This allows me to hand write events which helps me remember more than typing them. My only complaint is that there isn’t a Home Screen widget. This app would be pretty much perfect if I could see my jots on my Home Screen. ### 2/5 — only two weeks worth of entries before you have to pay *2022-02-08, version 18.3* you can only enter about two weeks worth of handwritten entries before the app ask you to pay for a subscription. I can understand a one time fee. And seriously, couldn't it have told me that before I spent time entering all of my things. Have not heard back in two weeks. It’s actually not a bad app and works pretty good with the iPad and iPad pen... seem like someone made an effort. ### 3/5 — Bummed *2020-01-02, version 17.0.3* I tried to use 3 times. I liked how smoothly the pages turned... However, I want to be able to write on the colander as is instead of having to hit that finger all the time. And I rather be able to pinch and zoom if I wanted to write little. Anybody has the same problem? ### 4/5 — Very good - JotTheDate *2019-08-03, version 16.1.3* Currently, it’s quite useful apps with writting my daily tasks and taking notes what I’ve done daily tasks & activities. Why not keep updating and combine with more functions??? Went to the app store.... there it was... SUBSCRIPPINFIPTION!!! Why??? I dont wanna rent it i wanna buy it, so many apps die imo because I refuse to subscribe to paying ad infinitum for an app 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 ### 3/5 — Needs work *2019-01-18, version 14.0.1* It's a good idea, but doesn't quite work. If I wanted just a handwritten note (line in the pictures) I have to tap on the icon, create an image save it. You now see the image in your diary. Promising so far. Then if you change page (week) and return- the image is gone and it is replaced with an appointment titled My Jot in text! If you then click on it and say you want an image - then draw one it now remains. Seems like a bug, but it could be I am being stupid. When was this last updated ### 2/5 — Great idea, not so great execution *2018-08-17, version 12.1* I think we can all agree that the selling point of this app is its handwriting capabilities yet when you download the app you find that it’s almost useless because the handwriting tool is terrible. It’s like writing with a small spray marker or something. If the developers of this app could just make it so that you’re writing with an actual pen instead, this app would be so much better. For now, I’m deleting it and not buying the addons because it’s not worth it for something I can’t use. ### 2/5 — Not there yet *2018-08-04, version 12.1* I thought this would work better than a digital planner in GoodNotes or Notability but this app is clunky in the way it works with Apple Pencil. I was hoping I’d be able to write by hand in existing calendar entries. But the saving time is too long and I was not filled with confidence it would make it to my Google Calendar. OneNote works with a good mix of writing and text - that is what I thought this might do. The Mac app never got to sync with my iPad and is clunky too. ### 4/5 — Some glitches *2018-07-12, version 12.0* 3.5 stars. I use this app because I can write out my schedule and todo list. The pen skips a lot though, it’s extremely frustrating or else I’d just use the iCal and my note pad. I also don’t like that everything saves as my jot, and that if you are writing a note and get a notification it erases everything you just wrote. However I love the layout of this app and that reminders sync to it. I also love that it. Connects to my Apple Watch. I think this app would be 5 star but the little kinks are simple fixes. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Frozen *2021-02-25, version 17.2.1* On the front screen. States to swipe to learn more. Program wont let me swipe. The app is only on here for downloads. Really buggy. It shuts me out and force quits frequently. The button to view a single day doesn't work. Just horribly glitchy and annoying to work with. Don't download, and don't waste a penny of your money. Plus you can add pictures for example a ticket for an event for that day. It also allows syncing with work calendar. Downside is it can take some time to download but it’s not too long. ### 5/5 — Using this to record my runs... *2019-08-09, version 16.1.3* ...and it’s working really well. I prefer to write in my runs with some details about each work out and this combined with the apple pen is an easy way to do so. So far it’s been intuitive to use and I haven’t had any problems with syncing. ### 5/5 — Goodbye Paper Planner *2019-03-11, version 16.0* For the past few years I’ve been using a paper monthly/weekly planner. When I got an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, I looked for a digital option that would be lighter and less wasteful. I’ve only just started using this but it seems to have everything I’m looking for: fully supports written events across multiple views, ability to import from other calendar apps, easy to use with many customizable options for added flexibility. It’s not perfect, but it’s far better than anything else I’ve seen out there. Also, the customer service has been great so far. The handwriting itself is smooth, clean and looks like your own handwriting. My team and I have replaced other calendar/reminder apps and now use this app as our standard calendar. Besides the app, customer service is beyond fantastic. Very responsive and knowledgeable. I have worked with many app developers and by far this is the best support team I have seen. I cannot say enough great things about the app. As a business professional, you will not be disappointed by getting this app. It will change how you use your calendars and reminders. ### 5/5 — Best app out there! *2018-07-01, version 12.0* I tried several calendar apps for my iPad that would allow me to draw/write my calendar. Nothing worked that well until I found this. It interfaces with all my apple devices and automatically adds my events. I can add or change events, write to do lists and keep it all in one place. I love writing my stuff, its how I think, so having both writing capability and syncing with my devices is perfect.
