## What is Journ?

You talk. Journ writes. Nothing you say ever leaves your device.

Journ is a private voice journal with AI that runs entirely on your iPhone. Press the mic, speak your mind, and you're done. Your words become a clean transcript, a short summary, and a few tags — written by your phone, on your phone.

HOW IT WORKS

Open Journ and press record. Say whatever is circling in your head — half-formed is fine, that's what talking is for. Thirty seconds on a walk, two minutes before bed, five if it's been a day. When you stop, Journ transcribes what you said and distills it into the key points, so every entry is readable at a glance and searchable forever.

No typing. No prompts. No blank page staring back at you.

Entries fall into place on their own. Days build into months, months into a year you can scroll back through. The thing you mentioned in passing three weeks ago — the one that turned out to matter — is right there, in your own words.

SUNDAYS ARE FOR READING BACK

Record through the week, and on Sunday Journ weaves everything into one weekly review: what repeated, what shifted, what you kept postponing, what quietly got better. Not advice. Not a chatbot. Just your own week, played back with enough distance to finally see the pattern.

PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE, NOT BY PROMISE

Most journaling apps promise privacy. Journ is built so it doesn't have to.

• The AI lives on your device. Transcription and summaries are computed by your iPhone itself, not a data center.
• No server for your journal. Your recordings, transcripts, and reflections are never uploaded anywhere.
• No account. You never sign up, so there is nothing to leak, breach, or subpoena.
• No analytics on your words. What you say is not a product.
• App lock. Face ID or passcode stands between your journal and anyone who picks up your phone.

After the one-time download of the AI models, journaling needs no connection at all. Record on a plane, in the mountains, in a dead zone. Everything still works.

NO APPLE INTELLIGENCE REQUIRED

Journ brings its own AI. It does not depend on Apple Intelligence, cloud APIs, or the newest hardware — so the full experience, transcription and summaries included, runs on supported older iPhones too. Private AI journaling shouldn't require a brand-new Pro.

MADE FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK OUT LOUD

• The 11pm overthinker who needs the loop out of their head
• The commuter narrating the day on the drive home
• The walker who solves everything at 6am except remembering it
• Anyone who quit five journaling apps because typing felt like homework

If you can leave a voicemail, you can keep a journal.

ALSO IN JOURN

• Timer presets: 30 seconds, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, or open-ended
• Tags that emerge from what you actually talk about — family, work, the run, the deadline
• Month and year views that turn days into a story
• Weekly reviews collected in one place
• Copy or share any entry — sharing is always your call, made entry by entry
• Delete anything, instantly and completely. It's your phone.

WHAT JOURN IS NOT

No feed. No streak guilt. No cloud dependency. No AI pretending to be your friend. Journ listens, writes, and keeps its mouth shut.

Five years from now you will not remember what this month felt like. Your journal will — in your voice, on your phone, and nowhere else on Earth.

Journaling the way you'd do it if nobody was watching — because nobody is.

Say it out loud. Keep it to yourself.
