Opens quickly. Very rarely crashes. If internet is available, so is J&C. No more searching for papers in the snow. The most current edition, or past issues are accessible….and in our choice - the daily edition is identical to the paper edition. The USA Today is also a welcomed second paper online with our J&C subscription. Convenient and reliable local news anywhere in the country or even the world…..a great way to keep up with local news when far from home. Over decades of time it has been a morning ritual - coffee and read the paper. It is so good to get your news source from multiple avenues. The TV news coverage has become so bias and slanted that an additional view is need to bring balance back into the equation. That is where the newspaper comes into play, an additional source of news coverage. As I get older I have found the mental challenge of doing the daily “Sudoko” very rewarding and confirming of my own mentation and logic capabilities - to check and see if I still have “it.” Since the home delivery system is not as socially dependable as it had been when it was an afternoon delivery of the paper - being able to “go on line” to find the paper is not as rewarding as holding the paper itself, as the texture of the paper itself, as hearing the pages turn as you move through the edition - but it is THERE! It opens in the display version I have set in my preferences and stays there, instead of switching back and forth because of an inadvertent screen touch. Fairly easy to navigate and get used to. I don’t miss the physical paper anymore: the digital version is never late, never wet, and never in the bushes! Loads slowly some mornings, but that might be my network.
