## What is Jotlift?

A workout log for gym goers who just want to log and lift. Open it, add your sets, done. It remembers every lift you have ever put in.

Then, when you want it, Jotlift Pro will make sure you stay on track, get stronger, and improve faster.

WHAT YOU GET STRAIGHT AWAY

Log sets, reps and weight, fully offline
Working, warmup, drop, back-off and failure set types
Complete history with volume totals
A built-in exercise library, plus your own lifts
Light and dark, both designed properly
Add an account and everything is backed up, so a new phone is not a fresh start

WHAT JOTLIFT PRO ADDS

Automatic progression: Jotlift watches for the plateau and tells you when it is time to go up

Routines: Plan the reps and the weight set by set before you lift

Web dashboard: Access to a digital web dashboard to easily manage your history, exercises, routines, and more at https://jotlift.app

Sync: Every device up to date, constantly

HOW THE ENGINE WORKS

Jotlift is looking for one thing: the same weight, session after session, at the same reps. Once that pattern holds, it tells you to add weight and shows you the sessions it counted, so you can check the call yourself.

It will never lower a weight for you. A lighter session neither counts against you nor wipes the slate, so a bad day costs you nothing. Warmup sets never reach it.

The whole thing runs on your phone, from numbers you logged yourself. Nothing is averaged against other people's training.

QUIET BY DESIGN

Jotlift opens on your workout and gets out of the way. It stays silent while you are lifting and waits until you are between sets to say anything at all. It is a log first.

SUBSCRIPTION

Jotlift Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it any time in your Apple Account settings.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-01

Jotlift 1.2 is our biggest update yet. Almost every screen has been rebuilt to be faster, clearer and easier to use on your iPhone and iPad.

LOGGING
- A new set table: Set, Previous, kg and Reps on one row. Tap the check to log the numbers you see.
- Add an exercise and last time's sets are waiting for you, ready to log or change.
- A keyboard bar with minus, plus, Copy down and Next, so you rarely leave the row.
- Drag an exercise card to reorder your workout, or use Move up and Move down.
- Pick several exercises at once, with your recent exercises at the top.
- Add to superset is now a simple sheet, in workouts and in routines.
- The workout header shows your elapsed time and live totals for exercises, sets and volume.
- A new rest card: a big countdown, what's next, and buttons for −15, +15 and Skip.
- Add notes to a workout while you train.
- Removed a planned set by mistake? Tap Undo.

EXERCISES
- Every exercise has its own page: a chart with 1M, 3M, 1Y and All ranges, your records, and every workout it appeared in. Press and hold the chart to read any point.
- Gold diamonds mark your personal bests on the chart.
- Categories have their own view, as a grid of cards you can open, rename or add to.
- Search with no match? Create the exercise straight from the search.
- Pick equipment from a menu, or add your own.

HISTORY
- A month calendar with your totals, and gold rings on the days you set a record.
- Clearer rows: date, workout, time and volume, with a record tag when you earned one.
- Open any past workout to share it, or save it as a routine (Pro).

FINISHING AND SHARING
- The finish screen counts up your workout and lists every record you set, with a medal for each.
- Save your share card straight to Photos.

ROUTINES (PRO)
- Tap a routine to preview the whole plan before you start.
- Duplicate a routine in one tap.
- Routines plan sets in the same table you log in.
- Starting a routine with a workout already open? Choose to finish it first.

AUTO-PROGRESSION (PRO)
- Ready to go up: your home screen lists the lifts that are ready for more weight.
- Each lift's page shows how close it is to the next increase, the reps you've gained and your floor history.
- The logger tells you when you're one or two workouts away.
- A lighter day no longer resets your progress. Up to two lighter workouts in a row are simply left out.
- Assisted lifts now count less assistance as progress.
- After a missed jump, the next ask is a rep, not the same jump again.
- Failure sets count for the weight but no longer skew your rep average.

LOOKS AND FEEL
- A brighter accent colour, and gold that only ever means a personal best.
- Large titles, rounded numbers and smoother motion throughout, with Reduce Motion respected everywhere.
- Native sheets you can swipe down to close, and swipe back from anywhere on a screen.
- On iOS 26 the tab bar uses Liquid Glass. On iPad it sits at the top.
- Haptics when you log a set, step a number or confirm something.

GETTING STARTED
- A redesigned setup with a live example of how auto-progression works.
- Already have an account? Sign in from the welcome screen and go straight to your data.
- Settings are regrouped and easier to find your way around.

Plus many smaller fixes. Thanks for training with Jotlift. Tell us what you think from Settings, Feedback.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-23

Feedback board
Tell us what Jotlift should build next. Open Settings, then Feedback, to post an idea and vote for the ones you want. No account needed.

Auto-progression
Your reps for a workout are now the average of your sets, so 8, 7 and 6 counts as 7.
When you move up to a heavier weight, Jotlift keeps aiming for the reps you were hitting before, and tells you: "Aiming for 7 reps."

Fixes
Adding an exercise now scrolls it into view.
Finishing a workout no longer leaves an empty one waiting to resume.
The workout name no longer gets cut off at the top.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-14

Auto-progression got a lot more talkative, and the Workout tab now
shows you where you stand.

Progression
- The line under each exercise speaks every workout now, not only when
it is time to go up. It names how many workouts you have done at the
  weight you are on.
- A new indicator shows how many of those have counted toward the next
step, and turns green when Jotlift thinks you are ready.
- The rep target moves in both directions. Two strong workouts raise it,
a run of lighter ones lowers it, and a single off day changes nothing.
- Take a step Jotlift asked for and the new weight is protected from
  that workout on.
- Bodyweight exercises progress by weight as soon as you add some.
- The Exercises tab marks the lifts that are ready to go up.

Workout tab
- Your last workout and the days you trained this week now sit at the
  foot of the screen.

Exercises
- 94 built-in exercises, up from 45.
- Jotlift offers once to merge duplicates it finds in your library.
- Create an exercise without leaving the picker.
- Tap a row in your library to open it.
- Add a category from the form, and name your own equipment.
- Search ignores punctuation.

Charts
- A marker for every logged session on the progress chart.

Rest timer
- The countdown ring starts the moment you tap.
