### 5/5 — Excellent for HQPlayer

*2026-08-26*

There is native support for HQplayer, which replaces the HQP app on IPad. The app is very intuitive and easy to use.

Would be good to have a monthly subscription model

### 5/5 — World’s best music software

*2026-08-18*

When all factors are taken into account; user interface, quality of customer service, updates, performance in regards to stability, cost, and of course sound quality, Jplay is the best I have used. I am a Roon lifetime subscriber and I barely use it anymore.

### 5/5 — The app I have been looking for all along!

*2026-08-05*

This is an excellent app. I have tried Roon (to complex, cluttered and frankly quite ugly) and Audirvāna (to unstable and unreliable for me), but this app blows them out of the water. It is clean and simple, yet really powerful too when needed to be. I love the way it integrates so well with Minimserver making browsing my own music just how I want it. It also plays flawlessly (and gaplessly) to all my equipment (Eversolo Play, Wiim pro and CXNv2 for those interested). One thing I would like would be iCloud syncing of the database to make it easier to switch from one device to another, but as it is I am a fan. Thanks so much for this!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind words. Really glad JPLAY is clicking for you across the Eversolo Play, WiiM Pro, and CXNv2, and that MinimServer browsing feels right.

iCloud syncing across devices is a great idea and one we're aware is wanted — noted here as another vote for it.

Thanks again for taking the time to write this — it means a lot.

### 5/5 — Vergleich mit mconnect

*2026-07-23*

**Developer response:** Thank you for the opinion. Can you please specify what do you mean by ‘runs badly’? Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

### 1/5 — Slow close to perfection but with an epic fail

*2026-07-11*

The app interface is fabulous, extremely well done. I was very excited to start using this platform after seeing how professional it looks. The sad reality is that it is an absolute shìt show for playback. It can’t play music for more than one track before it goes into a ridiculous buffering cycle chopping the music up non stop. What a massive shame. If the developer can sort this out I’ll absolutely come back to using the app but for now, the playback is a total mess.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words about the interface, and I'm sorry the playback experience let you down. Shame you didn't reach out to support first — we're always happy to help.

### 5/5 — 中文版翻译有低级问题

*2026-07-05*

work错译为作曲 应该是作品 movementname错译为迁移 应该是章节

**Developer response:** Hi,

Thank you so much for the five stars, and especially for catching these translation issues — that's exactly the kind of detailed feedback that helps us improve. We'll get these corrected in a future update.

Thanks again for taking the time to point this out.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind words! Great to hear you're enjoying the sound quality and the library organization features — and that JPLAY compares so well to the native Qobuz and Tidal apps in your view. That means a lot. Enjoy the music!

### 5/5 — Another surprised at the low rating.

*2026-05-31*

Tried it with my iPad, KEF wireless speakers. Far better than the KEF app. I’m enjoying listening via JPLAY app. I tried ROON but found it too complicated to setup.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for taking the time to share this, Bob — it genuinely means a lot.
You’re absolutely right that the ratings can be misleading. Unfortunately, people tend to be far more inclined to leave a negative review online than a positive one, so honest feedback like yours is incredibly valuable in giving prospective users a fairer picture.
I’m delighted JPLAY is working so well with your iPad and KEF wireless setup, and that you’re finding it more enjoyable than the alternatives. That’s exactly what we’re aiming for — great sound without the complexity.
Happy listening!

### 5/5 — Perfect with DRUP

*2026-05-22*

Perfect player for me. No need of server. Just connect your Qobuz or Tidal account and play music. I use it with DirettaUPnPrenderer. It feels like match made in heaven. The background is black and micro-dynamics is off the charts. Apart for that it works so well with HQPlayer. Better than Roon. You can change the filter and HQPlayer settings from within the Jplay itself and no need to go to HQPlayer server. Lot of information related to HQPlayer playback is visible as well. If you want something to work with your Diretta setup then look no further.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the wonderful review! Great to hear JPLAY pairs so well with your Diretta UPnP renderer and HQPlayer setup — "black background" and "micro-dynamics off the charts" is exactly what we aim for. Glad the in-app HQPlayer controls are useful too. Enjoy the music!
