## What is Journeva?

Stories worth reading, in the language you're learning.

Journeva is a library of short stories about things worth knowing — this month's good news, life lessons and folk tales, healthy habits, lines from great books, simple recipes. You read them because they're interesting. The language comes along.

Every story exists in English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian, and at four levels — A1, A2, B1, B2. Same plot, same characters, same facts, told in richer language as you climb. Start where it's comfortable; move up when it feels easy.

TAP ANY WORD No dictionary, no second app. Tap a word for its meaning, a note on the grammar, and every other story where it appears — because meeting a word again, somewhere new, is what makes it stick.

READ IT IN TWO LANGUAGES Read a story in the language you're learning, then switch to one you already know to check yourself. Every story is written in all five languages, so nothing is lost in a quick translation.

LISTEN ALONG Every story can be read aloud, with the words lighting up as they're spoken, at whatever speed suits you.

PRACTICE THAT REMEMBERS Save a word while reading and it comes back later for a short practice session — with the sentence you found it in, not the word on its own.

NEW STORIES EVERY WEEK The library keeps growing, including this month's real news, retold at every level.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your progress lives on your device.

FREE TO START Ten stories are free at every level, and every story is free at A1. Journeva Premium unlocks every story at every level, narration for everything, and unlimited practice — with a 7-day free trial. Family Sharing included.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-01

Story titles in your own language: the story lists now show each title in the language your device uses, and the reader shows it above the title in the language you're learning.

Premium is recognised straight away after you subscribe or redeem an offer code, even when you complete it in the App Store.

Cleaner story cards, with more room for the summary.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-24

Grammar notes: every story now ends with up to three short grammar points, each with a sentence from the story you just read. Tap any word in the example to look it up.

German separable verbs: tap "hört" in "… dann hört es auf" and the card shows "hört … auf — aufhören, to stop", with both halves highlighted. Learning German just got clearer.

Hide read stories: a new filter in every category shows only what you haven't opened yet.

Plus a clearer explanation of what Premium unlocks when you tap a locked level, narration or practice.
