## What is Journey Planner?

Ireland's National Journey Planner from the National Transport Authority is the only journey planner that provides timetable and map information from all licensed public transport providers across all of Ireland. It provides plans for trains, buses, trams, ferry, and taxi services and combines them into easy to read journey plans. The app provides door-to-door route plans and has information about scheduled departures and trips near your current location and from any specified point. Your plans also can be for now or any time in the future.

I found this app very helpful, for short trips and moving between cities as well. The info was accurate and easy to search. I’m definitely not local, and I found it amazingly helpful and there was minimal learning curve to find the info I needed.

I am trying to plan a trip in the future. I know the departure location, the destination, and the date.  I want to know what departure times are available. The app seems to require I first pick a departure time down to the minute! Of course I don’t know what departure times are available so all I get is “no route found.” Worthless app.

This may be the single best - as in accurate, user-friendly, helpful - app ever. Ever. Really. Getting around Cork and Dublin has been an absolute breeze thanks to this app. The app and a Leap card? Even better! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We just spent two weeks in Ireland and found this app to be extremely helpful.  I downloaded it while waiting to get on a plane to Dublin at the airport in Helsinki and learned about the Aircoach right to our hotel.  We used it to get around Dublin efficiently after that.  It was helpful to have times and fares shown for each alternative.  Outside Dublin, it also shows bus and train services.

I'm in Bray and the app never takes the dart into consideration.
It has me doing 2 hour buses instead of a 40 min train .
Also can't find dart timetables or travel time either.

I have been using this app for public travel between counties, and within Dublin, an in each case I have found it to be extremely helpful. The live timing in particular is extremely useful and dependable.
