I’m one of the players who can’t afford to or doesn’t want to pay to play. I’m sure they make plenty of money off of me from the ad revenue. Need more time? Watch an ad. Completed a level? Watch an ad. Want rewards for completing that level? Watch an ad. Oh, you want to play the next level? You guessed it… watch an ad. I actually timed it for about an hour and I spent 41 minutes watching ads. But none of that is why I just removed the game from my phone. I’ve been trying to complete the Christmas event where you had to collect something like 140 cards. The first few days, of course, I got lots of cards. The next week or so, I still got a few cards. But by the last week of the event, I pretty much never got new cards. Seems you had to pay to buy the card packs if you really wanted to complete the set and get the bonuses. Well, I played a couple of hours ago and it said there was 1 day and a handful of hours to complete ALL the Christmas stuff but when I logged back in shortly after midnight, they had ended the Christmas specials/events/challenges. Not the first time they’ve ended something a day or so early, but for me it’s the last. There are plenty of other games out there that seem to be satisfied with getting the revenue for the ads and that let you complete holiday or special events/challenges. **Developer response:** Hello, we greatly appreciate you dedicating time to share your feedback with us. When I want to just take a minute for getting away this is where I come. In the beginning I gave it (4) Stars. It was Great!! Played a game and were able to communicate back and forth with other Team Mates. There is an issue though that I wish the developer would take care of. It is the Message Center - where you go to leave messages for other Team Mates or you can make a request for Lives. 8 times out of 10 that part of the game you Can Not Count On to work properly which is Disappointing. Would Someone any One please address the Messaging Part of this Game…..PLEASE Look Forward to the Message FIX. ☺️ ### 2/5 — Fun game *2024-10-19* I like playing this game. Plus…I DO NOT APPRECIATE BEING PUSHED INTO SPENDING MONEY TO PLAY A GAME!!! ### 4/5 — Pretty good *2024-09-29* I’ve played for a while now, so I’ve found it engaging, and I like decorating the rooms. Everyone complains about ads, and I agree that they’re intrusive and annoying - and here they’re part of the gameplay when you inevitably run out of time or space during a round. But what has become even more wearying is the amount of screen activity between rounds - so much going on with counting points, accumulating rewards, playing side challenges, having to select multiple times to continue. I’m ready to play, but I have to wait for all that to cycle through - too much pointless stimulation and forced interaction. Eventually it and the awful ads will lead me to abandon the game. Most of my rooms are hideous. After getting past Level 1,000 I deleted the game as it took more and more rewards to decorate rooms. I reached the point where it stopped being rewarding or fun anymore. ### 4/5 — Lagging while playing the game *2024-09-19* I love playing this game and have for along time now. I find lately some of the red and purple levels are getting impossible to do even with the extra time and magnets. Let’s be realistic here I’m a good player and have won many times but it’s getting ridicules and frustrating to play. Also part of winning extra money magnets etc is fun but you have to work so dam hard to win things now. And the actual game play seems so slow and lagging which is annoying. Please fix this issue as it puts me of playing the game. I have done the update with no improvement ### 2/5 — Fault in the game *2024-09-18* Sadly the ‘Joy’ in this game is let down badly by its fault. Quite often you simply can not match the required 3 matches causing you to lose games and therefore the knock on effect being to cost money. A real rip off and shame. ### 2/5 — But *2024-09-03* App is great. I love playing matching games. However after reaching a higher level, you are bombarded with adds. I understand having adds in a game, however I do not think it is necessary to have an ad after EVERY level. If you loose a level and are going to “try again” you have to watch an ad first. If you are ready to progress to the next lever, you have to watch an ad first. This wastes too much time. I do have to say that the ads didn’t start until I was well past level 1,000. But now I will no longer play the game as it takes too much time up with the ads. I usually only play games in between other stuff that I am doing. So never for long periods of time. You need lots of coins to get through and does not encourage new players. The team I am in are all upset and feel the same. Engaging and challenging yet simple enough so you can fairly easily earn rewards. BUT the ads completely ruin this game. Ads to play on, ads to continue, ads after you win each game! On top of that their ads are very long and take between 1-2 minutes to get through. You sometimes have to click up to four different screens to finish them. I can’t take it anymore which is a shame because, as I said, the game is pretty good. Delete!!! EDIT: The developer’s response was that ads can be skipped “within a few seconds”. This simply isn’t so. They also responded that there are “several options” for removing ads in the store. Of course: for more money. No game should have ads to watch just to play on. I was WRONG! The dynamic of the game changed immediately upon my purchase and I am no longer able to extend my game if I run out of time by watching an ad. The only option becomes to either pay with points or fail the level. I reached out within 15 minutes of my purchase, asking for a refund and to return the game back to the way it was. I received a nonsensical “glad to be of service” reply that did not at all address my issue. I actually paid $5 & it actually ruined the game for me. Bummer. Save yourself the aggravation and do not pay the extra money to remove ads. I’m guessing the only remedy now is to delete the app and then download it again, virtually starting over and losing my money in the process. **Developer response:** Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I’m through. ### 1/5 — Always asking for $$$$ *2024-07-31* 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽Joy Match 3D constantly prompts users to buy an endless variety of packaged bundled “deals” that are not nearly worth the price. Although they update the app frequently, the results are always filled with more annoying prompts and unnecessary graphics to buy more deals and the game will often have several snags that force the user to either forfeit games or buy more “deals” to continue. What bothers me most is that this app is promoted as a decorating/interior design game, but they are constantly running out of new rooms to design. The updates also include new and annoying difficult side challenges that just take away from the fun of the main game and decorating. Any time any of our team members send emails about constant bugs in the game, particularly those that cause prize and reward losses, the answer from the developer is always the same, “We are working on it.”; there’s never any follow up and aforementioned problems continue. Very disappointing after 6 months of playing daily. I find with each update, it takes much longer to gain points and rewards, the challenges are often rigged to force the player to buy bundled deals, and only zero to maybe one new room to decorate. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 **Developer response:** Dear User, We are sorry to hear that you felt that way. I enjoy the extra element of adding color & decorating the rooms along the way. Just a little diversion that also adds to the fun & gives you some points. I found that using a stylus helps with tapping on the desired characters. & while there are offers of in game purchases, there are NO ADS! Really! No ads! I highly recommend this game. It is my current go to game. I love it. Update. I don’t know what happened but now there are ads. Not a lot & you can delete after a bit, but they appear after every attempt.
