### 3/5 — Great idea but very glitchy

*2026-08-09*

I love a lot of this app and we’ve had great feedback on our wedding site from our guests. However, so much of it has glitches that I find myself constantly having to switch between the app and the browser version of the site. Guest contacts never save when you update them (what’s the point of having tags?) and half of the pages aren’t accessible through app

### 2/5 — Not user friendly

*2026-06-29, version 3.2.7*

Incredibly difficult to navigate through, confusing, have to log in to access anything and even rsvp multiple times.

### 2/5 — Please Fix INVITE Feature

*2026-06-27, version 3.2.7*

Overall, I love how I can organize the schedule and also offer hotels as a part of the tab automatically however, the invite feature is like biting nails. It is so annoying how I have to go through the list of invites that I can purchase instead of the invitation that I already purchased to send to guest, unless I’m on desktop, which is still a bit of a hassle.

### 2/5 — App having trouble

*2026-06-13, version 3.2.4*

Love this app but it’s been having issues. I don’t know if updated or something but it doesn’t load any of my things.

### 1/5 — Joy Created the Problem — Then Contradicted the Refund

*2026-05-24, version 3.2.2*

This was one of the worst third-party booking experiences we have ever dealt with.

Our flight was canceled due to maintenance issues, so we responsibly contacted BOTH the hotel and Joy Travel Concierge to inform them that we would simply be arriving ONE DAY LATE.

The hotel understood this perfectly when we spoke with them directly.

Unfortunately, after we separately contacted Joy with the exact same information, a Joy representative apparently contacted the hotel and incorrectly informed them that we would not be arriving at all.

Because of Joy’s incorrect communication, the hotel canceled our ENTIRE reservation.

Let that sink in:
The hotel only canceled our stay after Joy contacted them and communicated inaccurate information.

Had Joy not made that call, our reservation would never have been canceled in the first place.

So after an already stressful travel disruption, we arrived at the property only to discover:
• our reservation had been canceled,
• our original room was gone,
• and we had to scramble with hotel staff for accommodations because of a mistake caused by the booking intermediary itself.

We were eventually downgraded from the king room we originally booked and paid for.

To the hotel manager’s credit, she acknowledged the situation, waived parking fees because of the inconvenience, and informed us she would approve a refund for the unused first night.

Then things became even more concerning.

After weeks of follow-ups, Joy Travel Concierge informed us in writing that:
• the hotel had “denied” the refund request,
• the booking was considered “completed,”
• and “no funds could be released.”

However, shortly afterward, we received an OFFICIAL refund receipt directly from the hotel confirming that a refund transaction for $197.20 had already been processed.

So naturally we asked:
If the hotel processed the refund, where did the money go?

Because the hotel’s documentation directly contradicts what Joy representatives told us.

At this point, this no longer feels like simple customer service confusion. It feels like a serious breakdown in communication, accountability, and transparency.

Travel disruptions happen.
Mistakes happen.

But customers should not have to:
• suffer consequences from inaccurate communication,
• arrive to canceled reservations they never canceled,
• receive contradictory refund explanations,
• or investigate where refunded money ended up.

We are now escalating this matter because the handling of this situation has been completely unacceptable.

### 2/5 — Maybe it’s just me

*2026-05-16, version 3.1.8*

This has been wonky, I can’t do anything in the app. I can’t edit the site, change colors, or anything.

### 1/5 — Very very disappointed with registry

*2026-05-10, version 3.1.7*

This website is not only a pain to navigate, but the registry makes zero sense. I’ve had 5 different items purchased by family for our registry and every single was out of stock. Why allow the item to be added to your registry if it is out of stock? Sure they send you “credit” but it can only be used for items added from joy, so if you added another registry to your website it won’t work. I’m continually looking for items to use with my credit but ITS ALL SOLD OUT.

### 1/5 — Facebook events has a better layout lol

*2026-05-10, version 3.1.7*

Only half of our invitations got sent out so I had to go person by person for rsvp’s. I asked for help and they tell me to find out who didn’t receive them as if I didn’t have enough to do. Layout and design is awful it’s very disconnected from the guest and I’m pretty sure we’re going to have to remind everyone the details of the wedding as we get closer due to the fact that 1/2 the guests don’t have the info. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — No login button???

*2026-03-25, version 3.1.1*

Login button is blank and I cannot click it, please fix this!

### 4/5 — App stopped working since latest update

*2026-03-13, version 3.0.7*

Hi team! I love your app but it’s no longer working on my phone since the last update. I redownloaded it but it did not solve the issue. The UI is permanently frozen on the main page

### 1/5 — Limited functions in-app and very glitchy

*2026-03-10, version 3.0.6*

It has very little functionality so keep sending you to a browser for most of the things you want to do. Often it needs to be a computer browser, and things glitch a lot. It has very unintuitive UI. That’s been quite annoying for the last few weeks, and now the app’s frozen altogether and can’t do anything.

### 2/5 — It works but barely

*2026-03-07*

I would not recommend it to anyone planning a wedding unless "free" is important which by the time you're paying for a wedding, may as well pay for that too. The user experience on the web app is absolute garbage. For example, on the web app the default pages cannot be deleted, the items on the schedule cannot be ordered without adding times and if you remove the times it randomly shuffles the order, copy+pasting rich text into textboxes pastes wildly wrong with no way to fix it, flows are flat out counter-intuitive or bizarre, load times are long, all kinds of seemingly basic features are missing or you're forced to invent workarounds to do whatever you're trying to do. I could go on but the take-home is to save yourself a headache and pay for a real no-code website tool.

### 2/5 — SUPER slow app/website

*2026-03-02, version 3.0.4*

I’ll start by saying I love the interface and it was super easy to use and plan my wedding with, but the app and website are INCREDIBLY slow. Like, the slowest app I’ve ever used. I never review apps and I felt so strongly after 4 months that I’m so bothered by it I need to review it. I had a hard time viewing the registry, even as a guest. It sometimes crashes my phone because the app is so slow.

### 3/5 — Slowwww as hell

*2026-02-27, version 3.0.4*

Must have patience because a lot of the work you do will not be saved unless you get lucky or save after every little change and even then it will still not work at times

### 1/5 — App not loading

*2026-02-22, version 2.1.3*

Anyone that experiencing the app just spinning and not actually loading? I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled just to have the same thing happen again.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — “Free App”

*2026-07-14, version 3.2.7*

This app asks for money around every feature that takes time to put together then at the last moment they tell you it’s going to cost $80. You cannot even message the guest list without paying $80. Look elsewhere for a wedding website.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2026-07-08, version 3.2.7*

Crashes all the time. Interface is so limited. Lists of guests are not in alphabetical order.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2026-07-03, version 3.2.7*

Not able to use any of it. Can’t share creation of guest list or update photos.

### 1/5 — Don’t Recommend

*2026-06-25, version 3.2.7*

Very glitchy. The app kept freezing and then deleted all of my progress.

### 1/5 — REGISTRY IS SCAM

*2026-06-24, version 3.2.7*

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR REGISTRY. Cash funds are mysteriously still pending, many of our gifts are “out of stock” and so we are issued joy credit that can only be used in their joy store. I don’t want another item, I want the items that my loved ones chose for me. I am telling everyone I know to not use this company.

### 1/5 — Guest list feels impossible to use

*2026-06-17*

I’m having a few issues with the guest page. It’s very difficult to add couples and families together, and the page that opens doesn’t function properly. I can’t scroll to see all the guests, and whenever I click on a name and then try to go back, it closes everything and I have to start over.

The widget also keeps taking me to a random couple’s RSVP, and I have to sign in again every time I try to use it. It says you can add tags to guests, but when I do, they don’t actually save.

The app has a lot of potential and some great features, but the bugs make it frustrating to use. If these issues were fixed, it would be a great app.

### 1/5 — Unable to view registry

*2026-06-15, version 3.2.4*

Can’t even view my registry on the app anymore. It just shows an error message.

### 1/5 — New Update :(

*2026-06-11, version 3.2.4*

I like that it’s faster but the guest list feature stopped working and adding our total responses…

Loved it before the update but now our favorite feature is gone

### 1/5 — Not Usable

*2026-05-29, version 3.2.2*

The website works great, but I can’t do anything on this app. The webpage editing function in particular just reloads over and over.

### 1/5 — Do not try creating website

*2026-05-26, version 3.2.2*

Awful. Cant even upload photos clicking upload button does nothing

### 5/5 — My Dream Wedding

*2026-01-03, version 2.1.3*

This app is amazing, it worked seamlessly for the planning and coordination of my wedding, engagement and wedding shower evites . Very helpful and easy to use , I designed my own website , the customization is flawless. It looked very professional and definitely brought more extravagant features to my wedding day. I highly recommend !

### 5/5 — The best registry I have used!

*2025-12-15, version 2.1.3*

JOY got it right! Other registries are very cumbersome and you have to switch back-and-forth between the registry and the seller of the gift, causing duplication and miscommunication. My purchase through the JOY registry was smooth and accurate. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Event Planning Friend

*2025-11-03, version 2.1.1*

Easy to use and free ❤️❤️❤️
