### 5/5 — Peace of mind

*2026-07-28, version 7.1.0*

As a first time mom I love that I can ask different experts (AI or opting for the actual person) questions. It gives me peace of mind with nonemergency questions or scenarios that may come up at any time with my little one.

### 5/5 — A life saver

*2026-07-28, version 7.1.0*

As I’ve navigated my new life as a mom, this app has been by my side. I’ve used it for those “why is my baby” questions constantly. It’s helped me come up with techniques to help him sleep, given me feeding advice, and helped me calm down about those weird baby things that make your heart sink but are harmless. I cannot recommend it enough for peace of mind and support throughout a postpartum journey

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-07-28, version 7.1.0*

I love being able to contact a real person, or just ask a simple question in the middle of the night and always get an answer. Motherhood can feel so lonely sometimes, but this app helps keep me grounded when I need an answer ASAP.

### 5/5 — Love the app!

*2026-07-28, version 7.1.0*

I enjoy using this app from the moment my baby was born. It answers any kind of questions that I have. Grateful!

### 4/5 — Helpful & immediate

*2026-07-28, version 7.1.0*

I heard about this at the hospital and it came as a package deal. I mainly use the chat feature where you get immediate feedback and tips. It’s been really helpful especially as I navigated the newborn phase, 4 month regression, and now starting foods!

### 5/5 — Very satisfied

*2026-07-28, version 7.1.0*

I ask about any topic and get satisfying and logic answers. I even ask The app questions about myself (mental mom load and guilt) , and it answers. Very good helps alot

### 5/5 — Peace of mind from a reliable source

*2026-07-28, version 7.1.0*

The hospital where I had my daughter had a collaboration with a photography company.
If you had newborn pictures taken (free) and decided to buy them, depending on the package of pictures bought, depended on the length of time this subscription was covered.

As a first time mom, this app has been my reassurance at any time of the day or night. Being able to chat with an actual person, have any questions answered and all from a reliable source is unmatched tranquility.

10 out of 10 recommend to any mom as it can help with transitioning to having multiple kids too

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-07-27, version 7.1.0*

Comforting resource as a first time mom. Easy to use app. Resources at your fingertips for those middle of the night worries or questions.

### 5/5 — So helpful as a first time mom

*2026-07-27, version 7.1.0*

I initially got a free month trial subscription for Joy with another purchase I made and it was so helpful I decided to continue after the month trial. From tracking feeds and diaper changes to using the AI parent coach for all my silly baby questions. Seriously so helpful as a first time mom!

### 3/5 — Incredible app, but extremely slow and buggy

*2026-07-07, version 7.1.0*

I love how easy it is to get advice quickly and track feedings, diapers, and sleep. However ever since the last few updates tracking has gotten so slow. To the point it lags so much I have to force close it and reopen to log each time. I hope this feature is fixed in the upcoming updates.

### 5/5 — La mejor aplicación

*2026-07-04, version 7.0.0*

La mejor aplicación para organizarnos como mamá
Se me ha hecho tan fácil monitorear las comidas pañales y sueños y tengo una organización súper bien

### 5/5 — Helpful tracker!

*2026-06-30, version 7.0.0*

This app has been a game-changer for tracking my baby’s daily routines. The interface is clean and intuitive—I can log feeding times, diaper changes, and sleep schedules in just a few taps. No clunky menus or confusing navigation.

### 5/5 — Peace of mind

*2026-06-22, version 7.0.0*

As a first time mom I love that I can ask different experts (AI or opting for the actual person) questions. It gives me peace of mind with nonemergency questions or scenarios that may come up at any time with my little one.

### 5/5 — The reassurance I needed

*2026-06-17, version 6.7.0*

I am a first time mom and I have asked the AI experts a thousand questions trying to understand my new baby and what to expect from her. Not only do they answer my questions and help me understand why she does certain things, they let me know I am doing a good thing by asking these questions or noticing things. It sounds silly, but as someone who has never done this before and is on little sleep all hours of the night, it not only gives me the answers I need but the reassurance to push through the hard phases. Though they are AI, I feel seen and validated, which just helps me break down a little less in those newborn trenches.

### 5/5 — Worth it

*2026-06-11, version 6.7.0*

Having a team readily available to ask all my new mom questions was so helpful. Definitely worth the money.

### 4/5 — Helpful

*2026-06-11, version 6.7.0*

I heard about this at the hospital and it came as a package deal. It’s been really helpful especially as I navigate the 4 month regression. I plan to also use it for help when we start solids!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-06-10, version 6.7.0*

I really love using joy, they all have been SO incredibly helpful to answer any questions!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-08-23, version 7.2.1*

This app was supposed to be some way for me to access my newborn’s photos but ended up being some subscription service that charged me without my knowledge.

### 1/5 — Trapped and tricked!

*2026-06-20, version 7.0.0*

I never wanted the Joy parenting app. It was included in a photography bundle we did from the hospital. I went to cancel it. It charged me over $100 upfront now it is charging me every three months 30 something dollars. I’ve never once used this app. It is a huge scam. I don’t care to use it. I’m not a first time, parent, etc..

### 1/5 — Predatory - WOW!

*2026-06-11, version 6.7.0*

My wife and I had a daughter 3 months ago.

A photographer came and took photos of our baby, and we wanted to buy them. All photo packages had a MANDATORY 3 month subscription to Joy Parenting. We could not get the photos of our daughter without singing up for this app lol.

I told the photographer I would not use the service, and she said thats fine, the first 3 months are a complimentary part of the photo bundle, and then it would not auto-renew.

Well, on our child’s 3 month birthday, guess who I see a charge from? Joy Parenting.

It is extremely predatory to unknowingly sign up new parents (who are facing probably the biggest change of their lives) for your app.

### 1/5 — Thief

*2026-05-26, version 6.6.0*

Cannot get to account to cancel. Have been trying since I was signed up. I only wanted pictures I paid for. Not a parenting app. I had no choice. Now another month has been paid for a service I cannot use. It makes me wish I never bought the pictures of my child from the hospital.

### 1/5 — Scam-like Subscription for Paid Newborn Photos

*2026-05-18*

Don’t be partnering with newborn hospital photographers and locking photos behind a new subscription signup. Even if it’s a trial and you can cancel later. Absolutely a dark design pattern and deserves to be called until it’s addressed. Let me sign up w/o a membership requirement for this. Lastly… having to delete my account through support email to join my wife’s family circle during the trial and not being able to join through the app is frustrating.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-05-06, version 6.5.0*

Terrible app. No way to cancel subscriptions online through a mobile devices. Any webpage you click on will take you to their homepage that doesn’t allow you login, but pushes you to download their garbage app. Would rate lower is if possible.

### 1/5 — Membership

*2026-04-09, version 6.4.0*

It was the day after i had given birth and all i wanted was the pictures of my beautiful girl. Then i got singed up for an every 3 month subscription that i never asked for, nor did i know about it. I emailed them to cancel the subscription and get refunded and i never got a response back. Felt very taken advantage of without my knowledge.

### 1/5 — Disgusting cash grab

*2026-03-06, version 6.4.0*

Like others, I was enrolled in a subscription while trying to access my newborn photos. I don’t recall subscribing to anything but after 3 days in the NICU, it’s not hard to see how it was missed. To be charged almost $40 3 months later for an app I never opened beyond downloading my baby’s photos is absolutely disgusting. I contacted support and have yet to hear back but I hope this company fails miserably. It’s so gross to prey on tired new parents. GIVE ME A REFUND, YOU WOLVES.

### 1/5 — Membership charge

*2026-02-23*

I got this app to access my babies photos from the hospital, automatically was enrolled in the membership to even access the photos, which was $37 quarterly, mind you, as a freshly postpartum mom, I couldn’t think straight and I just was trying to get my babies pictures. Well when the charge came out 3 months later, I contacted customer support to cancel my subscription since I couldn’t find where to cancel anywhere on the app & so I didn’t pay for it again. They offered to cancel and refund my payment, which was awesome, until about a week later when i noticed they never cancelled my subscription & never refunded my payment. When i contacted support again, they read my message and didn’t respond for hours. Really predatory towards newly post partum moms. It’s disgusting.

**Developer response:** Hi there - we do apologise that you've had this experience. Could you please contact support@joy.co so we can get any outstanding issues resolved as soon as possible? Thank you.

### 1/5 — No clear way to download photos

*2026-02-04, version 6.3.1*

The only reason this app exists is to get my baby pictures downloaded. I don’t see such option in this app at all!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Got this app from buying my hospital photos with my newborn

*2026-08-28, version 7.2.1*

I really enjoy this app because the AI is very specific when answering my questions. There is an option to speak to a real human or a phone call. There are effective timers and logs for your baby too.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2026-08-20, version 7.2.1*

I’ve been using the Joy Parenting app since my baby was a newborn, and now that he’s 15 months old, it’s still one of the parenting tools I use the most. I love being able to keep track of diaper changes, naps, and nighttime sleep all in one place.

My favorite feature is the ability to ask a parenting coach questions at any time, day or night, and get helpful, thoughtful feedback. Parenting comes with so many questions, especially when you’re in the middle of something and need guidance right away. Having that support available whenever I need it has been incredibly helpful.

I’ve found the app useful through so many different stages, and I definitely recommend it to other parents!

### 5/5 — So helpful for my newborn!

*2026-08-17, version 7.2.1*

Love this all so much! Amazing to have 24/7 support for my questions in the middle of the night

### 5/5 — Very helpful to new moms!

*2026-08-15, version 7.2.0*

I have found the advice very helpful as a new mom! Having someone to talk to that gives solutions that are more tailored to the information and situation I’m in is so nice compared to cookie cutter responses other places!

### 5/5 — Surprise

*2026-08-09, version 7.2.0*

How much I use this app and enjoy it was a huge surprise to me.

### 5/5 — Great All-in-One App

*2026-08-08, version 7.2.0*

This app is much morr useful and resourceful than I anticipated it to be. Love that you can get advice from experts in real time. It’s also super easy to navigate the app amf track feedings, diapers, and sleep.

Joy is amazing and truly has all answers to any question a parent may have right in your back pocket.

### 5/5 — Wonderful app

*2026-08-03, version 7.1.0*

It was great for when I needed it, I got 3 months free through pictures at the hospital when my baby was born and I used it diligently up until I needed to pay for the subscription.

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2026-07-29, version 7.1.0*

Very helpful and quick. Can ask this anything, and get insightful and helpful advice along with resources from where the info came from

### 5/5 — Peace of mind

*2026-07-29, version 7.1.0*

The Joy app has truly given me peace of mind, especially when I have pressing or burning questions about my baby’s growth, how can I help better as a parent, or what to prepare for milestone wise.
