It's just bad. ### 1/5 — Poorly utilized *2012-08-20* The instruments don't respond well. The kazoo and harmonica don't use the iPhone speaker. Other instrument apps do it so the possibility is out there. What good is it if people can't hear the instrument?! **Developer response:** The kazoo and jug (there is no harmonica instrument) don't use the built-in speaker because this would create a feedback loop with the microphone. You can listen to these instruments privately with the earpiece (place the phone to your head) or plug in to an external speaker. ### 1/5 — Unplayable *2012-01-26* I guess the pictures are cute, but the sound quality and playability are non-existent. One star because I had to give one to comment! **Developer response:** An external mic is only needed for very old iPods that don't have built-in mics. Headphones are suggested for the jug because the built-in speakers on a mobile device don't reproduce low frequencies well. ### 1/5 — Jug Band leaves alot to be desired. *2010-12-31* I needed a washboard sound for my zydeco band. The washboard sound is elementary. One dimensional. Very limited. The area to play is also too small. Both apps are amazing replication of the real thing. What sets this app apart is authenticity. It aims for the feeling of playing the actual instruments. So just like playing an actual jug, it takes some practice to sound good.
