I have all of my accounts logged it and archiving daily. The most annoying thing about the app is the tracker blocker. I turn it on and the VPN connects. After that, my internet runs like molasses, my Swann and Wyze cctv apps won’t open videos, etc… I always end up turning off the blocker and removing the VPN. I try it after every update hoping it would be fixed but it always turns out the same way. I run IPVanish VPN when I’m traveling and their VPN doesn’t slow my phone down, so I know it isn’t a natural characteristic of VPNs to run THAT slow. Who has the time or even knows how to protect themselves from hackers, trackers, scammers, or identity thieves? It is the one thing that protects your important data and keeps your security from being compromised. Unlike Lifelock and other apps, Jumbo keeps your privacy and data protected and safe. Here’s a quick story, I had my personal data stolen in 2019 which led to losing thousands of dollars from a scammer. My data had been leaked online from the Sony leak which is how the scammers got my personal data. A friend of mine who is in the cyber-security world told me about the Jumbo app and how it can help monitor and lock down your privacy and data security. I went into the appstore and downloaded Jumbo and instantly felt better. I scanned my email address for leaks and sure enough found the source of the lost data. After that, it was easy to know which accounts needed to have updated passwords. Jumbo even allows me to enable 2FA on my accounts, archive social media posts, it alerts me when my OS needs to be updated on my device and generally keeps me protected. I’ve tried a lot of solutions out there since my hack in 2019 and nothing is better - Jumbo is #1 and I love it. Also, when I had an issue, I messaged Jumbo’s support team and they answered that same day and fixed my issue immediately. It’s so rare to talk to genuine and real people these days for support. I can’t recommend this app enough if you want to protect your data! ### 5/5 — What would I do without Jumbo..? *2022-02-28, version 3.27.0* So far, so great! If, indeed, Jumbo continues doing exactly what they claim, (and nothing else), then this will prove to be the most valuable App in existence! I’m holding my breath for the moment, waiting to see if they turn out like some other companies that promise security and only secure you from other pirates while they themselves rob you blind, …OR, if they are sincere in their promise to protect & inform, without any malicious intent. So far it’s been pretty great across the board. So, for now, with Fingers crossed & breath held with anticipation, I say “Thanks Jumbo”! ### 5/5 — RWallace *2022-02-07, version 3.24.0* This app surprised me. I had the free version and it reported my data had been compromised. To see what data had been compromised I had to upgrade to the pro version, which of course, had a monthly plan or yearly. The streaming service that had been compromised was not one I was familiar with or heard of. I felt scammed that I was charged for a monthly plan for a data base that I wasn’t familiar with. This was Friday late night. I immediately unsubscribed , went back to the app and it was still active. I sent an email to them describing all of the above. Remember this is Friday night! I surprisingly received an email Saturday morning explaining how my info was compromised and not to worry I still had 6 more free days before it deactivated the pro version. I know this is long, but I promised I would write a favorable review. Reason being, I have been a member of LifeLock for years and nothing was reported by them. Makes me wonder if all the money I pay them every year is worth it. Unfortunately I’ve been using Norton Utilities since the late 80’s (this was before Windows use to be DOS) LifeLock bought Nortons and is now part of LifeLock. I still use Nortons and now I’m stuck with LifeLock. If you don’t use Nortons, I highly recommend this program over LifeLock. **Developer response:** Hey RWallace! With the push of a button jumbo does all the work to see who has your information and what to do about it. They give you the next step and to start your journey of clearing your name. I’ll admit, I was skeptical about it at first, but as the ad’s kept popping up, I decided to go and read some of the reviews/thoughts about the app in the App Store, and it was then I realized that the app was helping to protect a lot of people. I’ll admit, when looking at the reviews, I would see one that says the app is horrible every now and then just like every other app/game out there, but around 95% of the reviews were about as positive as they come. Even though I didn’t use the product and probably won’t I was charged after I unsubscribe however after emailing the support I always got an immediate response and they were very quick to resolve the issue and put the money back on my card. One thing I would recommend to people is email them and that’s the quickest way. The reason they get four stars is customer service is pretty bad these days so it’s nice to see a company still has morals and does the right thing ### 4/5 — Reviw *2021-12-23, version 3.18.1* I did not sign up. I hope you haven’t charged me anything. If you did cancel at once. I only signed up for free identity theft because it keeps popping up. I emailed you and called texted and everything I know how to cancel jumbo. As long as you don’t charge me that’s ok but I requested a cancellation right from the start. I only signed up for free 7 day trial but cancelled after 2 days. Please notify me if you are charging me. Please cancel once again. I have requested this from day 2 of the trial and every day since then ### 5/5 — Good protection! *2021-12-18, version 3.18.0* With the VPN and protection against unwanted phone calls (very good, but some of the early features like notifications I don’t see often) and keeping out trackers from the good guys as well as the bad guys. However, we must as a society not be given to emails we don’t know and not investigating everything we touch for the computer. We must treat our devices like they are a part of us and not allow them to be polluted when we can prevent it. Jumbo cannot help if we let the enemy in with open arms. ### 5/5 — Great Team Behind a Great App *2021-11-30, version 3.15.0* I’ve been using Jumbo for 2 and a half years and I can safely say this is a must-have for everyone! The team behind the app is extremely generous! I contacted them explaining my current financial situation as a college student and they didn’t hesitate to accommodate me with the most affordable option for the app! It really showed me how dedicated the team is to helping out all of their users. I had specifically asked one if their service reps if I could pay monthly or did I have to pay the full amount? I was told that I could monthly. So, I kept the app. The trial ran out and I get an alert that $99 had just been deducted from my checking account. So, I reached out to Jumbo through email- fully expecting to not get a reply until at least tomorrow, if they responded at all. Within an hour I had a reply- they had refunded my $99 and set me up on monthly pay. They also extended my free trial for the rest of the month. In a world where corporations are selling and tracking personal data we all need protection. The ability to remove old social media posts in a world of “ cancel culture” is another level of protection and becoming a necessity. In addition preventing all of the major players like Google, Facebook, Messenger and Instagram from tracking you secretly and sharing your data with advertisers and other forms of data mining is an added feature that is awesome! It is just not a VPN but the whole package that everyone will find invaluable in todays anti privacy environment. All of the information you’re now looking to delete was given to those apps by you. Those apps that have your info were free and you were the product. Look, this is a great app and I’m willing to pay what it’s asking because I know I could do all of what the app is telling me it can do on my own at no charge, it’s just I don’t have the time. Jumbo is definitely worth it for the convenience. 100 bones for a years worth of coverage and updates on my online activities? Yea, that’s worth it. If you have hours upon hours up to days and days of free time depending on how much free information you have given to Zuckerberg and Dorsey, then do it yourself but if you’re busy, just pay up. Lastly, good looking app. The interface is clean and easy to use. Other than that 5/5 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — You have to pay to see what was leaked… *2022-06-23, version 3.43.0* I’ve had this app for about a few months and recently found out my data got leaked but when i tried to check what was leaked it said I needed to buy one of the yearly memberships which I didn’t want to as I’m literally broke, it just kept telling me I had my data leaked which was a bit true since I had an animal jam account during the whole sites hacking but everything was fine afterwards and it was a long time ago, I wasn’t sure if it detected that leak or not but I am deeply annoyed and would rather pay money to know how to resolve this instead. Also in one of the ads that I saw which made me download it the person in the ad said it was all free which was the whole reason I got it! Also you can only have one email account connected to it!!! It is impossible login to cancel this subscription because app log me out . Try canceling through Apple ID subscription and it is there to cancel because haven’t seen use of using there services. Deleted there app and lost card not so long ago and still charged me . Dude , at least of link or email to address these issues because I am far from unsatisfied. I was hoping to not resort to this because this less than acceptable no email customer support. Cases like do happen so be nice to talk associate. I should not be charged 30 minutes and not allowed to login because software engineer who works background . In ways it feels misleading. ### 1/5 — Worked at first but not anymore *2020-09-28, version 2.14.0* I got this app specifically to help keep my Twitter account cleaned up. For the first month, it worked...but apparently, what they don’t tell you, is if you are super active on Twitter and you do a lot of replies and Tweets, then Twitter will not allow this app to access your account to delete tweets. So now this app is worthless. It no longer deletes ANY Tweets, and tech support cannot help me (although they did email back relatively promptly, to their credit). I even uninstalled and started over, and it still will not delete a single Tweet. I’m certainly glad I’m not paying for the service. Deleting this worthless app. Only works if you do not have super active social media accounts. ### 1/5 — Love concept, but crashes on setup wizard *2020-09-06, version 2.11.0* Really love someone is taking the time to make this issue prominent and front and center, however I could not ever finish setup. Your mileage may vary, but for a subscription this is crazy unacceptable - a website would not crash in this way and you don’t have that as you only get the app. Also, you can’t seem to add your email aliases so you only get to check one email and number (no google voice or home / voip numbers). After getting to the “Instagram” phase I noticed it stalled and eventually unexpectedly quit. Re-opening app resulting starting over at step 1 - LinkedIn. It crashes whether you skip or re-login with saved account. Rebooted iPhone X running latest non-beta OS (13.6.1). Same experience. Sigh. 64 GB free local storage. All I can say is not ready for prime time, but the marketing images and branding looks tip top. ### 2/5 — Not an ID Protection Service *2021-11-04, version 3.12.0* I was disappointed to find out that Jumbo doesn’t provide true ID protection services. They basically just monitor your email address for data breaches, remove tracking cookies and help you remove old social media posts. That’s good and it’s nice to have a central hub to do that but everything they do can be done manually in other ways. They don’t monitor your actual identity information such as SS number, address, and other important ID theft vulnerabilities. Plus, their upgrade strategies are, shall we say, less than transparent. They only offered me 2 options: individual access for $99 subscription or family access for $149 subscription. When I cancelled my trial I found out that they have way more than 2 options and you don’t have to necessarily sign up for their highest cost yearly subscription in order to get what you need especially if you just want to occasionally check for data breaches or clear trackers. They aren’t upfront about that. Untimely I already have other ways to clear trackers, cookies, and monitor my email addresses and I don’t post to social media so this just isn’t for me. ### 2/5 — Other apps do the job better then this one *2021-06-02, version 2.47.0* First of all I like the app but the fact that you have to pay for it (a good amount too $100 a year) for what other free and open source apps can do seems like a dealbreaker. If you want a private browser use Firefox focus or brave or the DuckDuckGo browser with searX or DuckDuckGo as the engine as this combo blocks the majority of trackers while browsing Second, if you want an encrypted email and aliases so you don’t have to worry about tracking or data breaches you can use SimpleLogin and ProtonMail/Tutanota If you want to block trackers you can use Lockdown which blocks a hefty amount of background trackers and it’s a great set and forget app Bitwarden makes passwords very easy to manage and can make very secure passwords to make your online accounts far more secure. Overall I don’t see the reason to pay $100 a year for what you can already do for free AND do better then this app but at least it’s a step in the right direction. ### 2/5 — Caused intermittent connectivity issues *2021-04-08, version 2.39.0* I subscribed to the the service and all seemed well. After a time I started having intermittent LTE and WiFi connectivity problems. I couldn’t keep an internet connection for more than a few seconds. Then after a couple of days the problem went away again for a time only to show up again. Rinse and repeat. I contacted Apple support, went though all trouble shooting steps including a full factory reset. That mostly seemed to fix the issue until after about half an hour, all of my apps had been reloaded. That was my first clue. It occurred to me this began around the time I downloaded Jumbo. I deleted the app and haven’t had a problem in 24 hours. More time is needed to be sure it’s the cause, but I strongly suspect somehow it is blocking some exchange needed to connect to websites, or is somehow otherwise interrupting my connection. I’ll will keep it deleted for at least a week and see if the problem re-emerges. One week in and no more internet connectivity issues. I’m relieved I don’t need to pay for a repair, but disappointed this app causes this problem. If anyone IS running into this issue, please let me know by emailing our support team at support@jumboprivacy.com - we will give you steps to fix this. ### 2/5 — Appreciated the security but with major flaw *2021-03-28, version 2.38.0* I really liked using Jumbo for the reasons others have written about: the sense of security, the data it shared with me, etc. I had to delete the app despite all this: why? For some reason, the way the app took over my vpn caused my phone to be inconsistent with Wi-Fi connectivity. Despite being connected to a server, the connection would randomly drop and reconnect every few seconds to minutes making searches and using the phone slow and frustrating. Despite the security it basically made my phone essentially unusable except for calls and texts. ### 2/5 — The app is nice however, literally killed all data and wifi to my phone *2021-01-27, version 2.29.2* I enjoy what this app does, it makes you aware of so much stuff that tracks you, it is not a completely free service but I think the security is worth paying for. ***why I had to delete the app:*** After my free trial ended I would go back in to just scan my email and apps. I then noticed my phone would barely hold a connection to wifi or to my 5g. I couldn’t even load a simple google search so I searched all over for what it could be for days, looked online, deleted apps, restarted my phone multiple times etc. I deleted this app out of curiosity to see if it was messing with my phone because it’s a VPN. Also, I want to offer you a free subscription for the issues you were seeing so please mention this review! ### 3/5 — Love the app but the VPN virtually bricks my phone *2022-06-21, version 3.43.0* I’ve used this app for years and have recommended it to everyone I meet. (I work for one do the big 3 carriers) Blocking advertisers on FB and deleting Alexa recordings is my favorite feature. The only complaint I have is the Tracking blocker feature. It uses their VPN. Every time their VPN activates on my iPhone 12 Pro Max 1tb, everything lags. Opening website pages lag, including pages I’ve whitelisted and turned off blockers for. I thought it was just the nature of a VPN, but now I use iPVanish and have zero responsive issues. I wish this app didn’t slow down the phone when tracker blocking is enabled. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Didn’t know I needed this App like human needs water *2023-03-04* With todays day and age with technology every one’s for sale meaning the data the phishing and advertising the analytics all make up a profile.. I woke up to my devices being locked out and was over taken.. my apple products that don’t leave the the house.. like Apple TV and my smart tv which I didn’t know has an ad option in the settings.. well after many frustrating phone calls with cell phone company and and those tech support people.. this app was my saving grace.. now mind you I’ve bought other apps and they don’t even compare to what this app will do for you trafficking of analytic information.. this app fixed what I was trying to get done for 8 days straight!! I want to thank jumbo for this and providing the support and heck saving my life !! Not to mention it’s worth the try they back 25k of protection if you get hit by the black market!! The only thing I wish was possible is if the app would allow you to back up your data to iCloud if Advanced Data Protection was detected to be on, and maybe the ability to one-time purchase the remaining identity theft insurance coverage. (Not everyone has 40 friends to foot the bill, and not many friends will believe this is legit. So, what can you do to fix that? It’s quite simple, really. You could just buy your way out of that mess with a one-time purchase.) Sound like a good idea? I’m bad at knowing when and if my iPhone needs a software update because even though I’ve checked update automatically box, apple still doesn’t update my iPhone sadly. But now that I have jumbo I’ve no more worries! It instantly let me know I needed to update, it checks to see if my data has been compromised and lets me know if my iPhone connects to unsafe networks! I need nothing else but jumbo 😃! ### 5/5 — Needed support *2022-11-11, version 3.64.0* I needed to get a copy of my subscription receipt and was frustrated that I couldn’t find a telephone number. I sent an email instead and expected to wait days for a response, and much to my surprise it came very quickly. I was extremely happy with Jumbo’s follow-up and how they sent me a PDF of my invoice. Jumbo helps with tracking and hacking. Jumbo also helps regarding scams, security breaches, as well as data breaches and has proven to be an asset that I recommend. I am very grateful for the service Jumbo provides. ### 5/5 — Most valuable app I have ever purchased *2022-09-26, version 3.56.0* I had multiple issues like my email passwords being changed, apps being hijacked, slow performance, and my information being found on the dark web. After using Jumbo for just two days, apps went back to displaying as they should (the background of my notes had changed at some point; using Jumbo fixed that). Also, Jumbo found over 1100 trackers on my iPhone in one week. I personally like the fact that the app. assists the user as to how to adjust privacy settings on Facebook and Google. I like the vault option. My iPhone and iPad are working as they should. Also, they are very speedy. I highly recommend paying for pro. At the start, Jumbo found handful of passwords that had been compromised. That set my hair on fire, but I was able to delete or change sign-ins before any damage was done. I recommend Jumbo, especially for people who are decades older than the internet & therefore less comfortable &/or trusting of it than our kids are.
