## What is Jotine?

Just One Thing into a Routine.

Paste a YouTube link, or describe a routine in your own words. Jotine turns it into step-by-step you can follow, with reminders that fire at the right moment. No streaks. No guilt. Just the routine.
  — The internet is full of advice you'll never run.

You watch a 12-minute video about a meditation practice, save it to a folder, and forget. You read a stretching routine in a thread, swear you'll start Monday, and don't. The advice was good. The translation from "I should" to "I did" never happened.
Jotine does the translation.

  — Two ways in —
Paste a YouTube link. Jotine pulls the transcript and turns it into a structured routine: discrete steps, with timing, on a schedule. You see the steps before you commit to anything. Edit names, times days. Set a start time. Hit Start.
 Or,
if there's no video, describe what you want in your own words. "30-day meditation routine, mornings, 10 minutes." Same output: structured steps you can edit and run.

  — A reference, not a checklist —
Jotine does not gamify. There's no streak counter to break. No "you missed a day" guilt. The routine card buzzes you when each step is due, shows you the time, and gets out of the way. Tap a step to dim it visually if it helps you keep your place. That's it.
  — On-device by default —
Your routines, your steps, your history — all live in a local database on your phone. Nothing syncs, nothing's backed up to a cloud. Tap "Delete all my data" in Settings any time and it's gone. The only data that leaves your device: the YouTube link or text you submit (sent to our extraction server to turn into structured steps), anonymous usage events to help us improve the app, and crash reports if something breaks.

  — Smart notifications —
Jotine respects your phone. A 3-step morning stretch routine fires one notification, not four. Steps clustered close together are bundled. Steps far apart get their own ping. Notifications fire at the actual minute, not "any time today."

  — What it's good for —
  - Morning routines (meditation, stretching, breathwork)
  - Evening wind-downs and skincare
  - Workouts you found on YouTube
  - Any YouTube routine you've been meaning to actually run
  — What it's not —
Jotine is not a habit tracker. It is not a workout logger. It is not a coaching app. It does not score you. It does not motivate you. It just runs the routine.
  — Limits —
3 active routines at a time. 5 extractions per day. We'll raise these once we know how people use it.
— v1 is live, feedback welcome —
