It’s really nice that you can use your apple pen to write too, so it doesn’t limit you to just writing. It’s honestly the best journal app I’ve ever used. The only problem is, that recently after saving a journal log either written with text or by hand, 3/4 of what I wrote would automatically erase if I were to reopen it. It’s been frustrating since I spend so much time writing sometimes and then later find that I can’t see it anymore. When I switched to another app while writing, half of my article disappeared when I came back. ——update I’ve now lost writing in Journal more than once. Previously, part of an entry disappeared after I switched to another app and came back. This time, I accidentally deleted part of an entry and immediately tried to undo it while I was still editing, but there was no effective Undo option. After leaving the entry, there was also no version history or way to recover the deleted text. For an app designed to store personal memories and important writing, reliable autosave, Undo, and version recovery should be basic features. Please improve the data protection and recovery options. ### 1/5 — Lost text I entered *2026-08-20, version 1.7* I was writing and just when I was about to click the purple check button to save, i found some visual glitch that the button seems to have some liquid glass effect looking strange and I found clicking it doesn’t work! The button has visual feedback that it was being clicked but the journal entry was not saved. I don’t what to do so I clicked the left arrow button on the top left, and was able to exit the journal entry create/edit screen, but the shockingly I found all the text I entered was gone except for the first paragraph. I lost all the thoughts, ie. long text i entered and a lot of them are not coming back. This is really frustrating and this single issue is the show stopper, no matter how good or how powerful this app is otherwise, I cannot afford to lose thoughts and ideas like this ever. Undo will not bring it back either.
