## Newest reviews (13 of 50)

### 2/5 — Lots of bugs

*2018-12-03, version 4.1.4*

Crashes all the time, otherwise it’s a brilliant idea.

### 2/5 — Expensive and needs work

*2017-11-02, version 4.1.1*

Has a lot of potential, but it's a bit hard to use. Would be nice to see the other languages, even if you can't copy the code. And $2/month, are you serious?

### 3/5 — Lots of promise, but...

*2017-04-13, version 4.1.1*

At a basic level I like it and it fits my need for brain dumping as I'm lying in bed or on the go. The UI is rough and a bit clunky, but it works and the tutorial/challenges are somewhat helpful for learning.
$1.99 PER MONTH is crazy for code generation abilities though. There is no way I'm going to do a subscription model. Thankfully I don't really care about code generation that much, though it could be handy if the cost was reasonable and one-time.

### 2/5 — Lovely little app but....

*2016-03-22, version 4.1*

Why would I want to subscribe to it?!

I'd be more than happy to give a few pounds for the useful features but a subscription for something I only need if I don't have my laptop?

Obviously no.

### 2/5 — not very intuitive and crashes far too much

*2015-04-29, version 4.0.1*

cumbersome to keep reloading and figuring out what saved and didn’t save. Time consumer.

### 4/5 — Button text impossible to read

*2014-11-24, version 4.0.1*

The editing buttons at the bottom frequently change color scheme to light-gray-text-on-white-background.

### 2/5 — Good app BUT...

*2014-07-28, version 4.0.1*

App seems good, quite useful. However, only given it 2 stars as most useful stuff covered by monthly subscription which IMHO is totally inappropriate for such an app. Would happily pay a little more for this functionality but NOT by way of monthly recurring subscription. Shame...

### 4/5 — Need Update for New iPhones

*2014-04-27, version 3.2*

Not using the whole screen area at the moment.

### 4/5 — Focused, nice vision of using JSON

*2013-07-25, version 3.2*

Like the options and the samples. Really helped me visualize the structures.
Maybe allowing other container styles would help some people.

### 4/5 — None

*2013-07-04, version 3.2*

Solid app

### 4/5 — I like this application but UI could be improved

*2013-04-22, version 3.2*

I really like the functionality of this app but you should fix the UI make it 3-D. Allowing the user to hide the properties of the objects would be a nice addition as well.

### 4/5 — Handy tool for only 1 thing

*2013-01-24, version 3.2*

Awesome tool to help think and plan data models away from the distractions of a computer.

It would be better if you could build any kind of JSON document. This app is only good for designing a data model, not specific JSON documents.

### 3/5 — Crashes when pasting in a URL for visualization

*2012-11-12, version 3.1*

This app appears to have a feature where you can paste in a JSON URL and it will load the results into the molder. Great idea for a feature, only, it crashes every time I try to use it. Too bad because I could really use this kind of feature to analyze the JSON results coming from one of my clients interfaces. In spite of this, I still give the app 3 stars because it is useful for modeling JSON and this is the only problem I have with the app. Please, fix this bug!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible tutorial

*2019-10-29, version 4.3.0*

Tutorial is impossible I do the right thing AND NOTHING HAPPENS

### 1/5 — Very hard to use

*2017-02-28, version 4.1.1*

I find the UI very difficult to pan, expand, and find nodes let alone edit. Keep it simple, and this is not.

### 1/5 — What?

*2016-03-19, version 4.1*

This is an app that has me questioning the app review process. Specifically purchase screens have incomplete text ending in ...
Beyond that, the app appears to be a prototype. It was never clear how to get data in or out even though I poked everywhere. Many buttons were too small. I can tell a lot of work went into getting it to this point but it is missing the polish it needs to be complete.

Certainly it is not worth a subscription to open up static app content.

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2015-12-24, version 4.1*

The $2 a month subscription is an epic rip off.

### 1/5 — Join App Backer or the app doesn't work

*2015-01-28, version 4.0.1*

If you don't subscribe to App Backer, the app doesn't work. If the developer wants money, they should just charge for the app!

### 1/5 — Shouldn't be listed as free

*2014-10-17, version 4.0.1*

Useless unless you pay for a subscription.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2014-07-19, version 4.0*

The latest release (Ver. 4.0) crashes on launch endlessly. All efforts to resolve this fail. Shame. Looked forward to the update.

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2013-02-27, version 3.2*

Not a nice app to use, froze for 10 seconds each action I did, so removed. Something so simple should be SLICK

### 1/5 — Junk

*2012-07-01, version 3.0*

Won't let me edit any cod

### 1/5 — Tutorial does not work

*2012-01-19, version 2.6*

Try rerouting to a video routine. Much less debugging issues. Post videos online. I downloaded the new version and it's still broken.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Clunky but good

*2018-11-12, version 4.1.4*

This is the only app on the app store that allows you to export your *.JSON files. I don't care that it is clunky and you can't use your own formatting, this works.

### 5/5 — 6 stars

*2017-06-10, version 4.1.1*

If I could give it 6, I would.

Very well done, you need this.

### 5/5 — Useful

*2013-11-05, version 3.2*

Very useful and simple app!

### 5/5 — Umm????

*2013-10-29, version 3.2*

I am sure this will be easy once I figure it out.

### 5/5 — simple and effective

*2013-08-03, version 3.2*

clean, simple, does the job well, diagrams look nice, ample ways to export generated json

### 5/5 — Works well

*2013-01-16, version 3.2*

A nice app for graphically representing JSON. Since there isn't really a standard notation, you need to get used to this one, but its fine. The tutorial worked well, stepping me through the features with some exercises. I got stuck on the last one for a few moments, and there isn't a "give me hint" option or any help I could see, but I worked it out anyway and completed the tutorial. I like the way the app can create a diagram from a URL.

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2012-11-12, version 3.1*

Very intuitive and functional. I like the tutorial that guides you to discovering the solution rather than feeding you all of the correct actions to develop a JSON model.

### 5/5 — Very handy

*2012-10-16, version 3.1*

I deal with JSON a lot on a daily basis and this app makes things so much easier. No more paper scribbles! :-)

An absolute must have for API builders with iPads

Tutorial was a great way to get right into it

### 5/5 — Great for visualizing JSON

*2012-09-30, version 3.1*

A really great tool to help you quickly (visually) grock some JSON. It's even better than just visual because you can interact with and arrange your model. 30 seconds of this interaction helps you understand your data better than staring at plain JSON for 30 minutes.

### 5/5 — Json App

*2012-09-03, version 3.1*

One of the best apps that I have used, outstanding in every way
