I’m on iOS 26.6, I can clearly see that there are Live Photos backed up in the all media and photos tabs but when I go to the Live Photos tab to filter them, nothing shows except a message that says “There are no items matching your filter.” Still testing it out but so far that’s the one issue I’ve noticed. Seems nice otherwise though. ### 4/5 — Leider kein WebDAV *2026-08-08, version 26.6.2* Mit WebDAV Funktionalität hätte es noch einen Stern dazu gegeben. ### 4/5 — iCloud users read: *2026-07-19, version 26.6.2* If you’re switching to Jottacloud as an alternative to iCloud photos, beware that although Jottacloud will store live photos as live photos in the cloud, they are not shareable or downloadable as anything other than a still image outside the cloud. So if you want to send a photo to someone and let them see the live photo, it’s not possible. It would be good to know that there may be a future way to share live photos as they are, otherwise I’ll have to switch back to iCloud. Could developers answer whether this is being worked on? ### 2/5 — Für Einzelperson super *2026-07-18, version 26.6.2* Mein Zweck konnte Jottacloud nicht erfüllen. Wir haben das Familienabo gebucht. Dabei war natürlich ein Ziel, auch gemeinsame Bereiche (Urlaubsordner) zu erstellen und aktiv von allen Familienmitgliedern zu bearbeiten. Es ging nicht, einen Bereich zu definieren, auf den alle Familienmitglieder Zugriff haben. Wenn ein Familienmitglied einen Ordner erstellt und freigibt, scheiterte eine gemeinsame Nutzung ebenfalls. Dabei waren die Probleme je nach genutztem Gerät unterschiedlich. Mal konnte man trotz Einladungslink nicht zum Ordner, da ich immer in meinen Bereich eingelockt wurde, oder es konnten Bilder gesehen, aber keine hochgeladen werden. Die Einrichtung wirkt einfach, aber es funktioniert nicht, die Hilfen in der App oder im Wen helfen nicht weiter. Fazit: Ein tolles, schnelles, sicheres Cloudsystem mit Datensicherheit in Europa. Für gemeinsam nutzbare Bereiche absolut ungeeignet. Daher werden wir das Abo wieder kündigen und den Schweizer Konkurrenten ausprobieren. Fairly logical system BUT, oh dear, it’s really slow to download whilst watching a stored video. Lots of stuttering & freezing. Żeby dodać swoje ulubione foldery lub kategorie. Ustawienia powinnne być możliwie bardziej edytowane dla użytkownika. Np chciałbym na głównej zobaczyć archiwum lub folder z archiwum tam dodać a nie mogę i muszę szukać bardzo długo. Wenn man ganz auf iCloud verzichten möchte, braucht man zwingend ein Bildbearbeitungsprogramm. Siempre veía las carpetas y todos los archivos que hay dentro de ellas. Ahora sigo viendo las carpetas pero en muchos casos no veo muchos archivos y me sale un error creo que 400. Si vuelve todo a la normalidad tendréis otra vez 5 estrellas. ### 2/5 — Nach nachdem die App installiert war kam die Ernüchterung *2026-02-20, version 25.11.1* Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten mit dem Upload (App muss geöffnet sein, bei 800gb😶‍🌫️). Das App Design und Funktionalität ist angelehnt an icloud, was mir sehr gefällt. Im Alltag merke ich jetzt jedoch schon das Apple einfach so viel mehr Funktionen in iOS eingebunden hat, dass ich nach dem Monat ersten Monat kein weiteres Jotta Abo nutzen werde. Die KI Funktionen und bearbeitungsfunktionen in Fotos möchte ich nicht missen. Ich möchte mir auch keine Gedanken darüber machen müssen ob die Daten nun hochgeladen wurden oder nicht, weil die Hintergrundsktuslisierung nicht richtig funktioniert. ### 2/5 — Naja *2026-02-13, version 25.11.1* Wollte eine Alternative zu Dropbox aber bin enttäuscht von Jotta. Vielleicht verstehe ich auch die Funktionsweise nicht aber das Fotos die man in der Cloud löscht auch gleichzeitig vom Handy gelöscht werden ist nicht Sinn der Sache. Das sollten zwei eigene Entities sein. Außerdem wird nicht z.B. in einen Camera Upload Ordner sortiert so wie bei Dropbox. Außerdem kann man beim auswählen von Fotos nicht "alle auswählen" weshalb man jedes Fotos mühselig einzeln anklicken muss. Ebenso kann man nicht auswählen welche Ordner synchronisiert werden sollen oder das nur ab Aktivierung alles neue synchronisiert wird und nicht die gesamte Mediathek. Gibt noch viel zu verbessern. ### 3/5 — Bon cloud pas de facture *2026-01-12, version 25.11.1* Il s’agit d’un bon cloud. Leur système sync/backup/archive est inutilement complexe. Malheureusement si vous ne prenez pas l’abonnement « pro » avec au min 10TB ( 300€ par an) à l’heure où j’écris ces lignes, vous ne pouvez pas avoir de facture. Donc pas pour les petites entreprises. Pas de facture disponible en 2026 !!?? C'est embêtant. Everything on the company’s website is a downright lie ### 1/5 — Deleting photos *2025-09-20, version 25.8.2* I’m on the free trial version for now but unless something changes I won’t be upgrading to a subscription. Here’s the issue, the free storage was full, which I expected to happen, so I decided to free up space but the app wants to delete the photos on my device, not the ones on the app or in the cloud that’s not ideal, I fact it’s very poor. Damit verstößt die App gegen geltendes europäisches Recht. Ebenso rate ich davon ab diese App zu nutzen, weil sie mir schon seit einem Monat anzeigt, dass ich 13 GB belegt habe, obwohl ich alle Daten bereits überall gelöscht habe. Was wird also angezeigt? Europa und IT... ### 1/5 — Impossible to delete account *2025-04-03, version 25.3.0* I encountered too many bugs in their upload functionality, which made me lose all faith in Jottacloud as a trustworthy backup solution for my photos. Support were very helpful and responsive, but it seems to be impossible to delete your account. The guidance on their website gives website points to a ‘delete account’ feature that doesn’t exist. So now I feel trapped. Also, the website is full of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, which doesn’t exactly foster trust. It just felt to me that Jottacloud isn’t ready for primetime. ### 1/5 — No real privacy - no Option for Mr *2024-12-06, version 24.12.0* Jottacloud is reading meta data of all files 🙀(information from support), so there is absolut no data privacy in this cloud. 😒 ### 1/5 — Beware the unlimited storage *2022-05-19, version 5.2* I’ve used Jottacloud for five years now, it’s rescued my files when two hard drives failed. But now that I’ve hit a certain level of storage, they are accusing me of violating the terms and conditions which is false and they admit to going thru my files that are “privately” stored. They are giving me 30 days to try to download 10 TB of data! Its a unified mess of different device apps into one folder. All I want is device specific backup, not a mess of thousands and thousands of pictures from two phones and an ipad into an unified folder. Seriously, not even wort trying as a backup solution.
