19*

The insights actually help me understand my habits instead of just showing numbers.
