They only want you to login in built in browser or give your api key ad how wont let you use chrome and callback so this is useless especially if you use 1password — completely worthless - also very slow

**Developer response:** Thanks for the detail. The built-in browser is the whole point of that feature (the chatbot sits next to your notes), and a session created in Chrome can't be carried back into it — so "just use Chrome" isn't something I can build. What I can do is fix whatever actually broke for you.

Two questions, if you're willing: which service were you signing into, and how — password, Google sign-in, or a passkey / security key? Passkeys and hardware keys don't work inside an embedded browser anywhere, and if that's what stopped you I'd rather tell you straight than leave you guessing. One thing worth knowing: your purchase carries over permanently. Update to the current version and everything the app has gained since 1.0.3 stays unlocked for you at no extra cost — including the AI features (they run on your own provider key). 

A lot of performance work landed in that time as well, so the "slow" part should look different now.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Jotaid earned it.

A note is useful only when it's connected to other notes. A note app is effective only when it can connect all my notes for me. That’s exactly what Jotaid does.

I’ve tried most note apps. They’re fine for storing things, but my notes never talk to each other. With Jotaid, I hit a hotkey, dump a thought, and move on. Tweets, PDF snippets, AI chats — they all land in one inbox.

It breaks notes into smaller concept nodes, and shows the link. The AI suggests connections but doesn’t write my conclusions for me. That’s the part I trust.

Mac and iOS apps are solid. iCloud sync, keyboard shortcuts, local data, own API key. Free to start. If your notes feel like a graveyard, try it. Five stars.
