## What is JOSH?

Most fitness apps make you choose: a calorie counter, a lifting log, a running app, a recovery band. JOSH is all of it in one app, and it gets smarter the more you use it.

ONE COACH FOR YOUR WHOLE DAY
Every morning Josh's take reads your sleep, HRV, resting heart rate and training load from Apple Health and sets the day: train as planned, go lighter, or fuel up for a big session. Apply its changes in one tap and undo them just as fast. Every call shows why, with the research behind it.

EAT TO YOUR BURN
Your Apple Watch already knows what you burned. JOSH turns it into today's calorie window and shows it on one ring: what you've eaten, what you've burned and exactly what's left. No static number that ignores leg day.

JUST SAY WHAT YOU ATE
Type "chicken rice bowl and a latte" and it's logged with calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sugar and sodium. Snap your plate or a nutrition label, or scan a barcode. Log to any day, at any time.

KNOW WHAT TO LIFT
Save your own workouts or import one from a screenshot, PDF or text. Every set shows what you did last time and the weight and reps to beat today. The rest timer follows you to the Lock Screen, PRs are called the second they happen, and a muscle map shows what you trained and what's recovered. Pounds or kilograms.

RUN, WALK, HIKE, RIDE
GPS tracking with a live map, pace, splits and voice cues that keep going with the screen locked. Auto-pause, hold to finish, and every run saves to Apple Health with its route. Replay any run, see every route you've done on one map, and chase records and streaks.

RACE YOUR PAST SELF
Start a route you've run before and race your ghost live, with the gap on screen and in your ear.

5K TO MARATHON
Pick a race and a date. JOSH builds a plan from your own fitness, adjusts paces for the heat on the day, and updates it every Monday from what you actually ran. After race day, recovery is built in.

ON YOUR WRIST
The JOSH Apple Watch app starts lifts, runs, walks and rides, shows heart rate and calories live, and logs sets with the Digital Crown straight into your iPhone workout. Start a lift on your iPhone and it starts on your watch too.

CALORIES THAT ADJUST THEMSELVES
Answer a few questions and see your plan. Pick a goal: lean bulk, bulk, recomp, fat loss or maintain. JOSH builds your targets from your body and your burn, checks your real weight trend every week and adjusts them for you. Track body scans for lean mass and fat mass over time.

TRAIN WITH YOUR CREW
Add friends, share only what you choose, and race each other in weekly challenges for miles, volume, workouts or burn. Climb weekly and all-time leaderboards, and share any run or lift as an Instagram Story with over 25 designs.

YOUR COACH, BUILT IN
Working with a coach? Join with their code. They set your targets, send your program, reply to weekly check-ins and message you, all inside JOSH. Coaches see every client's sets, PRs and food in one place.

ALSO
iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Live Activities, VoiceOver support, data export and import, and Sign in with Apple.

JOSH PRO
JOSH is a subscription app. Log a meal with Josh and see your plan before you sign up, then start JOSH Pro with a free trial if eligible: 7 days on the yearly plan ($99.99 per year after) or 3 days on the monthly plan ($14.99 per month after). Payment is charged to your Apple ID when the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store account settings.

### 1/5 — Overpriced. No free plan👎🏼

*2026-11-03*

There’s only one week trial, and then you have to pay a lot of money to use the basic things…. For a year $99 I better use Bevel tbh. I really don’t understand all these. They’re trying to sell us a basic fitness tracker app while Apple Health can do the same!!! are you guys serious? Why don’t you sell the subscription for a year for $20 can you have way more clients…. But for a price you asking for, nuh I don’t need it. And I guess there’s a lot of people who think the same

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback. JOSH is not a basic tracker, and it does a lot Apple Health and most fitness apps don't:

- Log a whole meal by just typing it or snapping a photo, and JOSH works out the calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sugar and sodium for you.
- Snap a photo of your body composition scan (InBody, Starfit and similar) and JOSH reads it: weight, body fat and lean mass, tracked over time. It uses your scans and weigh-ins to check your progress every week and adjusts your calorie and macro targets when your body isn't moving the way your goal needs.
- A daily AI coach reads your sleep, HRV, resting heart rate and training each morning and tells you how hard to push and what to eat that day.
- Sleep and readiness scores built the same way Apple Watch builds them, right on your home screen.
- Workouts built for you, live set logging with rest timers, PRs and what to lift next time.
- Work with a real coach in the same app: they see your food, training and check-ins and can set your plan and message you.
- Crew challenges with friends, barcode scanning, water tracking and an Apple Watch app.

Apple Health stores your data. JOSH tells you what to do with it. The yearly plan works out to about $8 a month, less than one meal out, and the 7-day trial is there so you can see if it's worth it before paying anything. If you give it another shot, reply here or email itunesdeveloper@gmail.com and we'll help you get the most out of it.

### 5/5 — Super Neat

*2026-11-03*

It’s really neat. You pretty much have everything you need with this modern elegant design. Makes workouts pretty nice to manage.

### 5/5 — Perfect for Gym Rats

*2026-11-01*

Cannot recommend enough to anyone lifting. The social aspect is absolutely nuts too

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-11-01*

Absolutely love it, these guys actually have everything in one fitness app, tracking lifts, runs, cycling and the Ai coach recommendations are insane. I didn’t realize that I was unintentionally eating in a deficit wondering why I wasn’t increasing muscle mass.

### 5/5 — This app makes working with clients a breeze!

*2026-10-30*

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Makes coaching so much easier!

Josh has made working with my clients such a breeze. Having meal plans, workouts, and check-ins all in one place helps me stay organized and makes everything easy for my clients to follow. The app is user-friendly and simple to navigate, which means more time focusing on my clients and their progress. Highly recommend it to other coaches!

### 5/5 — Best app for fitness

*2026-10-27*

Overall has everything I need. No need to be switching between apps now it’s all in one.

### 5/5 — The last calorie tracker I'll download

*2026-10-25*

I've tried just about every calorie tracker out there, and Josh Pro blows them all out of the water. What sets it apart is how personal it feels. It doesn't just log numbers, it actually adapts to me and my goals, so it's like having a personal trainer in my pocket 24/7. My favorite feature is that I can set when I plan to work out, and it tells me exactly what to eat before and after. No more guessing on pre-workout fuel or recovery. If you've bounced between trackers like I have, give this one a shot.

### 5/5 — Great fitness app

*2026-10-25*

Found it easy to use and helpful to track my progress

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.5 — 2026-11-05

Your night, right on Today
HRV and your sleep score now sit under the ring every morning. Tap either one for the full Sleep and recovery view.

A smoother tour
The app tour is rebuilt to glide from page to page, and new members now see it before choosing a plan.

Fixed: + then Workout
Starting a workout from the + button now opens it every time.

Faster and smoother everywhere
Live workouts, logging sets and switching tabs are much lighter, and Josh answers faster.

Also
Numbers now match everywhere you see them, a cleaner logged banner and food log on small phones, barcode scans go to the meal you picked, and lots of small fixes across Fuel, Train, Coaching and Crew.

### 2.0.3 — 2026-11-04

A cleaner, faster food log
Josh now answers about three times faster. The typing bar is one clean card with your camera, barcode, My foods and Water, and a "To Lunch" button shows where your food will go before you send it. Tap it to pick another meal.

Logged, clearly
Every log now shows a "Logged to Lunch" banner with Undo, and the new food lights up in its meal.

My foods, easier to pick
Recent, Saved meals and My foods each have their own tab. Every meal shows its full name, what's in it, and calories with protein, carbs and fat lined up so it's easy to read.

Water in one swipe
Tap Water and slide from 8 oz to a gallon, or 250 ml to 4 L if you use kg.

A new tour
Eight quick steps through the app on real screens. Skip it any time, or replay it from Settings.

Crew at the top
A Crew button sits next to your profile on every tab, with a dot when a challenge invite is waiting.

Sleep and readiness, closer to Apple Watch
Your sleep score now uses the same parts Apple does (duration, bedtime and wake-ups) and the same bands. Readiness compares your HRV, resting heart rate and sleep with your own typical range, like the Vitals app.

Also
Cleaner meal boxes, faster launch and tab switching, and lots of small fixes.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-11-03

JOSH 2.0 is a full redesign around one idea: everything you need, nothing in your way. Nothing was taken out. Every feature now has one clear home.

Four tabs and one button
Today, Fuel, Train and You, with a + in the middle. No more tabs inside tabs. Pull down on any tab to show search.

Today, at a glance
Your ring, bigger and sharper, with what you ate, burned and your protein. One Up next card with your workout and one Start, and once you've trained, a clean summary of the session with your PRs. Josh's take (the old Daily Coach) is one line you can apply in a tap. All six macros: protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sugar and sodium.

Fuel, easier to read
One box at the top: what's left today, then three bars for your goal, your burn and what you've eaten, then all six macros with your ranges. Below it, Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Dinner each sit in their own box with calories and macros. Quick add and a one-tap Water button sit right above the message box, and questions to Josh read like a chat.

Snap your plate
Snap a meal and watch Josh read it: each food gets a box and its calories, then your totals count up.

Train on one page
Lifting and cardio together: your next session up top with one Start, one tap to a lift, a run, any other cardio or your plans, this week's lifts and runs side by side, and your recent sessions.

One + that logs anything
"183.4" logs a weigh-in, "squat 225 x 5" logs a lift, "ran 3 miles in 28 min" logs a run, anything else is food. Snap, Scan, Water, Weigh-in and Cardio are one tap away.

A quieter live workout
Only the exercise you're on is open, with one line on what to try today. One tap logs the set, rest sits in a dock at the bottom, and PRs land in gold.

Coaching
Coaches now see each client's sessions, sets, reps and PRs, and their food log day by day with all six macros. Clients see their coach's program first in Up next and This week, and their coach's meal plan right in Fuel, ready to log in one tap.

Apple Watch
One big thing at a time: the workout in progress or the one up next. Large type, and rest fills the whole screen.

Also
Smoother motion everywhere, frosted bars, clearer names, and lots of fixes, including the "As logged" portion answer.

- Estimates you can trust: guessed portions show Half, As logged and Double, and JOSH remembers your usual portions
- JOSH asks about hidden oil, dressing and sauce on photos

- Coaches can cover their clients' JOSH Pro, including clients on Android through the web app

- Sign up goes straight in. Verify your email any time from Settings
- Delete your own messages in coach chats
