Jimmy Swaggart Ministries   This app contains an interactive version of “The Expositor’s Study Bible” by Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart, an audio version of “The Expositor’s Study Bible” as well as “The Evangelist Magazine” – the monthly publication of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.   Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart is the author of The Expositor’s Study Bible (ESB).  To date, the ESB has been translated from its original English version into Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish, and has sold more than 1.8 million copies.   In the 1990s, the Lord impressed upon Brother Swaggart to produce a study Bible that would be easy for preachers and laypeople alike to read and understand.  In the latter part of that decade (1997), the Lord revealed to him the Message of the Cross, which revolutionized the evangelist’s life and ministry.  As understanding of “Jesus Christ and Him crucified” continued to unfold, Brother Swaggart knew this message would serve as the cornerstone for the study Bible he had been instructed by the Lord to produce, as well as for his worldwide ministry.   In 2001, the Holy Spirit showed Brother Swaggart the format of how this Bible would be presented, which he and his staff followed to the letter, making the ESB one of the most unique Bibles in the world today. Disappointed over the functioning and that it has not been updated. Now, it has completely stopped working. A “checking for updates” message appears at startup and doesn’t do anything. At a cost of about $40 this is especially unexpected and unappreciated. ### 5/5 — GREAT App. Best Bible ever! *2025-02-09, version 1.0.3* This bible is the BEST. The expositor notes are spiritually anointed and provide the reader an excellent understanding of God’s word. I’m glad to see this app back on the App Store. It was a bit clunky in the past but works great now. You can highlight, take notes, create bookmarks, search key words, audio dialogue that readers the entire bible along with the expositor notes and so much more. It’s a very beneficial tool. This is so much easier to navigate and keep my place. And the audio files are loading again, thank you!! ### 3/5 — Cannot use on new iPad Pro *2021-02-17, version 1.0.2* After years of use with occasional crashes this app does not run on the new version of iPad software just locks up and turns off 14.4 iPad Pro 12.9. I am very disappointed in the response or should I say the non response to any type of support. Do not waste your money on this app. Just read the expositors bible it seems to have more notes anyway... ### 4/5 — Great digital version of the original JSM KJV queen Elizabeth English *2020-03-24, version 1.0.2* This bible is as good as it could get among many great bible versions out there for different reasons ie tree of life version or others with hidden gems of the original word of God written originally by Lilith first wife of Adam and re written by Seth then given authority to others to re write. To remember why it was important after the fall when Adam and Lilith first wife were like children ### 3/5 — Potential *2019-09-25, version 1.0.2* The audio bible seems to work ok. That was the main reason I purchased the app, but also hoped for more. The Evangelist magazine isn’t updating, most recent edition is May 2017. The word of the day is not the devotional book “The Word for Every Day” like I had hoped. It looks like it was supposed to be links to maybe blog posts, but these don’t work. Please update, thank you ### 3/5 — Not impressed *2019-02-05, version 1.0.2* Had this bible in hard cover first. Travel a bit on missions so thought would be great to take it this way as weight is always an issue. App takes too long to load. Glitchy as. No devotions since 2016. Not a cheap app so feel it is a waste of my money. I wouldn’t purchase again. NO UPDATES SINCE 2016. Not good. ### 1/5 — JSM APP *2018-03-27, version 1.0.2* **Word for today run out after a few months. **Evangelist not up to date but app drops out before being able to open anyhow. **Bible:- -Use to be able to save audio files for when off line but now have to load up each chapter every I time want to use. -App Drops outs at times. -Have found mistakes with the written word due to what is written and that spoken and then checked with hard copy. ##I have given up trying to contact anyone as I get NO response. Thank ### 1/5 — Expositor's Bible App *2016-06-19, version 1.0.2* I am so disappointed in this app. Not only was it pricey (total $41.24) but it isn't up to the quality that this ministry normally produces. The audio portion is very unprofessional. You can hear noise in the background from time to time, microphones being moved, etc. If you follow the text along with the audio, there are mistakes that are constant. It is also not user friendly! Very primitive by today's standards, and the audio will stop, and start, and you have to start all over again. Very disconcerting! I would not recommend this purchase. ### 3/5 — Disappointed *2016-01-17* Unfortunately this app doesn't function as advertised. There is no audio in the Bible (something I was looking forward to), most of The Evangelist magazines are not there, just place markers, and The Word for today doesn't work at all. I am very disappointed in this, especially because of the price paid for it.
