Ich nutze zum Beispiel das ich alle 2h 10min freischalten kann. Wie so oft bei solchen Apps, als erwachsener Besitzer mit allen Rechten, kann ich leider den Zugriff von Jomo auf Bildschirmzeit bei Bedarf einfach verbieten. 5% wenn das auch noch eingeschränkt oder zumindest erschwert werden könnte. The app instructs users to purchase the Lifetime plan first and then request a refund from Apple for the annual subscription. I followed those instructions exactly, but Apple denied my refund request. As a result, I ended up paying for both an Annual subscription and a Lifetime subscription. If this upgrade path depends on Apple approving refunds, it’s not a reliable system. Jomo should redesign the upgrade process so customers aren’t put in this situation. For example, they could offer the Lifetime purchase through their website, provide a prorated upgrade, or use another method that doesn’t rely on Apple’s refund process. I still think the app is great, but the upgrade experience left me frustrated. I hope the developers improve this so future customers don’t end up paying twice. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! We know that upgrading from a subscription to a lifetime plan isn’t a one-click process, so we do our best to clearly explain the different steps involved. We also emphasize that the most important step is to cancel your existing subscription so that it doesn’t renew. Whether you receive a refund for your subscription depends on several factors and isn’t guaranteed. For example, if you’re already 10 months into an annual subscription, a refund may be difficult to justify. By the way, you can also purchase Jomo Plus (including the lifetime plan!) through our website. I use Cold Turkey Pro on my Mac. I’ve tried Opal, Screenzen, and the replica apps. Jomo is by far the best. The UI/UX is beautiful and easy to use. They have the best features. In a nutshell: the whole point of this app that makes it work so well is we as individuals can’t easily fight against a bunch of wealthy companies’ algorithms designed to grab and hold our attention. Willpower didn’t stop my phone addiction; I needed external support. This app does it almost perfectly. The way they’ve designed options on how to block your apps & schedules is very intuitive. It just makes sense and is a joy to use. There’s freemium where the power features are paid, then there’s this where 99% of features are paid, the free tier does basically nothing. Unfortunately, certain apps, including distractions like messaging and Spotify , are never blocked, no matter what settings I use. I’ve gone through their entire trouble shooting process. It didn’t help. I reached out to tech support. Didn’t hear back. The design for setting up blocks also works poorly. You can pick apps from pre set categories that don’t really make sense (my work dual authentication is under banking) and then Jomo tells you how many you’ve picked total to allow, but there’s no way to see the a list of what you’ve selected so you can review it and make sure it’s what you wanted. You have to click through category by category and check them individually, which would be annoying even if the categories made sense. The way they use websites makes the ability to block “everything but” nonfunctional. You can only pick everything OR up to 50 apps you want blocked. That would be fine, but at least 100 random websites are listed as “apps.”Many are sites I’ve absolutely never used or don’t recognize. I’ve even deleted my browser history but they’re all still in there. If I try to select “block all” and then deselect just maps, so I have access to nothing but maps, I’m over the limit of 50 apps to block because each random website is counted as an individual app. You can opt to allow all web browsing, in case you’re easily distracted by your phone, but having the entire internet at your fingertips is somehow not an issue? But you can’t opt to block all websites. It’s a really wonky design that destroys the functionality since choosing what to exclude doesn’t work consistently. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Lebensverändernd *2026-08-24* Jomo hat mir die Souveränität über meine Online-Nutzung wiedergegeben. The 'strict mode' is the closest thing you can get to having all the apps you want 'disappear' completely and be completely accessible during certain hours of your choosing, with no option to delete or re-download them or delete this app alongside them. I have been using it for less than a week and I have already seen a radical improvement in my screen time.
